Starzone: Liberation

"Alright, good enough.  Keep your whitts about yourselves.  Let's move."  Marcus insisted and placed his rifle onto his shoulder as he pressed on.

Up on top of the building, Sniper 01 placed his hand to the side of his helmet, "Sniper 01 to Colonel Radic:  Come in."

"This is I.  Go on." The Colonel's voice responded back almost immediately.

"Those troops Miss Luger mentioned is right outside.  Permission to engage on sighted targets."

"You have the go, Sniper."

"Oh, and Sniper, take Krystal out for me.  She's a pain in the neck..."  Regul chimed in.

krystal's ears poked upward and her pupil's dilated "Get down!" she said activating her cloaking devise dissapearing from sight.

Todd dropped to the ground immediately.

They're here all right....

he thought, trying to remember the snipers' exact positions.

"Gotcha..."  Sniper 01 grinned and fired the round; it heading straight for Krystal's head but sunk, due to the planet's gravity, and pierced through her shields onto her right calve.  "Dammit!!!  Curse those Laws of Physics...!"

Now soon than Sniper 01 rang his shot out, the rest of the snipers released theirs and four Vektran soldiers immediately slammed hard to the ground with blood spraying in the wind and splattered onto their visors.  "ENGAAAAAAGE!!!!!" A loud Hellfurion voice echoed throughout the city like that of a warrior's roar.  Then, all hell broke loose as shots were raining down from all directions, Vektran soldiers dropping left and right as the rest of the unit tried to head for cover.

"GET THE F*** DOWN, NOOOWWW!!!"  Marcus yelled as he darted off behind a wall.  "TODD!!!  KRYSTAL!!!  PARA!!!  TRY TO FIND THOSE TARGETS!!!"

While the fight insued, Colonel Radic and Regul remained seated in a heavy transport as it made it's way down a hidden path within the city.  "So, where exactly is this trap going to be set?"  he chimed in, getting Regul's attention.  "I'm eagerly curious to see how the results will turn out."

Regul banged on the side of the transport and a voice spoke, "TWO MORE MINUTES!!!"

"Theres your answer."  Regul said and Colonel Radic only nodded.

Krystal growled .  the bullet had pierced her sheilds ,but that had taken most of the kinetic energy out of it  so it mearly fell to the ground after gently pushing against her calf. "I've had it!" she growled grabbing something from her belt she activated it and slamed it into the ground.  soon a Phase  Prism Seemed to materilizein the air it headed to the ground near Krystal then peice of it started folding piece of sophicsticated metal folding to make a new shape. soon  odd alien warriors 3 meters tall each known as Protoss Zealots seemed to warp in around Krystal each sporting two blades of their own psionic energy and each possesing  the same Shield as krystal.

KRystal  quickly  gave the Zealots orders while increasing the strength of her sheilds.

Soon the team of 5 Zealots and Krystal were heading towards sniper01 their bodies no longer looked normal as they sped towards him. Krystal had her psionic sword on and ready, the facless Zealots depise only having visable eyes looked very fierce as they dashed behind the blue Vixen towards him.

(Please edit this, Kursed.  It just doesn't follow the Killzone theme just right.  Axe out the Zealot, Phase Prism, other stuff like that.  The shielding and protection is fine.)

Krystal growled .  the bullet had pierced her shields ,but that had taken most of the kinetic energy out of it  so it merely fell to the ground after gently pushing against her calft temporarly deactivating her cloak making her visible for 2 seconds "I've had it!" she growled grabbing something from her belt she activated it and slammed it into the ground  a sheild formed around the  object protecting her and anyone that entered the domed shield any infantry could enter or exit the shield ,but all weapons fire would bounce off or explode outside leaving Krystal pretty much immune to any external attacks. (Think the halo3 trailer where the cheif hides in that barrer.)She crouched down getting into a position that a track runner would be in at the begining of a race  slowly counting down the time to when the shield would cut out adjusting her sheilds power to add a little more strenth to it  as the devise she threw to the ground began to loose it's  stored power Krystal grabbed her sword

Marcus dove into the domed shield, unloading a clip from his rifle, checking the ammo a placing it back into his rifle, then cocking it.  He clicking on his eyepatch and it ran several schimatics of the area as his eyes wandered about.  "I'm only reading seven elite snipers, thirty spec-ops troops, four heavy troops, and about fifty assault infantry.  I cannot pinpoint their exact locations, but we'll have to fire whenever we get a clear shot!"

Para remained hunched over, baring his teeth at a wound that was on his right chest cavity and shook the pain off; spitting blood to the side.  He stepped into the shield briefly to reload his rifle and stepped back outside, sitting right behind the shield as he fired around it at the buildings shooting rounds at the unit.

Soldiers were falling left and right while the injured were shot instantly as they were reaching out to the medics.  One medic was two feet from a soldier when a sniper shot the wounded soldier in the head; it exploding in the bullet's direction and blood covering the area and splattering on the medic's outfit.  He then quickly darted back to the unit but was struck by a high-caliber sniper round through the left chest cavity.  He slammed to the ground, sliding a bit, grabbing it instantly and yelling in agony.

Todd took one of his grenades, pulled the pin, cooked it, and threw it in the direction that a sniper's round had shot out from.

*BOOM*

"YYYYEEEEEEOOOOOOWWWWWW!"

a sniper was hit, and killed by the blast.

"One sniper down, six to go..." Todd commented.

(I've never joined an RP here, so I'm not sure if I should just jump in or what. Usually I'd introduce my characters but that would seem a little disruptive right in the middle of a fight scene.)

(BTW my characters are StarBear. Also it would help if someone could give me an angle, it doesn't matter which side they end up on because there mercenaries.)

"NICE JOB, TODD!!!"  Marcus yelled over the gunfire and the shield dropped.  "Dam-MIIITT!!!"  He quickly darted back to the alleyway and blind-fired around the corner up at the buildings.

Para threw up a deployable cover shield that was about five feet tall, and three feet wide; suitable for one person only.  "I sure hope this will survive long enough for me to pinpoint where the snipers and infantry are."  He murmured under his breath as he knelt behind it.

As Vektran soldier after Vektran soldier fell, there were only ten left and they ran as fast as they could into separate alleyways; one behing struck in the knee by an infantry rifle round.  He yelled briefly before slamming his back to the wall, knee bent slightly outward, and cringing to the pain.

Soon, the transport stopped and the back doors opened.  Colonel Radic and Regul both stepped out, Radic with his hands behind his back, and Regul following close behind.  "Well, this looks suitable enough..."  She mumbled and Colonel Radic only remained still for a few moments.

"If this is not the right place for your 'ambush' then step back into the transport and we will find another."

"Oh, no, its fine!  This is JUST right!!  All we need are a few energy barriers to set up and some decoys."  She quickly said and knelt down, picking up a handfull of sand, then it rolling down the side of her hand and inbetween her fingers.

"'Decoys' meaning...?"  He asked, looking down at her.

"'Decoys', as in Hellfurion or Helghast troops disguised as Vektran--"  Colonel Radic stomped his foot and quickly pulled his pistol out; it pressed to the side of her head.

"If you HONESTLY belief that I will allow MY troops to disguise themselves as Vektran troops..."  his pistol cocked, "Then you're sorlly mistaken...!"

Regul responded, with hands risen, "Ok, ok, FINE!!!  How do you suppose we can fooled them into stepping into the barrier traps?"  Colonel Radic lowered his pistol, holstering it, and placed his hands behind is back. 

"Simple:  Get a few Vektran uniforms, fill them with sand, tie the openings up, place whatever we need onto them, and hide until the time being."  Radic inquired, confidently.

"You DO know that they will suspect something is up, right?"  Radic slowly looked down at her.  "What if we place a few of your men out as guards, so it looks like they have been taken prisoner?"

"And have the decoys knelt over."  Radic added on.

Regul nodded, "Precisely!"  Radic turned and walked back to the transport, motioning to his men before turning to Regul. 

"Well, shall we begin?"

as soon as the sheild was off Krystal was off lock a rocket using her staff boost to propel her forward. using her staff she pole vaulted onto the roff landing behind a sniper she wasted no time kickignhim off the edge, then ducking behind cover.

"NICE JOB, TODD!!!"  Marcus yelled over the gunfire and the shield dropped.  "Dam-MIIITT!!!"  He quickly darted back to the alleyway and blind-fired around the corner up at the buildings.

"THANKS, MARCUS!" Todd replied, shouting as he ran...

Todd had made his way to the sniper's nest, where he had thrown the grenade.  He found the sniper's rifle, still intact, and some extra ammo.  He took up a different  position, in the upper floor of an old cathedral/church, at the corner of 2 streets.

(Todd's hiding place is like the good guys' church hideout in the Tim Burton movie "9")

He scanned the area, and saw a sniper in the upstairs window of a book depository.

He took aim, and fired...

The sniper Todd fired at ducked behind cover and activated his cloak; darting back into another spot.

Soon, only eight men were left and the unit was pinned down.  "WIDOW:  REQUESTING FOR THOSE SHELLS AGAIN!!!"  Marcus yelled over the gunfire.  "WE'RE GETTING THE S*** KICKED OUT OF US OUT HERE!!!"  No response came and the gunship from earlier was zooming but a thunderous explosion echoed throughout the city.  The gunship roared across the sky in a fireball, trailing coal-colored smoke, then two heavily armed drones zipped over the battlefield and trailed the gunned gunship.

Marcus, Para, and the unit could only pause in disbelief as the gunship was tooken out in it's passby.

Krystal tapped her com.. "Marcus you okay with a Glassing of the area?"KRystal shouted over the  noise.

"Damn!" Todd realized he missed the sniper, and that sniper

had either moved, activate his cloak, or both.

Todd moved his position as well. 

He hid safely behind the wrecked fuselage of a tank.

Marcus placed his hand over his mike, "NO, I am NOT ok with a glassing of the area!!!"  His voice an angry and disconfirming one.  "Wait until we are clear of the area before calling one!!"

Soon, Colonel Radic and Regul were finished with the trap and walked calmly away.  Looking down the hill at the fighting insuing in the city, Regul sneered at her accomplishment.  "Fools...!"  She silently snickered, "So gulible about everything I told them!  Even I lied about being part of the Vektran Army and about where the Hellfurions were to attack...  Just plain dumb...!!!"  Colonel Radic turned to the side briefly; head slightly away and his hand placed onto the side of his helmet, nodding slowly.

"Affirmative.  Abbandon your post and report to my location, IMMEDIATELY.  I will not hesitate to repeat it!"  He looked over his shoulder and and turned towards the scene of the city from the hill with his hands behind his back.  "It seems your little 'friends' are being held down quite remarkebly by my men."  He looked down at Regul, "My opinion of you has changed;  I'm impressed."

Regul grinned, "Well, if theres pay on the stake, then I'm all up for it, Colonel."  She turned back to the scene with her head cocked, folded her arms, and leaned on one leg, "I just want to see them bleed and suffer for starting this pointless war.  It will satisfy my inner desires to see them perish..."  Colonel Radic never responded, but stared robotically at the faint gunfire and explosions errupting from the city.

"OF COURSE STUPID I"M NOT GOING TO GLASS YOU!" KRystal shouted over the sounds of the battle as she  kicked down one of the Hellfurion snipers.

Todd aimed his sniper rifle, but then realized it was just a shadow in the upper floor of the hospital.

Suddenly, a sniper bullet zoomed towards him, hitting the wreckage of tank. "S***!" Todd took cover.  He then tried to pinpoint the sniper's location.

"WHATEVER, I'M NOT TAKING THE RISK!!!"  Marcus finally yelled to Krystal over the mike, then turned off the comm link.  "Glassing is no good...  What other--  TODD, BEHIND YOU!!!"  Marcus yelled, seeing a Helghast soldier appear from around the destroyed tank and was rearing the budd of his rifle, about to strike him.

Para pressed a few commands on his arm communicator and a solid blue ball the size of a baseball flashed in front of him and landed in his hand.  He peered around the corner, "CEASE FIRE!!!"  The gunshots from the Vektran side halted and Para tossed the ball down the road, rolling a ways before stopping in the middle of the street and exploding into a massive blue smoke cloud.  "MOOOOVVVEE!!!  RUNNN!!!"  Para yelled from amidst the cloud and began sprinting with Marcus a few steps behind him.

"Just run...  I'll explain later."  Para replied; his tone neutral.  Soon, the unit had sprinted through the cloud and began running up the path that would lead them to the trap Colonel Radic and Regul had orchestrated.  "Make sure to request for a pick since the rendezvous point is up on top of that hill."  Para chimed in without exhaustion in his voice.  On his visor, it showed a circle upon the hill with the words 'RENDEZVOUS POINT RECEIVED' flashed next to it in medium-sized letters.
