Now that Celebi23 have gathered together an archive of media related to the unfinished Dinosaur Planet, one should have enough data to make up ones decision. http://forums.starfox-online.net/index.php?topic=5515

In your opinion, would you have preferred that it had been released as originally inteded, as a last great swansong for the N64 instead of being adapted to the Starfox universe and released on the GC?

I like KRystal better as a Vixen than  a cat.

^Ya :)

Also, Krystal wouldn't be part of SF :(

I wouldn't have given Dinosaur Planet a chance tbh lol

You know I have to say DP looked quite interesting. But a lot of things if you noticed are in SF Adventures. As a matter of fact I don't really see that much of a difference between  the two games except the option of letting you switch between characters.

Anyways, I'm a Starfox fan, Adventures was pretty good, It introduced Krystal, and also introduced On foot exploration into the series. I'm going with Adventures.

Yeah, the main good thing it added was adventure-style gameplay (possibly good if done well) and Krystal to the Star Fox series of games.

Totally.

What's done is done.  Screw Dino Planet....

I would have liked to have played Dinosaur Planet, there's just something that seems so epic about it. From the name all the way down to the story. I was also a big Rare fan, they had a way of encompassing plain old cartoon-style fun into all their games.

However, I will say that it probably benefited from being converted to the Gamecube. There's also the Krystal factor, but I'm sure the SF series would have ended up with a female character anyway, maybe Fay or Miyu.

My real question is whether or not the Starfox series would have continued if Dinosaur Planet hadn't become Starfox Adventures. It's pretty plain that adding the adventure third-person aspect changed the franchise quite a bit. If dinosaur Planet had remained as it was after coming to the Gamecube, would the next Starfox have been more rail-shooter oriented? Would we even have the third-person shooter aspect we have in Assault?

That was quite close to what I tought as well, and why I voted neutral for it.

I'm very glad they changed it to the CG at least, the cababilities that brought with it made Adventures perhaps  the visually best looking Nintendo game to this date. I suspect it would have been almost completely drowned in the flood as more techically advanced games for the new platforms was launched.
