Steve
Just now my topic closed cuz Of him! There's an place to put Polls there!Alright, first of all, sabre's topic is going on topic, and there's a chance I'll move this to the normal discussion side of the forum instead of the rec room. Sure, there's a place for polls, but this topic is also meant to create a discussion so it's not breaking any rules. And finally, I don't see why you get so heated up cause the other topic was closed, this one has the same subject.

Falcory
To me, Valentine's Day is just another reminder that I'm going to die alone and miserable. Eh yo Julius! Chin up man! Things are not as bad as they seem. As Tennyson said: "It's better to have loved and lost than to have never been loved at all."Some of us haven't even found the right girl yet...including me.Things are always gonna look dark man, but where there's darkness there's bound to be a little light somewhere. You just have to look for it....

Vy'drach
Yeah Julius, don't be so pessimistic, I'm 19 and haven't had a serious relationship since I haven't really met anyone that aroused my interest, usually something about their personality, goes along the lines of being bitchy, or easy, doesn't raise any flags, among other things, as a potential Mrs. Robinson. And about Valentine's day being about sex, connected with not finding anyone that's really my type, I'm a virgin, and all February 14th means to me is that its my great uncle's birthday. I've heard you talk about ex's there Julius, you're already closer along the way to getting married than I am.

I could really care less. That's my problem. You can't forget about it without going into issolation. It's on TV, the internet and in every street. You can't even hang out with friends because they have to be doing something for the holiday. You can accidently miss Pirate day or Halloween (the latter is underneath christmas somewhere) because no one talks about it. The buy stuff holidays though are forced down your throat. Valentines, Easter and Christmas are the big ones, and they destroy every holiday between them.
Kursed
I like the roots of it, but hate the commercialization that it is now, most people don't even know what its about.ditto.

Last year trick 'r treating was a shame, the streets where so bare, hardly anyone...Anyways, really I continuously forget about Valentines day, none of my friends are into Valentines day, I don't really get reminded of it that often, I think the only time I'm really reminded of Valentines day is when i go onto this site, and see a topic with Valentines day in it, other then that, I just forget about it. Sabre
FA recently put up a banner for chinese new year, and jokingly said that people should throw fireworks at those "emos" who don't like valentines day. >:(
Steve
To hell with this day, seriously , going out is like mission impossible, there's too many valentines day vendors out, it's like trying to get through a thin door while being a sumo man. Mid terms make this day even better /sarcasm.
Sabre
The day has only been gone 10 minutes, and already people are gushing about how great it was. One of my friends I want to turn upside down and pee up his nostrils for how predictable this bloody cycle is. I look forward to the tiff, make up, and dumpping followed by weeks of crying and having to put up with it despite making it perfectly clear I don't care about his love life. Vy'drach
He he, I had a rather uneventful Valentine's day, went to the shooting range, fired off a bunch of shots out of our rifles, got Arby's on the way home, and fell asleep. Like I've said (I believe I have anyway), Valentine's day can be just another day to me, doesn't bug me that I don't have a girl on it.
