StarFox - The Animated Series

It's alright, man, don't worry about it. And regardless of whether you crossed that bit out at the end or not, you're more than welcome to try out some different voices once I post the requests for the ones I need (when I find out which voices those are).

I'm glad you took the time to go check out some of the storyboards and clips I uploaded to the site. I'm trying to go for this whole retro 'saturday morning cartoon' feel to it, with the filters and color hues you were talking about, so that it doesn't just look like some crappy flash cartoon with no 'grit' to it. I'll try and have some more stuff on there sooner or later. We've been getting ready to move into our new apartment here in the next few weeks, and between that and work, it's going to really cut into the time I have left over for animating the rest of this first episode.

But yeah, what you were saying earlier.. it doesn't sound like you're the type that needs to worry about the 'adult' or 'mature' humor that's going into this animated Star Fox thing. It's not going to be a bunch of dick and fart jokes; as I myself do find the occasional bit of that stuff to be funny, it's not something I'd want to really mix in with Star Fox, so if that's what you were referring to the other day, I understand and 110% agree with you on that.

Glad to hear another one was "converted". Personally, I feel this take on the franchise is really refreshing, and just what the fandom needs while we sit and twiddle our thumbs, waiting for the next SF game.

I fully agree, now that the excitation has passed, I can give a clearer point of view.

I personally think that it is of incredibly good taste to come back to this 80-90' style. After all, the very first StarFox related artistic creation was that Comics in 1992, and it was quite this kind of thing. The licence was supposed to look like that comics at first, and I've been disappointed year after year to see that the series was growing more and more cartoon-ish. To me this is a clear return to the roots.

Like I said, you gave me Venture Brothers, not Family Guy, which I was fearing. The concept of making Starfox "mature" in and of itself is NOT original. I have seen everything from grimdark edginess to the afforementioned Family Guy treatment, and I have not bee pleased.

Also, speaking of the comics, you basically made Fox his 1992 comic self, what with being a smartass and all, and I approve.

I also avoided this until Rob, out of nowhere, sends me steam messages telling me how impressed he was.

I follow him in my opinion of it. It's something that SOUNDS stupid and honestly is, but it still works and did exactly as it was supposed to, make me laugh.

Then you can both be thankful this isn't Super Mario Bros. The Movie.

^Open the door, get on the floor everybody walk the dinosaur! Love that song.

Man, that movie sucked but I thought it was hot sh*t back in the day along with that Street Fighter movie. (Man, I was a stupid kid)

Ahem, hey Fredryk. Been lurking before coming back here and I have to admit. I'm loving where this is going. Hopefully your pilot episode will be here in a matter of weeks! Can't wait! This is gold! That one clip with that lizard assassin had me in stitches the first time I watched it.

I started animating another scene similar to the one I finished with Star Wolf in it today, and my tablet just farking died on me.

I'm either going to have to try and take it apart and fix it, or buy a new one eventually.

What a day.

Ewww, I feel like people always get problems when I start being intersted in their projects...

That's too bad. Hope you can fix it.

Oh, forgot to mention, the other night, Ant and I took my intuos apart and rewired it, and it works fine now, just with a bunch of electrical tape all over the back. No problem anymore, thank Christ.

I'm starting to think why should I have thought about starting a series myself. I didn't have nearly as much time as Fredryk does.

Anyway, it's shaping up. That episode with James and Vixy looked interesting. I wonder when a full product will be finished (unless it already has. I'll take a look.)

Yes. This means I have a better sense of humor. So humor me. (lol.)

Okay. I've really been toying with some ideas revolving around this "StarFox character," still debating whether or not this certain "StarFox character" should be included, because I don't want to put this certain "StarFox character" in the cartoon unless the character in question doesn't totally dork up the story.

What do you think?

It looks cool! It fits in with the way the other characters are drawn, and looks like a bounty hunter. You should definitely put it in! :D

Its a cool design, but wtf would Krystal be doing in a prequel story? :|

That is perfecto!

I do not really think she is going

to dork the story. So far Fred, you

have been doing an AWEGrEaT job,

so I guess it will not harm the story.

The first episode is the only one that takes place before the Andross invasion.

Ah. Well darn, here I thought the whole series was gonna be some sort of INSANE Starfox-meets-Grease deal. Or something.

So when are the other episodes set?

Aw Fred, you were doing so well up till this point, but you just had to show krystal didn't you?

Well anyway go ahead and put her in if you want, least now with krystal in there the number of views you would probably get in episodes will now double.

She reminds me of the sniper in that picture for some reason

Seems to be a post 64 but pre SFA setting, or a JUST after SFA setting. I think.
