Krystal, IN STARWOLF!?

(Of course we missed you fella! *Grabs Showtime and rubs head with my knuckles.*

We'll just progress nice and slowly while you're away. Don't worry about taking a break, it happens to everyone sooner or later. It did to me as well some time ago.)

:wolf:

The group found themself slowly moving trough the dark corridors again. Much more on guard now, well knowing there were guaranteed several anglars still around somewhere.

There was a thing which niggled Wolf, but he didn't say it out loud to the others, and keept it away from Krystals toughts as well.

The submarine bay was far, far under the sea surface, and the locking-system meant to keep the whole Venomian sea from flooding into the complex was probably in a pretty poor state. He just hoped they would be able to figure out something before they ran out of time, and Freya was lost forever.

(We're just glad you're alright, showtime 1-1, and I hope to see you back soon.  I feel the same way about the Starfox, TNG Roleplay thread (creativity block and fatigue), that's why I'm taking a break from it)

:panther:

Panther hoped his plan would work.  He was concerned with rescuing Freya, above all else, then he would get the book, and get out of there...maybe cause the Anglar some serious damage on the way out as payback.

"So wolf what are we going to do?" KRystal asked.

:panther: "I'm going, er, that is to say we're going, into the Anglar's very headquarters, in one of Andross' submarines, and I will disguise myself as Andross, using a hologram disguise.  You and Wolf will hide in the sub, and sneak out when the coast is clear, and find and Rescue Freya, whilst I find and snag that book."

Panther explained to Krystal.

Wolf threw Panther a side look. The "I'm going" might just have been a slip of the tongue. But one never knew, and Wolf certainly didn't fancy another carefully laid plan get ruined because someone opted to disobey orders.

"That's pretty much it." Wolf mumbled. They had been going trough the darkness for another 20 minutes or so, and the worries for his daughter most certainly hadn't died out. To make matters worse, his mechanical eye was flickering a little, having taken a hefty beating during the fight down in Andross's lab. The night vision still worked, but the image sometimes dropped out for a split second before coming back in again. Having again getting used to having two eyes after the Lylat war, this could potentially make a mess of his aim in a critical moment.

They approached the subway dock/hangar.

"Ahh, here we are..." said Panther, seeing a submarine parked at the dock.  The submarine was surprising still in pretty good shape, seeing as how it had sat there, undisturbed, for a long time.

(A spacecraft should work equally underwater I think.)

(Absolutely not! There's a reason Fox used the Blue Marine in SF64.)

(actually with the tech they have it would probalby work a shuttle can work in    shallow water. (This problem would easily be solved by the g-diffuser)(Aqua's on  Command ffor instance)

"You sure this thing Is going to work Wolf?" Krystal asked coming back with her space suit in her hands.

(I do have my doubts. High tech equipment never works outside the environment it was specifically designed for. It would in any case be quite useless, since the weapon systems probably wouldn't work, and without an airlock, you would be trapped in it as long as you're underwater. Sure you don't want to come with us in the sub?)

(uhh I edited my post asper ) (You may be right about the weapons but I think everythign esle would work besides the hatch. truely it depends on the engine and i'm pretty sur the g-diffuser would still work underwater.(

A good example of this is a mech from mech warrior the fusion engine will work underwater as well as in the vacume of space and in a atmopshere however the jump jets will need some mercury for a reaction while in a vacum._)

(Okay, I'm not getting any wiser of this. Let us take this step by step.

A. Is Krystal going in her fighter or with the others in the submarine?

B. The space suit she mentioned 5 posts above, where did she get that, and what does it look like?)

(It's a couple of hours back to the surface. I've planned for a few deep-water suits to be in the sub, so you should be able to use one of those.)

(Okay, time to get moving again.)

:wolf:

The sub... was a piece of junk honestly. Like most Venom equipment during the war, it has been built with one quality foremost in mind, cheapness. While some of it had turned out to be quite rugged to their simplicity, this craft had obviously seen better days.

It was about 30 feet in length, shaped like a long tube with hemispheres in both ends, the one in front having a large, round piece of thick glass in it. There was two twistable propellers on both sides, surrounded by shrouds to protect them from getting entangled in seawood or driftnets. With no regards to hydrodynamics, a large airlock was chucked onto the right side of it, and a small escape hatch could be spotted on top of it. The cheap, yellow paintjob had flaked of in multiple spots, and rust had taken its place, making the sub look like it had a foul disease of some kind.

Wolf caught himself humming the melody of the famous "We all live in a yellow submarine" as he excamined the controls of the crane holding the sub in the air, and those who would lock the door behind them, and open the one under the sub, out into the ocean. It was dirty, and looked like shit, but it did seem to be in working condition.

Krystal doned her space suit putting on the helmet the digital  Hud came online "I'm really having doubts about this why don't we just modify our fighters?"Krystal asked.

:wolf:

"Because, that'll take all day." Wolf grunted as he started to load a few deep-water presssure suits he had found lying around into the submarine. "I do really hope that door," He said, nodding towards the huge, watertight door they had previously come trough. "Will be able to hold the water back. If not, all of the Venomian sea will come down here as soon as we open the hatches below the submarine."

"Talk about your pieces of crap..." Panther chuckled.  Then he got serious "It's all we got, though...and hopefully all we need to win this fight." he said as he activated his Andross hologram disguise.  He then joined the others aboard the sub.
