Cliff and Attila were now playing baseball in Hurkha's Great Room.

*SMASH*

"That was a double!" Cliff bragged.  "It was a foul!" said Attila. 

"Was not!" said Cliff.

"Was too!" said Attila.

"Do over!" said Cliff.

"Fine!" said Attila.

*CRASH*

"Okay, that was a grand slam...." said Attila, looking shocked. 

"I'LL SAY!" Cliff said as he laughed.

The dancing/slave girls heard the ruckus.  "What's going on, honey one of them asked Attila.  "I hit a grand slam!" Cliff bragged to her.  The girls oohed and aahed over that, stroking Cliff's ego for him.

"What can I say?  I'm a natural!" Cliff bragged, as he and Attila took the girls with them back to their bedrooms...

(Hey, you're right, Silver does look like a Lynx. Except he has a tail. Two, in fact. Also, nice job on Rayn, is she gonna be sticking around long?)

Rayn runched her forehead, annoyed by the lynx's lack of interest. He just seemed to nod his head, no matter what she said, even if she asked question. She realized that her common wasn't good, thanks to the broken MacBeth slang she'd grown up with, but she figured that someone who could talk the way he did, all long and flowery, should be able to figure her out. After all, she could figure him out, sortof, and the rose-pup knew what she was talking about.

He eventually turned away and continued work on his machine, some big ship that reminded her a little of the ones that were stationed at an airbase near the first home she remembered. It was shiny, she could see her face reflecting in the metal.

She could see him in the cockpit, mumbling to himself about something. She cocked her head thoughtfully, watching him. He looked up a couple of times, looking more bothered every time. She was about to ask what he was doing, when the rose-pup showed up again.

"Have you seen Cliff and Atilla? I can't find them anywhere," she called up to the lynx.

"Oh, hey Freya. Welcome back." Silver replied, having not seen her arrive. "Cliff and Atilla? I donno. Those two boneheads are probably off having an inter-spatial farting contest or something."

He looked down at the Avian. He thought she had left.

"Hey, bird!" he called to her. " I need a hand with a test here."

he hopped onto the sill of the StarCat's cockpit, then into the back seat, pushing aside the attache case, his helmet and his blaster.

"Climb into the front seat there. I'll tell you what to do."

Once again, Odin climbed up into the Dragon, strapping himself down into the seat. He had to take a while to loosen the harnesses a little to accommodate the extra bulk the armor gave him, but after a minute or so, he was ready. "Odin standing by." He reported over the teams com-channel as he lowered the canopy and taxed the Wolfen into position.

Once again, Odin climbed up into the Dragon, strapping himself down into the seat. Steve got his craft ready. He felt something strange with his body, an urge to beat up someone. After seconds of great effort he was able to focus again. He went inside his cockpit, readied all systems, then launched into the air, circling the skies.

"Launching in 3... 2... 1...-" All of the sudden, three assault cruisers warped out of the ring gate and started attacking the Great Fox. "Serena! Get the sheilds up! Launch the fighters!"

Tiberius launched and doges waves of missles ad laser dire that hit the Great Fox hard. Fighters started to launch from the cruisers which made things harder.

"Way ahead of you Fox."Serena said "I detected them  coming through the gate the fighters are launched sheilds are up and we're  slowly retreating to safer space."Serena  said .

"Odin DO You have any bombs on ya  form on my wing and let's see if we can jam those fighterbays!"Krystal said over the comm channel as she avoided fighters.

Alex start shooting down fighters as she flew i erratic patterns to avoid being chased.

Kari launched a bomb into one of the battle cruisers in a attempt to jam the fighter bay before she turned on the enemy fighters.

(A Zypher Ring Gate is like a wormhole through space. It's what they used in Assault.)

(And Kursed, that takes the fun out of it. its also godmodding when you say something like "I detected them before they got here" which isn't possible in the first place. It's a wormhole.)

(So odin's craft is the Dragon X-12?)

(No, that's something you've got from another RP I've participated in I suspect. Odin uses a customised Wolfen X. Blindlingly fast and powerful, but often in need for repairs.)

(Also, could you try to use puncuation a little more Kursed? It's kind of difficult to understand what you mean when nearly all the sentences float into one. No offense.)

Odin gritted his teeth as he launched straight into dogfighting hell, right after Tiberius. He brought the fighter into an evasive roll to get out of the path of a heavy burst of lasers, which instead hit the Great Fox's hull.

The enemy cruisers banked hard left, and brought their broadsides up against the teams mothership. With almost all her firepower concentrated into the massive frontal lasercannons, she was a sitting duck against the more manouverable enemy, and her shield wouldn't hold for too long under such a barrage.

It was at that moment he spotted the squadrons of enemy fighters taking off from the cruisers hangar bays. There were many of them, they would find themself horribly outnumbered in a matter of seconds.

The first of the enemy fighters were clearly heading for him and Tiberius, and Odin responded promptly by reducing his trust, purposefully lagging a little behind and to the right of his teammate. Tiberius's Arwing banked hard left, and the enemy pilot swooped in behind him, having failed to spot the black Wolfen against the dark emptyness of space. "Big mistake rookie." Odin grumbled to himself over the enemys mistake as he fell in behind the two fighters. Tiberius spotted this, and rolled out of the way a split second before Odin opened fire with his twin lasers. Countless red streaks of concentrated energy shot out and tore the enemy fighters wing of, sending him onto a deadly spin. Unable to regain control, he smashed into a drifting asteroid, and went up in flames.

"Thanks Tib." Odin muttered over the com-link, before noticing he had caught two boogies himself on his tail. Reluctant to ask for help, he decided to have a go himself in getting rid of them. He started swinging his fighter from side to side before going into a wide corkscreew manouver. The longer route he now flew in now made him move far slower than the enmy pilots, and one of them overshot him, the other breaking of for now. Odin grinned ferociously as he once again squared the enemy into his sights. A burst of lasers to his engine caused the fighter to rupture in front of him, and he narrowly rolled out of the way to evade the debris.

That was two down, but still a lot more coming. As of now, it didn't seem like any of his teammates were in need of help. They seemed to be doing just fine in fact.

It crackled from the com-link with Krystals voice. Odin gunned the fighter after the vixen, quickly cathing up with her. "Nope. I've tailored this baby for dogfighting and air-superiority. I'll cover you as you blast those hangars to pieces." Odin responded, falling into position by the side of Krystals fighter.

Tiberius readies some charge shots to aim at the lead cruiser's sensory array. It would hinder its ability to fire and let him sneak in and take out the primary systems of the ship. He made a few strafes on the array, hitting only a few times because of his lack of available time.

The Great Fox was getting hit considerably hard. Sheilds were brought up a little too late, so the hull was at 75% and falling. Sheilds were failing. Primary weapons were offline. The only thing available were defense cannons. Fox was on the bridge trying to bypass systems. "I'm trying to see if there are any programming protocols I can bypass, Fox." said Serena as she was trying to help. But a torpedo hit a bigger part of the hull. Serena's holographic display went fuzzy and then out. The computer core was hit badly, and her program was put offline because of the sudden decrease in processing speed. "Finally. I can work without someone telling me what to do." said Fox, obviously not meaning any harm to the hologram, but he didn't like something working for him when he could perform perfectly fine on his own. She was rude anyway. He finally brought the main cannons online. But targeting was offline. He had to switch to manual cameras, which were thankfully operational. There was no cross hair, so Fox stuck tape in the center of the screen to mark his own. He fired a few shots to keep the cruisers busy, and take out some of their weapons.

Tiberius saw this support and made a final strafing run the first sensor array. He lined up and fired. Critical hit. The sensor array was destroyed. He looked for an empty fighter bay and found one. "Odin, follow me!" said Tiberius. He headed in alongside Odin and landed without being detected. Once both of them were in, he engaged his HUD and ordered his fighter to go drone and act as a decoy. Their suits, although partially metal, were silent. He ran to the door of the main cannon defense room and put a snake camera under the door to peek around.

"Fine keep my back clear while I get a lock on the fighter bay so i can unload a swarm of hornet missles."Krystal replied  flying towards the 'belly of the beast'.

Silver had never seen somebody bound into the high cockpit of the '214 so quickly. This was one nimble bird. He also didn't expect her to turn around and look right at him.

He flicked a switch at the side of the screen that dominates the rear control panel. The screen lit up, showing nothing but static.

"All right, see the green area on the instrument panel, down between your knees?"

The bird silently turned back to the front panel, then nodded.

"Flick the switch in the upper right corner of it."

Silver had never seen somebody bound into the high cockpit of the '214 so quickly. This was one nimble bird. He also didn't expect her to turn around and look right at him.

She did as she was told, flicking it easily. "And what's? What's it do?"

Both the screen on the rear control panel and the smaller display on the forward panel flickered, then showed an out-of-focus picture of the hangar floor.

"It activates the visual tracking system for one of the missiles under the fuselage." Silver replied. He turned the guidance dial to 'vector match', and the camera on the nose of one of the missiles under the StarCat focused straight ahead. The screens now showed the wall of the hangar directly in front of the ship.

"Just wanted to make sure I didn't buy dud missiles." he sighed. "Now then, if you'll turn that switch back off and hit the one just below it, we'll see if we can track down Cliff and Atilla."

(Booyah! Seems I'm at two places at the same time. Give me a moment, and I'll fix it.

On another note, the enemy we fight against, what do they look like? What crafts are they flying?)

"Copy that." Odin responded, evading another burst of lasers shots from the closest cruisers point-defense batteries. Seeing the attack run coming for the hangar, the assault cruiser banked hard left and the glow from its engines increased in strength as it slowly accelerated foreward, trying to perform an evasive maneuver. Meanwhile, a couple of enemy fighters came swooping in from above, trying to get a lock onto Krystals fighter.

"Can't let you do that, punks!" Odin mumbled as he picked one of them down with an accurate spread of lasers. The other fighter broke of, seemingly wanting to do a long sweep and come around behind Odin. Big mistake, before he was finished with that, they would have hit the cruiser, and hit it badly.

"She's all yours Krystal." He noted, right before he spotted the two missiler streaking out from under her fighter, accelerating straight for the hanger opening. Breaking off their run to make some distance from the explosion, they caught another couple of enemies on their tail. Odin felt the Wolfen shake around him as it took a couple of hits, and he noticed his shield fall down to 67% in a slit second. It was at that moment the smart bombs detonated inside the hangar of the cruiser. The hull started to rupture in several places as a chain of explosive reactions took place within it. Shrapnel was thrown out by the explosion, damaging one of the boogies on his tail, and causing the other one to break off.

Still, the cruiser was holding together. Just. But it wouldn't be able to do much in that poor state, as it came clear as it started to limp away from the main battle, with a considerable angle of list.

"Odin, follow me!"

It crackled over the intercom system, unmistakably Tiberius voice. Odin soon spotted his Arwing, heading for one of the fighter bays of the lead cruiser. "Coming." Was his only response as he gunned his fighter after him, while switching to the teams main frequency. "Tib and I am boarding the command cruiser, try not to blow it up while we're in it, would yah?"

Having gotten that out of the way, he followed Tiberius and landed inside the hangar. As this had been the first of the cruisers to start launching fighters, it was now empty of enemy crafts. Odin opened the canopy and jumped down onto the hangar floor, the rubber pads under soles dampened the sound. He broke of into a silent run, stopping right behind Tiberius, which were scouting into another room with a snake camera.

(How's anyone supposed to know that? I haven't even got the faintest clue what ship you're piloting anymore. Fixing it right now.)

I think I said something about it before... or i thoguht I did krystal is flying the azure Nova Veritech fighter although even at this point I doubt she has the time to transform it. Anyway i probly should have told you i wanted to take the shot oh well i'd like to take the next one. )

Krystal pulled away from the exploding Cruiser as she checked her remainign missles 50 left in the first bank and 100 in the other. "Odin, I'm following you two?"  Krystal asked as she headed for  the last cruiser shootin lasers at any fighter who followed the other two.

Targeting the open fighter bay she started to set the target farther inside so that the missiles would hit critical parts inside the ship.

Tiberius ducked down as he saw the blasts. "Mom!" he yelled silently over the intercom. "Hold your fire! We're inside!"

" Just a precautionary measure." Krystal replied as her craft soon landed behind Odin's. The blue Vixen soon  jupmed out of her fighter staff in hand.

Tiberius heard gaurds comming in. "MOM!!!" he yelled angrily. "Don't you know anything about not letting the enemy know we're here? This is the second time you've almost killed us!" A gaurd came out the door behind him. Ti grabbed him and smashed his head into the wall, breaking his neck.
