Starzone: Liberation

Todd had followed the group, taken cover in the wreckage of an ISA tank in a nearby alleyway, came out of his hiding place after the patrols had passed, and saw a secret door open up in a dumpster.  That fox motioned for the others to come in, and Todd followed.

"Thanks, Josh...we appreciate this..." he said.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"Just tell us, exactly, what you want from us, 'Josh'."  Para added on, looking at him through the group

(Keep it up, guys!  We're almost through!!!)

"I'm the leader of a small band of Rebels I know your intentions to kill the scholar I can get you to a secret entrance that will bypass the walls."Josh explained.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"Well, lead on, Josh."  Marcus insisted as he nodded to the group.

Para nodded as well and rested his rifle on his shoulder.

[Kursed]

Josh led the way through many woundedd rebals to the secret entrance beyond the wall.

As the group followed Josh, Marcus' mind suddenly went blank as he seemed as though he were guided by an unseen force, and was soon upon the entrance beyond the wall.

Para watched, and sensed, Marcus' sudden change in emotions and watched him closely as Marcus got to the entrance.  Krystal, if you can hear me, keep an eye on Marcus; he seems too eager and a little unstable.  He thought to Krystal while his sights remained on Marcus.

[Kursed]

Para watched, and sensed, Marcus' sudden change in emotions and watched him closely as Marcus got to the entrance.  Krystal, if you can hear me, keep an eye on Marcus; he seems too eager and a little unstable.  He thought to Krystal while his sights remained on Marcus.

'And what do you want me to do about it?

Para glared over at Krystal, Absolutely nothing...  He's my concern...  He then looked back to Marcus as he proceeded through the entrance.  He held his rifle still over his arm as he stepped through the entrance and his eyes wandered from side to side -- examining the new environment.

Marcus kept a close eye on everything around him as he waited until the group walked in.  "Thanks, Josh," Marcus said, nodding to him.  "I suppose we'll take it from here."

In his throne room, Scholar Razari remained seated in his chair as he stared out the large window, tapping his finger on the arm rest and resting his cheek on his hand, which was propped up on the other arm-rest.  Soon, a sergeant stormed through the large doors and stopped down on the lower level -- saluting as he stood.

"SIR!"  he began, "Five enemies have infiltrated the tower!  What are your orders, sir?!?"

Razari made no reaction as he sat tapping on the arm-rest.  "Open the doors,"  he ordered, "And let them through."

"B-but...  Buh- but, sir--"

"SILENCE!!!"  His voice echoing throughout the room.  "I know what their intentions are!  Don't question my athourities...  Open.  The doors.  We will lay in a trap as they progress to my throne room."  Razari rose from his chair and stepped once more to the large window showing the city down below.  "I have lived many lives to see this city rise up again from it's ruins.  I will see it ONCE MORE rise again.  But from not of this land; but from another place."  He then looked down at his boots.  "My time is nearing, sergeant.  If our army cannot hold off the men rallying to my position, then I may as well diserve my life to be ended..."

The sergeant saluted firmly once more, then stormed back out of the room.  Razari remained standing with his hands behind his back, head hung over as he let the moment set in.  Sighing to himself, he slowly walked back to his chair, sat in it, but placing his hands onto the arm-rests, and gripping them tightly.  "My time...  Is coming...  Very soon.  Very....  VERY soon..."

[Kursed]

"so Why did you tell me in the first place? Krystal asked as the group continued.

"Marcus you alright?" Lupe asked.

Todd hoped they could trust Josh.  But after being led through the

groups of wounded rebels, he decided he could trust Josh.

Marcus soon came to a latch that led to the inside of the tower, but on the very first level.  He unlocked the latch, then pushed it open as he climbed through and held his hand out to anyone climbing up after him.  Marcus, however, never heard nor answered Lupe's question.

Para climbed up next with the help of Marcus, and he too held his hand out for anyone coming up after himself.  "Marcus,"  he began, "Are you sure you are ok with this?"

Marcus bewilderedly glanced over at him, then returned his focus down at the latch.  "Well, yeah.  Why would you say that?"

"To be honest, you have been a little timid about all of the actions you have ordered us to do.  Secondly, I sense tense emotions are clouding much of what you are doing.  And lastly, I sense something horribly wrong is going to happen."  He then looked up firmly to Marcus.  "Mainly pointing to you."

Marcus only remained staring down at the latch as he waited for everyone else to climb up.  He rose to his feet, unholstering his rifle and began walking down the hall.  Para quickly rose to his feet and spun around to Marcus.  "MARCUS!!!"  He called out.  "If you go alone, you will not last even five seconds out there!!!"

"Five seconds is all I need to kill these sons of b****es..."  Marcus turned back around and began to disappear down the hall.  "Carry one with what you're doing."

Para only growled as he crouched back down and began helping people up.

As the General got ready with his men, Scholar Razari rang through his comm, "General.  If you and your men do not survive this outcome.  Then, know that you served me well."

[Kursed]

"MARCUS!"LUpe Cried out for the FOx....

"I'll follow him."Tala said activating her cloak  she began following Marcus as her body became invisible.

Marcus continued on, ignoring Lupe's plead and stopped briefly -- believing he heard someone following him.

Para nodded as Tala disappeared and helped Lupe up.  "Come on.  Lets keep moving."  He then looked back to the direction Marcus was going.  "Hopefully he will submerge with no major injuries..." 

[Kursed]

"Let's hope so."Krystal muttered.

"So where do we go?"Lupe asked nodding in thanks to para.

Todd followed the others.

"Guys?  We'd better be careful....they might have traps in place for us." he said.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"I agree," Para chimed in, agreeing with Todd.  "We will have to be prepared for anything.  If any of you hears a gunshot or a fire fight ensue, then radio in on one another."  Para then grabbed his rifle that was passed up by the fellow rebels down below the latch.  He then handed each of the groupees a rifle they would use in reserve.  "Alright," He said, standing up and pulled lever of his gun back, making a somewhat loud cocking noise, and he looked at the group.  "Let's go."

Marcus turned back around as he walked down the halls and followed where ever his instincts told him -- he headed straight ahead for two minutes, then took the left walkway.  Hall lights illuminated the halls as he walked by and his figure would glow as he passed each one.

[Kursed]

Tala uncloaked behin MArcus "Marcus are you alrigbht?" The white she wolf asked.

KRystal prepared her staff then  put it in the holster on her back before tending to the rifle.

Lupe sighed worrying about marcus as she cocked her rifle.

Para walked to Lupe, tilting his head slighty, and patting her shoulder.  "Is everything alright?"  He asked quietly.

Marcus spun around quickly with his rifle pointed, but noticed Tala instantly and slowly lowered his rifle.  "Why are you following me?"  He irritatingly asked, "Go back with the group!"

[Kursed]

"LUpe is worried sick and your not even listening to any of us."Tala explained "I've been following you for some time now."

"I"m just worried about marcus..."Lupe explained.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"I understand,"  Para said back, then looked down the hall briefly.  "First chance we get, we will go search for him."

"I'm sorry for the way I have been acting for the past few hours, but I'm just sick of this.  I want to end this here and NOW!  If you're willing to stand in my way, then I'll be MORE THAN glad to shoot you out of my way."  Marcus explained and turned back around, walking on down the hall.  "If I die, oh well -- I died for a purpose.  If we lose, then we'll have to leave this place as fast as we can."

[Kursed]

"So you would shoot your former Fiancee if she got in your way think what your saying Marcus we all want to end this ,but we all know it takes time."Tala muttered.

LUpe dropped to her knees. then her face planted into the ground she didn't move just laying there Trembling....

Krystal sighed. "Marcus is going nuts I fear he may jepordize our whole operation.."

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"I fear that his PTSD disease is going above the extreme.  We MUST do something!"  Para said aloud then looked down to Lupe.  "Come on.  We need not dwell on it right now.  Let's worry about that after this is done and over with."

Marcus glared blankly to Tala then turned around and walked on.  "In some instances, yes."  He then looked slightly over his shoulder.  "If it comes too much to the extreme, then it WILL happen.  You're only a damn child -- you know little of what it means to have someone die in your hands and never really come to your senes about it not being your fault!  Post-traumatic-stress-disorder is a b**** to deal with..."  He then glared over his shoulder, finally, to Tala coldly with his dead eye on her.  "Learn from it...!" 

He then turned around and walked on further.  Taking the next right, he came to a ladder and swung his rifle over his shoulder as he began to climb up.

[Kursed]

"Well you know nothing about being the last few of your kind and being Revealed the truth, that you don't belong."Tala growled back walking back towards the Group.

"What can we do?"Krystal asked

Lupe just laid there trembling.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Marcus growled, also, as he climbed further.  "I know it TOO well..."  He then opened a latch and looked around.  The coast was clear and he pulled out his rifle.  Alright.  Time for a little hunting...

"Lupe,"  Para said aloud.  "You must summon your strength and hold that anger until this war is over with!  THEN, you will unleash it upon Marcus!"  Para then glanced over at Krystal, stepping a ways away and motioning for her to the side. 

"I can only guess we should follow Marcus' path since it is the more likely way to sneak in."  He looked down the hall, "Either that,"  He looked back to Krystal, "Or do you have anything in mind?"

[Kursed]

"That seems like the best option..."Krystal noted.

"It's not anger.."Lupe sighed getting up.
