ThePointingMan
Shhh, don't tell anyone, but non-conformity doesn't exist anymore, given the number of them. That sure does make them seem like conformists, doesn't it? Spot on, That's exactly why I despise them, or part of why I despise them... Really I don't think it's possible for someone not to be a conformist, it's what we are supposed to do, it's a method of learning, however sometimes we learn to do things that are just stupid. Vindr
For the record:Emos are not self harmers, that's not what being an Emo is about. Emos are fans of Emo music, and part of the emo subculture. Many Emos I know are actually quite happy-go-lucky. They like to mix black with bright neon colors (especially in their hair). They enjoy retro pop culture that's got "Camp" value to it (tacky, but cute/funny). They kinda remind me of Tricky, personality-wise. They like things like roller rinks, silly, funny things...stuff from the past. That's called a Tween or the usual people who listen to alternative music and watch Fred videos. But I think Julius is looking at the physical aspect or the cultural aspect of emos. Someone who wants to fit in to the Emo culture or finds that it appeals to them but was never really emo in the first place is what he's describing. People who are really in touch with emos are usually people who are incredibly out of touch of reality. The mental aspect of emos is what I don't like. I had a emo friend, but he wasn't all 'cut himself,' 'my life is horrid,' 'I'm so misunderstood,' crazy. He was great to hang out with.BUT there are also the whiny little dumbf**ks who really think that their life is the worst anyone has really had. They do write poetry, if they aren't writing 'Insert the author here into the storyline as the main character' Kingdom Hearts fanfiction. My response to these people is that at least you aren't in some 3rd world country, lying under tons of rubble, starving to death. This is why I hate the American culture. We're such idiots. We feed off what we're told and we've never really thought for ourselves, like robots. We never really take a look at our surroundings before making a decision on life. If we don't wear a flag pin, suddenly the masses, including two political parties, ask us if we're: "...Half Talabanieze?"In conclusion:Emos tell everyone this: My life is horrible, everyone hates me.What I say: I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention, I was too busy worrying about the REAL problems other than yours. My Emo friends told me any Emo(s) who behave this way are "...not actually Emo at all, they're just wannabe Emos, who wear Emo clothes, listen to music they presume to be Emo, and try to convince everyone that they're Emo, but as an actual Emo, I tell you that's not true, Julius!" Vindr
For starters, I never said anything about the other cliques, I was talking about emo's in general which is why if someone disses the punk metal heads, I'm going to freak. The fake emos you may talk about are probably the emos that you hang around. The emos I talk about in general are all annoying. I don't speak for all emos, I speak for the annoying ones. And your first mistake in defining cliques is using stereotypes. They're pretty much the same thing in essence, you're only giving the word stereotype a softer, high school name.I also don't understand your bar predicament, how it fits in. You're goth, that's great. Not really necessary. Finally, I don't care for any culture in general. Middle east culture isn't all "Islam radicalist." I know a friend who lived in Saudi Arabia, his father works for the newspaper that's owned by one of the companies. It's actually kind of funny: "Why aren't you praying?" One of those religious police asked him one day at the mall, when they were to do prayer. He's Catholic, so he goes: "Why aren't YOU?" So the guy just takes off.Not really much different here."Why aren't you saying the pledge of allegiance?" "Why aren't you wearing a flag pin?" "Why aren't you reciting the national anthem?"China:"Why aren't you giving thanks to our country?" Or whatever stereotype you give to nationalists.Japanese culture is weird in general, if not, halarious. The guy probably was in grade school or something, it's fashion, come to reality. Possibly a case of the school bullies with a broken family. You possibly think that American culture is the best ever and no-one can beat it. Since I also know you're a patriot, I'll leave it alone for now.
ThePointingMan
If you think American culture sucks, try Japanese culture. We had this Japanese neighbor, who grew up in Japan, he told us, "In Japan, they make fun of you or even beat you up just because your shirtsleeves are considered 'out of style'." I have a pinpal who confirmed this. Middle Eastern Culture...*shudders* I won't even tell you what that's like, I got a buddy who grew up in Iran during the "Ayatollah Asaholla" leadership....the things he told me...Japan? Sucks? I don't think so, their very well off at the moment, because a lot of technology in the entertainment field comes from there, they get technology first, and they make money from it. I think they are pretty big on the having fun.

ThePointingMan
I didn't mean that. No. I never said Japanese culture/society sucks. You're taking what I said out of context. I just meant that Japanese culture can be intense, or unfriendly from time to time.Hahaha, I meant to not send that, well, I meant to send it, but after I fixed it up, I just got distracted, and later on hit send... I had some other stuff that wasn't related to Japan I wanted to say, but I forget now Anyways, you kinda did say that, I QUOTE"You think American culture sucks, try Japanese culture"You are implying that Japan's culture "sucks" more then America's, even if that's not what you meant, that's how ya said it, ahwell. Just remember, anything you say can and will be held against you, aint that how it works when there's to opposing opinions?Vindr, Pointingman, I f*cked up my last posts here, and I'm sorry you both are pissed at me now and hate me, but.... Also, there's no way I'd ever hate you, Heck your the only person I've actually added to my buddy list so far. I mean I'd add more, if people asked, hehe but your the only one who's actually bothered to say, "Imma add you to my buddy list if ya don't mind." an I like that.I think I got a problem with counter posting, I like to counter post, see how far the other person is willing to try and convince me of their opinion, if they succeed, I'm quick to switch over in opinion, but if they haven't I'll keep battling at it until I've been declared victorious, or I have failed. Kinda trollish I guess.sheesh imma post this then see what these 3 new posts where.

I'm very very rarely angry, and I'm never angry when I post something,(as much as it seems I am) I had heard of someone who had no emotions, and for a while, I was very literally scared I was missing an emotion when I was younger, but then I met a certain person in grade 9 er 10 er something. The way I talk is a very angry sounding without tone of voice, I'm not used to typing online, for this is the first forum I've ever frequently visited, I'm used to using voice control when i talk, without that, the way I talk is a very angry way, also I use grammer when I type that makes everything even more confusing. Guest Julius Quasar
I've heard that some Emos are vegetarians, they like to wear converse or vans sneakers, scarves, and they enjoy checkered patterns on clothing. The Emos I've met/talked to, I've seen them in the checkered patterns, with the Vans or Converse shoes and wearing the scarves. As for the vegetarianism, I only knew one Emo who was one....I don't know too much about them, since I ain't one, but I think I've learned about them from just having a few friends who are. Mr. Foxer
The term "emo", seems to have been twisted and separated from its original meaning. One who is "emo" may be described as someone who is suicidal and depressed, yet the original meaning as far as I have read it really just means they are into that type of music (metal etc.) Emo has been associated with a stereotype that includes being particularly emotional, sensitive, shy, introverted, or angst-ridden. It has also been associated with depression, self-injury, and suicide.

Guest DRL
Emos? WTF!? Heck, when this stuff reached my country it was a fashion trend rather than anything. And know what? there they got it the wrong way, as here an "Emo" is someone who is "emotionless" (supossedly they have no happyness/sadness or whatever... but obiously, this statement is false.)I have a few classmates who are in this trend (outside school, of course) and they are completely common guys/gals.So, as far as I understand, it is nothing but a trend... after all, every time you go into a place and you look at these guys, you say: "Hey, look at his/her clothes. She must be an emo."Not that I have anything against it, what I mean is that just because a group of people wear similar clothes does not actually mean they share similar thoughts. And just because they like to wear similar clothes does not means it is bad.|Edit|:The term "emo", seems to have been twisted and separated from its original meaning. Just go to other countries... The clothes may be similar, but the "meaning" differs as much as the colors in a rainbow...
