This thread is merely for speculating on how relations between Earth and the Lylat System would go and what would come from it.

Oh, that would work wonders for relations! [/sarcasm]

Corneria would use a planet killer on us if they found out about where their missing people went...

Well, maybe they wouldn't *have* one, but I'm sure they would have the technology to produce one.

But that's another story.

I really love fanfics that feature that plot for some reason. Like this huge war (which planets are practically famous for) breaks out lol.

Yay for epic wars!  I like epic wars.  They're seizure-inducing if you stare at the flashing lasers for too long, though.

In the case of Earth versus Corneria, it would be an epic one-sided war.

Corneria:  10,000 space warships

VERSUS

Earth:  One space shuttle.

Oh wait, never mind.  Launch was postponed due to a low cloud ceiling over Cape Canaveral, FL.

Guess the war will have to happen next week.

Hmm, after contemplating this in the shower, I think Corneria would find Earth before Earth would find Corneria.

Just a guess.

Well seeing as the Cornerian Army can't defend their own planet for s***, so they hire a  mercenary team to do it for them, Earth would win.

Well, this thread was intended to be a more peaceful, diplomatic counterpart to the war thread.

I'm sure there must be other ways for them to interact than merely blowing each other up.

Well, in that case I guess we would get along just nicely. Given that we are surprisingly similar to each other.

I think trade would depend on the circumstances of discovery.  Allow me to explain.

Scenario 1:  (Present)

Corneria finds life on Earth and sends ships there to contact it.  If there *is* other life in the universe, this could happen any second.

Our technology would be similar to what it is right now, and theirs would likely be much more advanced.  While the planets can be on good terms with each other, I'm not sure what Earth could give Corneria in order to receive technology that reaches well beyond what is currently possible.

Scenario 2:  (Future)

Earth finds life on Corneria and sends ships there to contact it.  If this were the case, Earth would be much more advanced than it is now, and it may even rival Corneria's technology rate (Since eventually technological discovery reaches a limit due to the laws of physics).  With more balanced tech, more balanced trade would be possible.

Take all that with a grain of salt.  Or maybe a whole salt shaker of salt.

Yeah!, I offer myself to go in the name of the Union!, I would be a hero!... *Wait*. If in the SU, things work the etisoppo way, then I am going to be a national enemy! O_o .

In any case, I offer myself to be an ambassador. I would love to go there (even if I am not an ambassador), mainly because I would love pretty much everything there. The planet. The environment. The city. The ships. ...And of course, the vixens!

The humans would think that the Cornerians are too weird-looking, and the Cornerians would think that the humans are too plain-looking.
