Star Fox Mentioned in March 2010 GameInformer.

Okay so I was looking through this month's GameInformer magazine and this article I passed through is called "Missing In Action?" It's basically about game franchises that haven't seen the light of day on the current round of home consoles yet (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii). Some of the franchises mentioned were SSX (I dunno why, they have a game on the Wii) and Star Fox. It mentions the last game that was released (in this case, Command), the recent status of the franchise (including SSB), mentioning the talk of what Shigeru Miyamato said about bringing StarFox back and likelihood of the franchise returning, up to now is average, considering that Nintendo has tried tons of developers, including Rare, Namco, and Q-Games. The article says that maybe Nintendo is trying to find a developer to show that they have a winning plan for series.

Here's a (bad) shot of the article.

GDC is in a month. It's been a while since we've gotten any news from Nintendo. They didn't even have a press conference last fall.

Maybe GDC will bring news. Else we'd have to wait to E3 in June.

I'm not going to hold my breath for Star Fox, but Nintendo has been awfully silent lately. The silence can't last forever.

BTW, Starfox mccloud15, you avatar is broken. Last frame is solid brown. For some reason it annoys the crap out of me.

Hope it's true. Fox looks good on that page :)

Well, it's the last 'good' .gif of Fox on the Assault gameguide and such, so it's going to look 'good' in some cases...

But anyways, they, Nintendo, needs to speed up a little on the franchise...

Though I doubt it will happen, it would be awesome if Nintendo just randomly announces an already near complete Starfox game, I know it won't happen, but it'd just be cool...

Ditto...two dollars gives ya five if it ends up like that whole ordeal like when Metroid never came on the N64.

Personally I see potential of it being on the Wii but if Miyamoto-San thinks its best for Nintendo to have it skip a console generation, so be it. If he or Nintendo can't think of anything it would only mean he'd try to promote it regarding another innovating Nintendo product like they did when they gave birth to the FX chip and the Rumble pak. Even a new console can be another possibility.

Remember it almost took five years when they released Star Fox 64 in the middle of its fourth year gap when it finally reached U.S., this is still the second month of the fourth year. It already got the award for the longest "unannounced", public announcement of a new Star Fox game, least we can do is hold off our insanity for a few more months, after that then it will officially be the longest wait we had to endure for a Star Fox game.

As far as I can see, Starfox is Nintendo's experimental division. With the short WiiParty games, that division has no purpose. But if they do bring it back, they need to get Retro games to do it. They gave the Metroid series new light with The Metroid Prime Trilogy. They conquered multiplayer, great graphics for that time period, and unlockables people want. Their way of thinking is so cool as well.

As long as they don't make another SFC, they're fine...

Well, Retro Studios is working on a secret project right now, you never know, maybe it is Star Fox, if not, Then I can't wait to see what it is.
