Television

I remember a lot of old TV shows that I used to watch, such as CatDog, Looney Tunes, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, The Andy Griffith Show, Pink Panther, The Flintstones, The Smurfs, Top Cat, and the old series of Pokemon. I miss those shows a lot. Luckily, I have Boomerang so I can watch some of those shows. It is such an awesome channel. TV these days is just crappy and kind of bland. I'm lucky that I can even tolerate all these new shows such as Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack, and Fan Boy and Chum Chum. The Penguins of Madagascar is actually pretty good since it's based off of the Madagascar movies, so I can definitely tolerate that.

Rocko and The Angry Beavers. I used to LOVE those shows.

The only shows I make it a point to watch anymore are the Monday night comedies on CBS, mainly The Big Bang Theory, that show is actually pretty hilarious. Otherwise I stick to the movie channels or Youtube. Though I do like stuff on the Military Channel.

oh man, I loved those two, specially Pete and Pete!, it was the best of the best

Pete and Pete is out on DVD, but Are You Afraid Of The Dark...

I can't find any copies of those darn DVDs, anywhere.

Amazon had 'em for sale by 3rd party merchants, then they became unavailable.

Rocko and Ren and Stimpy ruled, as well as Angry Beavers, and I liked Kablam back then...

Almost everything I like nowadays was also stuff I used to like:

MythBusters: Never new anymore and anything new sucks.

Futurama: I'm lucky to catch it on Comedy Central

Colbert Report: forget to watch.

Nicktoons network, a seeming indy channel from Nick, used to show old shows now, but they no longer do that.

Toonami is gone, just as I started to like Anime.

T.V. sucks.  YouTube for the win.... at least until it turns into HuluTube, basically.

Oh, yeah, Kablam was awesome, as were the Angry Beavers, how could I forget to mention that!?

Yeah, Mythbusters has hit the skids.

I forgot about Futurama, yeah, I love that show too! Glad it's on Comedy Central.

I forget to watch Colbert Report too.

Aw, I didn't know about the Nicktoons network, dang!  Sucks they no longer show the old Nicktoons

It sucks Toonami is gone, I was just starting to like Anime too.

I agree, TV sucks, and youtube rocks.

-The older Rugrats shows were good, but then that show went to hell.

-Doug...might've been cool at one time...

-Hey, Dude...not as great as Salute Your Shorts, a much better show, IMO.

-Clarissa Explains It All...worst theme music ever, the show itself sucked.

-Keenan and Kel, crappy theme music, Great Show otherwise, it was HILARIOUS! xD

-All That, more like All Crap

-You Can't Do That On Television...I dunno...*green slime pours all over me* EXCELLENT SHOW!

-EEk the Cat was funny for a while, then it went to crap

-Goosebumps, not bad...

-The Nightmare Room, cool...

That reminds me, anyone remember Double dare 2000?  Or perhaps U Pick Live (wasn't entirely crap at first, and now I miss Uncle Plasma...)  Also: Yu-Gi-Oh before GX came.  The Fizz on the 101, CGI on the 101, and Avatar, as well as Danny Phantom, sucks that got practically no support, and it did start to turn depressing WAAAY too quickly....

I remember that, and the ORIGINAL Double Dare with Mark Summers and Harvey...

I just found something pretty good, Important Things With Dimitry Martin,  it's pretty funny because it doesn't even try, but still had pretty funny moments.  I guess it's a lot like TV a stoner would make.

When I was a kid, I liked Power Rangers, before the Zeo Rangers transition.

I liked the old school Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, when I was little.

Same .

Nowdays I rarely watch TV. Sometimes, I turn it on for the news, but crap, allways someone has been violated or murdered. I have been following for some time the "Meerkat Manor" but then it has like 4 seasons so it was pretty hard for me to keep track of it.

So, believe it or not, I rarely watch TV.

I love the stuff that I can buy on DVD and amuse myself with for days. :P I'm watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer right now and The Muppet Show. The other series' we have on DVD are more recent things like Heroes and Jericho :P I have House, too. The Buffy is actually my sister's, and she has Angel, too. x3 She also has The Tribe. We're drama junkies. I think that's all we have...

Oh, that doesn't even include the full series' of anime I have on DVD. :D As far as that goes, I have the full series of Sailor Moon (when I say full series, I mean the whole shebang, through season 5, the movies, etc.), Steel Angel Kurumi, and DearS. I think I have one more, too, I just can't remember...

tl;dr I spend a lot of money on DVDs of TV.

I remember the old school power rangers, that show had the best opening song, EVER! *wicked guitar solo power, ACTIVATE!*

Link to the opening song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OfOACVCOJsM

And oh man, Sailor Moon, I used to watch that a long time ago when I was like 8, was better than most people give it credit for.

Laugh Tracks should be banned by the FCC, and so should disgusting commercials (like that Dog dragging his @$$ on the carpet for that Stanley Steemer Carpet Cleaning Ad.)

That just reminds me of the kid's toys commercials that are slightly changing words so it won't be as bad, like those little plastic cars and trucks that actually run and like 5 year olds can ride in, there was one where the slogan for it was, "This thing kicks asphalt!" I saw that and just said, "No! The point of these commercials is not for parent's to see and say, Gee, lets get that for our kid, its for the kids to see and ask the parents for, and they make that line that's almost suggestive (don't know the right word for it, suggestive is the closest I got), that's not right!" And of course, a guy I knew in high school was pissed about the "flat buns" rap commercial from BK, since his baby daughter would be growing up with commercials like that

That was the cause of the dog dragging its ass, Sabre, but there's better ways to promote a carpet cleaner than a dog dragging its ass across a carpet, how about dropping some food that stains, or such, not a commercial that can potentially disgust someone, the point gets across either way, "If your carpets get dirty, use OUR product because it will clean them."

They've used sex the sell just about everything, but I don't think people have become physically ill at the, "Use our products and you'll get laid" commercials, probably shake their heads and wonder what the world's coming to, but not physically ill. But even worse though was the one where the guy is eating a burrito while doing an autopsy, and it falls out of the wrapper into the body, and he just pulls it out and keeps eating it, and I believe that commercial was for a cell phone or something like that, that actually killed my appetite, and I don't mind gross things, but when I'M in the mood for it, and its not stupidly unrealistic. I see someone get blown apart in a movie, and its just, "Ehh," because I'm ready to see things like that, but if I was eating dinner and a commercial came on where someone got blown to lunch meat, that's a different story.

So, I haven't been pleased with any theme songs for shows lately... what ever happened to theme songs like this

so awesome.

I haven't been satisfied with T.V either... Pinky and the brain, and anamaniaks where better then any show I've seen in the past... since they where removed.

Well, Pinky and the Brain was a spin-off of the Animaniacs, and the thing about Animaniacs was, it was meant for all age groups, which made it awesome, I remember in one episode, Dot's pet monster married the creature from the Aliens movies, no kid "should" know what that is, (but I did because I loved those movies), and there were jokes that were meant more for adults (Such as this episode, the Pun for Hire, www.youtube.com/watch?v=_omEwOtNzy4 you'll know the ones.) And the characters that were meant more for adults such as Hello Nurse and, my favorite cartoon character of all time, Minerva Mink www.youtube.com/watch?v=fyoDCtLLXQw

Both of which they thought promoted unrealistic ideals of beauty, and that they were much too mature for children, both of which I disagree with.

Oh, and in the "Pun for Hire," they cut out part of Dot's line, after she says, "We can't," she's also supposed to say, "This is a family show," or something along those lines.

Dude, I've seen them try and use sex to sell paint. A dog soiling the carpet isn't a big deal.

I'd rather see the paint/sex ad than the dog soiling the carpet ad, especially when I'm trying to eat.

I remember Malcolm in the Middle, not a bad show.  I hated some episodes, but liked other episodes.
