Vindr
What television shows have you decided to tolerate in the current era of crap we endure from NBC?Actually, The Office is one of my favorites, I know Sabre is going to rant and mumble saying how the British one is better and how Americans suck and de-rail this topic into a flame war so let's leave that as is for now, HMMK?The only new NBC show I've also tolerated was Trauma, because it was decent and wasn't ER as in over dramatized. Unfortunately the ding-bat CEO decided to pull it so I'm gonna tell him were he can stick his new "Chuck" television spot. But while we're on the topic of Medical shows, House and Scrubs are other great ones too.As for the CSI stuff, it's all pretty much solve crime, include a couple of vices and drugs, then we're done. The closest I'll ever get to that is Fringe, which is pretty much the X-files except redone. Actually, it's done wonderfully. Whoever writes this should really write movies in my opinion. So what do you tolerate?

Showtime 1-1
I gave up on TV. Our local station got taken over by some network entertainment tabloid, and every show I've seen based around airplanes is overdramatized to a stupefying extent. Besides, most of the show I like to watch aren't on anymore or aren't on channels I have, so I just watch them on the interweb.I do, however, watch racing and sports when they're on, but that's not really network TV. Vindr
Why is TV dying, exactly? Is it the internet and pod-casting that's killing it?After the invention of the internet and gaming counsels, TV is pretty much growing profitless with youtube, iTunes, and home made movies that anyone can create, post, and watch. Advertisers are starting to lose money because people are watching less television. Which is why cable companies and networks like NBC and FOX are trying to push a bill through congress that removes over the air television, thus making you pay for any form of television at all.BTW thanks for the pirated TV,
Sabre
The Birtish office was better BLEEEEH!Seriously though. The British one was crap and the american one even crapper.Back on topic. In Britain we've had mandatory TV fees for a while now. Recently though they have started taking the mic. As a result, people like me, we don't want to pay for it.There are good TV shows starting to appear again though. Harry Hills TV Burp is a classic, as is the various programs by Charlie Brooker. His current series is Newswipe and is very me. Also goes on about fear in the news.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iVAZKreer8When it comes to USA Law and Order is the best shows out there except for criminal intent which is rubbish and confusing, something I put down to auutism despite the lead character also has autism. It's a bit of a mess to be honest.House is also great, and oddly stars a famous brit as a yank, and some yank as a brit. Both do a good job but it is weird. On pirate TV, it's the only way to get the best stuff. I DL all the law and order episodes from america because the british TV places won't show it to me, plus it's more convenient. I've also got extreme dinosaurs, Gargoyles, Rockos modern life and other classics that, again, they won't show to me. On a related note, anyone know a torrent of Buzz Lightyear the series be sure to PM me as I still want that fantastic show and my VHS' are getting on a bit. Asper Sarnoff
Of all the things sent on the device we all know as the television, there is only one, yes ONE, show that I HAVE to watch. Namely Top Gear. It's officially a car program, but is just as much as a comedy chat show with three very different middle-and-above aged men. It is simply breathtakingly good. The only thing that niggles me is how biased they can be sometimes when it comes to testing cars. They also take on various challenges, such as for example starting on the eastern border of Bolivia and driving trough the amazon, over the Andes and to the west coast in three cars bought for 1500 USD. It makes for epic fun, great shots and an amazing show.Just see this to get what I'm raving on about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KzxuEOxYSLE

ThePointingMan
Becauser those two are rubbish?Rubbish they may be, but anything else is ten times as rubbish as those two...I mean like T.V's just kinda lame. I'd much rather be playing video games, but when it's the time of sleep, I cannot make the transition between playing video games and sleep without watchin a bit of T.V. so I've kinda mapped out that the time of sleep is the time when everything is foul but Fraser.and yeah this too...I gave up on TV. Our local station got taken over by some network entertainment tabloid, and every show I've seen based around airplanes is overdramatized to a stupefying extent..Airplane shows = INSANELY DRAMATIZED! Not that I'd watch em if they where not, but they are.
Showtime 1-1
Turned on "Ice Pilots NWT" recently and learned how a bent connecting rod in a P&W R-2800 engine can make the wings fall off of a C-46. THAT'S JUST RIDICULOUS!

Showtime 1-1
In english?Oops, sorry... They just made a mountain out of a relative mole hill. In real life, you'd lose a hundred or so horsepower and it would shake pretty bad, but not bad enough to make the wings fall off.It does bad stuff to airplanes, don't question it further or your head will explode.Wise words!
