Cheese is the guy who created the Super FX, right? That must have been an interesting conversation.

Yee-ss.  I believe so.  I also think he died too... D:  I forget.  Some staff member there died.  The guy who did Fox's voice... I can't remember his name.  I'd have to go back into my email and look.

Oh... wait... Dan Olsen?  I think?

Oh hello hoshi nice to see you back in sf-o if you havn't noticed I've also been around  Arwing landing lately,.

Oh I have been around everywhere... No one ever sees me because I read things and don't really post.  I lurk on my own forum a lot.

I'd like framed posters of SF64, Star Fox Adventures, and Star Fox Assault, autographed by all the voice over cast members of those games.

Seems like only good people die :(

"Only the good die young, all the evil seem to live forever."

-ref. from Iron Maidens "Only the good die young".

Hands down, my Star Fox Holy Grail is a cart of Star Fox 2 for SNES (or Famicom, I guess it'd be). I was anxious for a sequel to Star Fox for so long...plus, I don't do the emulator thing, so unless it ever is put on the Virtual Console, which I know is extremely unlikely, I will never get to actually play it :(.

You mean like dis: StarFox 2 NTFS

People in Europe figured out how to flash the emulator ROM into old Super FX cart games like Yoshi's Island and started making labels... But don't be fooled.  This is a hand made cart.  It is NOT official.  They play though.  With our translated ROM versions.

You and me both Rainfyre, I'd LOVE to get my hands on one! I've played the Emulator version, but the Mac emulator won't run the translation patch, so I've had to play the game in Japanese!

You had me excited there for a second Hoshi, but when you said it was a re-flashed Yoshi's Island cartridge, it took the fun out of it, so no thanks. :(

So they finished the game, but didn't translate it before they scrapped the game?

Actually, the game wasn't completely finished, it still needed to go through debug, like one big glitch is that the missiles and fighters attacking Corneria don't do any damage, and you can't go to Corneria's surface. The patch that has been made finished the debug process and did the translations.

I'm sure they make sure games are completely finished before they start localizing it for the different regions, hence why it was never translated.

Fake carts are fake, and if you buy one you are supporting commercial software pirates.

If you want to flash your own, go ahead, but I do not think it is wise to advocate buying bootleg games.

You mean like dis: StarFox 2 NTFS

You mean NTSC? NTFS is a Microsoft Filesystem. :P

So a holy grail of Star Fox is something that has a possibility of existing but may not actually exist?

Well in that case, I think the Lylat System existing about 30,000 light years away in our galaxy should qualify.

We just haven't been able to find them yet, due to our limited technology.

I would be happy to spend my whole life getting to the Lylat system, only share how with you guys, I'd hate to have the rest of this world go there

Well, with our current technology, we could get there in about 670,616,280 years if we left right now.

If we were to send a signal to them right now, it would take 30,000 years for them to get it.

IF it's there.
