Being a total newbie when it comes to animation, I've always wondered: Do you have to draw every single picture you're using for the animation? How does it works? (magnets?)

Nowadays, if it isn't 3d animation, it's either motion tweened, frame by frame, or a mixture of the two. Motion tweening is when you have an object that's only drawn once (like an arm, or a head or something) and the animation program just moves and rotates it around on the screen. You see this all the time in most flash cartoons, as it saves time having to draw a bunch of stuff.

I'm using as few of those motion tweens in my project as possible, if it isn't for making a looping animation scroll across the screen or something, chances are I'm doing it frame by frame.

Oh I see now. Thanks for the answer.

But by doing this frame by frame isn't there a high risk to get things you don't want to, modified from a frame to another?

^^^Honestly, do you have any doubts about Fredryk's ability to draw and animate? That's the one thing that people don't understand about serious artists, they have so much patience and take the time to make everything perfect....or as perfect as possible. (though, I'm not an artist...haha...I suck.... )

I'm not doubting him, I'm just asking things that always intrigued me.

Well in general, when people have a special talent, it is important to know what there limitations are and whatnot. If Fredryk feels comfortable with going through the extra work, (as risky as it may be) then by all means, no one is stopping him. Plus, if you go to his "SF animated series" site and watch the teaser clip that was supposed to be a preview, you can see that his work is very smooth and as far as I can tell, definantly can be put up there with some of the best animations among sites, like newgrounds as an example.
