DZComposer
I am looking into Wacintaki Poteto as the software. I have it installed on a test machine now. It has a decent feature set, and isn't half in Japanese like most of them are.Installation is a little bit of a pain due to a not-so-smart coding choice in the installer (yay for out-of-the-box syntax errors), but it seems to work decently other than that install issue, which is easy to fix. It can't automatically ban adult images, but there is a customizable rules page that I can copy the image policy into, as well as a custom page header feature that can have a big fat "NO ADULT ART" notice in it. Hope(N Forever)
I, as an artist, am most definitely for an Oekaki board. In fact, I tend to encourage any form of community to have one, especially if the community has a wealth of members with rich, visual artistic talents.I am not worried about trolls either. If trolls were something to fear about, then existing Oekaki boards would have failed long before! Besides, it is well-known that many board admins tend to be selective about whom they allow membership. It may sound stingy, but you cannot blame certain boards for having a strict policy about their members having an acceptable level of artistic talent as a MUST! Oekaki registerations usually has a spot where the new registree must post a link to some of his/her art work samples to be accepted as a member of this particular Oekaki board. It would be a shame if people started posting crap entries and do text graffiti alone in their Oekaki entries, let alone post any form of offensive content. Many boards even have strict policies against "quick" doodles, and incomplete entries as well. (Although, many capable admins lately now launch seperate "sketch Oekaki" boards parallel to their main boards as a method for people to do their thing with "quick" doodling, and even practice using the Oekaki's palette system - something which is quite very different from Microsoft Paint's or Photoshop's interfaces!) DZComposer
Anything we do at SFO will be open to all members. Setting arbitrary talent standards is something I will not do.Any oekaki will be kept clean in the same manner we keep the forums clean: Moderation Staff will remove images that violate the rules.
