Early plot summary: Two years after the Andross Conflict, Fox cuts himself off from society, having burnt out from all the fame and attention. Eight more years pass, and one day during a very-Fox-oriented TV talk show interview, Falco leaves the set prematurely and decides to hunt Fox down to see what he's been up to.

The two catch up after eight long years, before Falco convinces Fox to come back to civilization and see his old friends.

That's f'ing beautiful. Do you shoot the background photos yourself or do you just get them off google images, and 'shop them if necessary?

Sometimes I take different pieces of photos, like buildings or treelines, and mix them together with others like a collage, add a watercolor effect and whatnot. My friend Olivia (myu) is going to help with the drawing of some backdrops, and helping design the inside of the Great Fox, sleeping quarters, control rooms, etc. I want to have an actual solid "set" that the Star Fox team works and lives in.

ALSO I'm going to be doing some livestream doodling for cartoon stuff today.

Fred, I'm amazed by how much better you've become at drawing since you started your project. I was looking at the comparison image you did between December 2009 and now. In 2009, your characters proportions were off, they were really cartoony, they were very lanky and, I apologize if this comes off as rude but, they looked rather sickly too.

But now, your characters have a lot more life to them. They look so real, they've got a lot more character. Your proportions are damn good. Your lines look a lot more even now, and ghskjahgas you're really good at displaying the character's emotion in your images.

I MEAN JUST LOOK AT THIS. LOOK AT FALCO'S FACE. The emotion in it! You can tell how much he misses his buddy. AND FOX. He just looks so tired. Like he's been through a lot of stress and depression.

And if your artwork wasn't perfect enough, this is all going to be ANIMATED. Fred, you're beautiful. This is beautiful. I'm so glad to have been able to experience your growth as an artist. Thank you for sharing this. You're doing a fantastic job!!

It was somewhere around October 1st, 2012 when I decided to no longer
use the Line (Pencil) Tool for the line art in my cartoon. I don't know
why I didn't make the change before; maybe I was just afraid that it
would be "harder to do." The art seems boring when every line segment is
the exact same width, and honestly looks too "Flash-y." Either way, I
think things look a lot better now.

Load the full size image to really see the difference.

And yeah, the main reason there hasn't been much uploaded is because over the past three years, I've actually gotten to where I can look at my versions of the characters and be happy with them. I'm so, so glad I didn't start animating this back then. It would've been horrible.

The style of your art has become better and better all the time...
You are a symbol of artistic idealism, you have a goal and you want to reach it as best as possible.
Keep it up Fredryk (Matt).
Your work is always an inspiration to us.
Cheers

Wrong game sir. It should be the title screen music from SF1 in your head right now. ;)

A little demo of how the Arwings are going to look after being animated.

The cheesy retro 3D effects kind of work, considering the cartoon's more heavily themed around the first game.

It will be done when it is done.  Judging from the entirety of this thread, the wait will be worth it. :P
