Starzone: Liberation

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para kept firing over the top of the barriers as the rounds were whizzing by him constantly -- some knocking against the tops of the barriers and causing the chips to sting Para's body where ever they landed.  He never flinched as his adrenaline was kicking in and he soon threw a red ball in the middle of the passage and it rolled to a complete stop against a barrier concealed from view.  Para shot back down behind his cover, gripping his rifle vertically to his chest and closed his eyes as he counted the time limit. 

Five...  Four...  Three...  Two...  One...  And no longer than he thought the number one, the bomb popped and red smoke started pouring out of it -- covering the battlefield in a red fog.  Para then lept over his cover and started sprinting forward -- disappearing inside of the red fog.

As the ball blew the red smoke out, the Hellfurions continued firing no matter their visibility and mortars exploded inside of the fog.  Their shouting echoed throughout the battlefield and the men gathering in the horizon soon dispersed and disappeared into their surroundings.

Todd reloaded, and then fired the shotgun mechanism in his rifle, dispatching an enemy soldier who had come too close to his position.

Krystal by now knew where every enemy was despise the smoke and if they had moved she could sense thier position through their unique telepathic scent called a Aura. Slowly standing up she  grabbed her sword in a backhanded position she activated it before risuhing into the  smoke cutting down troops as she passed  by them.

Soon, the guards stationed at the gates were killed an all that remained were the three supply trucks.  Para removed the clip from his rifle, placed it on this belt holder, and walked to one of the trucks while adjusting his rifle behind his back.  He opened the door and hopped in, looking around to see if it was too complicated to start up and go on from there, but it seemed as easy to maintain than any other thing.  He peered out the window and motioned for the group to hop in.  "We can use these to make the trip to the tower a little more quicker than on foot."  He sat back into the truck and started it up -- it's engine rumbling alive and smoke blowing out of the exhaust pipes on top of the truck.  "Grab all the necessities you need and get it -- I will be driving from here on."

The Hellfurions behind cover near the tower were peering their heads over their barriers while gripping their rifles to the side.  There were no more tanks on the passage to the tower, nor were there any at the entrance due to their excessive weight; drones were now at a handfull in numbers and the Hellfurions sent out two for scouting the passage ahead of them.

Snipers were now on higher levels of the tower so gravity from bullets of the enemies down below would hardly reach their positions.  They aimed down towards the passage to make adjustments to their rifles before given the word to fire.

[Kursed]

Krystal jumped into the passenger seat setting her deactivated sword to off a she opened the door to get in.

Soon Tala and Lupe  jumped into the back.

Para looked over the seat to make sure everyone was secured in their seats and adjusted the knob on the floor to 'reverse'.  He place his arm onto the seat and pressed his foot onto the gas -- the truck roared a little as it pushed itself backwards and Para swirled the wheel to make the truck spin around.  He adjusted the knob again to neutral and pushed the gas, swirling the wheel once more and looking around the corner as the truck started to slowly advance down the passage towards the tower. 

"Well,"  He began calmly to Krystal while keeping his attention to the road, "I hope we are all ready for this because I can see that they are staging for their final defensive."  He peered up to the tower and saw the glistening of the scopes from snipers and he leaned back quickly.  "We've got snipers on the higher levels of the tower, so be aware of that."  He looked to Krystal, "Tell the girls and Todd to use the truck as cover; we will not be able to aquire any suitable cover if those snipers are still alive that high in the towers.  They are using the height to their advantages, so sitting behind cover is of no use until they are dead!"  He then adjusted the knob to the next gear as the truck roared down the road.

Krystal told Tala nd Lupe telepathically. "Good thing I got another sheild then."KRystal muttered shutting her eyes.

Tala looked to Todd " Todd there snipers in the towers up high" Tala noted "So don't run to any cover use the truck or the tallest thing you can find."

[Guest Para Astaroth]

As the truck advanced further, the men behind the barriers slowly lowered themselves behind cover.  The snipers watched the trunk closely as it approached.  Soon, Scholar Razari rang through the snipers' comms, "Take them out -- leave no trace of their existence!"  The snipers looked over to one another, nodded, and aimed their rifles down to the truck.  As they lined their shots by aiming slightly in from of the truck, they took a deep breath and fired.

Para drove the truck down the path with ease until he heard a bullet pierce the trucks left front tire, and it swurved to the side -- exposing Krystal to the other sniper's line of fire.  Soon, a bullet pierced the windshield in front of Krystal and Para yelled briefly as he gritted his teeth and tried to regain control of the truck.  Unable to do so, Para shielded himself as the truck skidded on two wheels on his side, then toppled over onto the driver's side of the truck, and it skidded a few yards before stopping about fifty yards from the Hellfurions stationed behind cover.

[Kursed]

The bullet had bounced off Kystal's energy sheild making another hole in the windshield. "Para this isn't good I sense Helffuions close by give me a second to nail down their Aura's"Krystal said= as she quickly unbuckled from the seat she hadn't been knocked out by the crash since she had been pretty much prepared for it  whiplash might  come later though but she had no time to think about that.

Lupe and Tala sooned jumped out of the back of the truck and crawled under it.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para grunted, "Yeah...  Go...  Go do what you got to do!"  He held his chest as he exhaled briefly and panted while staring at his blood stained hand, then placing it quickly back to his bloody chest.  He elbowed the back window, then again, then one final hard bash and the window blew apart.  Para looked back into the back, "Any...  *pant* Anyone injured back there?"  Blood began staining his bandages down his chest, abdomen, and to his left hip.  He shot a glance down at his chest once more and his hand was becoming more darker from the blood gushing from his chest.  I need to stop the bleeding before I can take the round out...  But it HAS to be pretty lodged in my chest for the blood to be flowing so much...  He thought strategically to himself and looked around. 

The window showed a splatter of blood against it, along with the steering wheel and the places around Para splattered with blood.

"Supply truck disabled; enemy hit."  The snipers said in unison and the Hellfurions down below rose up quickly from their cover and began opening fire onto the truck.  Since the truck was well armored, rounds dented it's hull and ricochetted off of the metal parts of it. 

Razari remained sitting in his chair with his fist pressed to his cheek while keeping a neutral expression.  He looked around to Maradic, whom never moved a muscle, but sensed Razari staring at him.  "Is there something wrong, my emporer?"

Razari never replied as he grunted to himself and returned his attention out the large window in front of him.  "The enemies that are progressing onto our beloved tower...  Have arrived."  He looked down to his feet.  "My men were not prepared for their arrival due to their beliefs about killing them while they were inside the armored transports passing by our capital's gates."  He looked around to Maradic, "I hope you are more prepared than they were; I pray you will impress me, Maradic."

"I shall, my emporer,"  He aknowledged immediately, looking to Razari and nodding.  "I will NOT dishonor the Hellfurion Army and our Legion."  Razari nodded, and returned his gaze out the window before him.

"I also pray that you are correct about that..."  Razari said under his breath.

[Kursed]

Staying behind the truck for cover Krystal activated her sword again checking her shield strengths it was slowly recharging up from 60 % that sniper round had reduced her shields power by half .  As soon as her sheild hit 70% she rushed towards th dtroop refleting bullets and lasers where he could to prevent  her sheild from failina as she approched the troopers.

Todd, who had jumped into the truck with his friends, heard what Tala told him.  "You got it Tala, thanks." he said.

From the back of the truck, Todd traded fire with the enemies, cutting some of them down.

"Damn!" Todd shouted as the truck tipped over. 

He grabbed hold of the side frame on the passenger's side for safety,

then dropped down safely when the truck was on its side.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"FIRE!!!  FIRE!!!  FIRE, FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!"  One of the sergeant's in front ordered aloud as Hellfurion troops were firing constantly towards Krystal and reloading whenever they could.  The snipers up in the tower exited their used round and placed a fresh round into the chamber.  Soon, they lined up their shots and fired.

Para pulled himself through the smashed window and flopped into the carrying portion of the supply truck.  He crawled a little ways, then grabbed the sides of the cargo, pulling himself to his feet and stubbling out of the truck.  He laid in plain view of the snipers, but soon grunted and rolled behind the truck -- rounds from the troops on ground level pinging off the metal road.  He laid against the steel cargo hull holding his chest as he brought his rifle around from his back and onto his lap, then cocked it as he tried to regain his breath.  His head lightly slumped against the hull as he breathed in through his nose with his eyes shut, but was soon caught off guard by coughing up blood first through his nose, then out through his mouth right after.  He panted for a few moments before slowly pulling himself to the front of the truck.

"Damn,"  He growled, looking to the side.  "That sniper round...  UGH!!  Sure did...  A number on me...!"  He held his breath as he pressed the rifle to his shoulder and peered sharply around the corner -- ringing out several shots and dropping six men instantly, then darted back around.  He exhaled his held breath and panted more as he stared at the blood from his chest and now on his rife.

[Kursed]

Krystla rolled avoiding the sniper rouind she  got up  and started slashing troopers quickly moiwing them down before the snipers could fire again. She stopped with the sword to the seargent's neck "Call off the snipers.'She growled to him  aware that her sheilds were about to fail from all the damage they were taking but every second she could keep from being shot at her sheilds would recharge so buying anytime was  probalby the best thing.

With the snipers busy Tala was able to crawl out form under the truck and get a good aim on a sniper with her own sniper rifle although her position was...rather awkward.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

"Not on your LIFE!!!" The seargent growled back and a sniper round slammed into Krystal's shields.

"ERGH...  Jesussss...."  Para groaned, holding his chest with the sniper round in his chest.  By it's given looks, it seems as though it had pierced his chest cavity bone and lodged itself in his chest about halfway into his body.  He coughed up more blood as he went to raise his rifle around the corner, but his aiming soon became blurry and he tried his best to shrugg it off, but he was losing too much blood.  "Ugh...  I just hope...  I can manage until...  We get done with this fire fight..."  He grumbled to himself with blood seeping down the side of his lip and staining his fur.  "Bah -- this isn't my day...!"  He raised his rifle once more and as he aimed, a bullet grazed his shoulder, sending furr flying, but he ignored it as he fired burst rounds out -- trying to keep his focus on aiming.

After taking down two more men, Para finally shot back around and his rifle tumbled to the ground beside him as his muscles started becoming weaker.  He gritted his teeth as the pain settled in and he coughed a slight bit of blood through his teeth and some seeped from his nose.  "...*Pant*...  *pant*...  *GASP*  I surely hope...  I can hold off for...  Just a little bit longer...!!!  Ah...  Muscles weak...  I can't even raise my rifle...  erg, yet alone...  My reserve pistol..."

[Kursed]

"KRystal shield failed as the bulelte reflected off her shield "DANGIT" She growled slashing the sargetn in half.

Tala  started to take down each sniper one by one  exposingherself to shoot the last one.

Lupe crawled over to Para "HOLD ON!" she siad quickly looking over him

Krystal made a mad Dash for Para with her sheilds at 5 % and rising they'd barely cover anything she just hoped  her body armor would last she  quickly grabbed one of the dead heffuions helemts and put it on to protect her head iignoring the pain her ears gave her when she tried to put on the human helmet.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para looked over at Lupe weakly and smirked, "Heh... *cough*  It's ironic that I can...  Heal myself so quickly...  Yet my body isn't...  Pushing this round out of...  it...  *COUGH, COUGH*"  Para closed his eyes tightly as he gasped for air and exhaled, regaining his breath and holding his chest with his hand tighter.  "Bleeding...  It will not...  Stop..."  As Para struggled to keep himself alive, the rest of the ground forces were exterminated, but only one sniper remained.

While in his throne room, Scholar Razari noticed the looming silence that followed the halting of the gunfight down below.  Maradic noticed it as well with a rotation of his right ear.

[Kursed]

Tala took out the last sniper before he was able to put a new round it "heh stupid old bolt action rifles."She laughed

Krystla skidded to a stop near para and quickly got to work "I swear I'm going to kill all of you then  revive you when this is over."Krystal joked as she  puleld the bullet out of para  quickly sealing the wound with some Biofoam she had.

"Now you might cough up a little of the foam but it's better than  coughing up blood.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para chuckled, "Well...  Some of us have bad luck...  Like most of the people here.  I'm surprised you girls managed to survive with just a few scrapes and scratches, yet alone hardly any bullet wounds."  He ripped off a few straps from his leg bandages and wrapped them around his chest, then patted it lightly.  "There...  That should do it for a little while."  He rose to his feet, picking up his rifle while wiping off the blood onto his clothes, then lowering it as he stared at the tower.  Looking to the girls, "Are you three ready to finish this?"  He especially looked at Lupe, "You should know who we have not dealt with yet..."

[Kursed]

Para chuckled, "Well...  Some of us have bad luck...  Like most of the people here.  I'm surprised you girls managed to survive with just a few scrapes and scratches, yet alone hardly any bullet wounds."  He ripped off a few straps from his leg bandages and wrapped them around his chest, then patted it lightly.  "There...  That should do it for a little while."  He rose to his feet, picking up his rifle while wiping off the blood onto his clothes, then lowering it as he stared at the tower.  Looking to the girls, "Are you three ready to finish this?"  He especially looked at Lupe, "You should know who we have not dealt with yet..."

"heh we'll the sheilds help a little plus we are wearing body armor we just could use some helmets I'm surprized no one has realize that."Krystal Told Para.

"I have a feeling it's more than just the scholar."Lupe sighed."

Tala reloaded her rifle. "Can we finish this already?

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para nodded and looked to Lupe, I know...  He then turned around, cocking his rifle and resting it on his shoulder.  "Well, then.  Shall we finish this and go home?"  He said aloud and began walking towards the elevator while stepping over the dead bodies of the Hellfurion Army that failed at defending their tower.

Todd made sure the last of the soldiers were dead.

He and his teammates had killed them all, including the snipers.

Todd had safely exited the truck, tucking, dropping, rolling, taking cover, and taking the enemies on,

whittling them down, as his teammates did the same.

"Well guys, great job..now the tower..." Todd said.

"NOT SO FAST..." a voice said.

Todd turned to see General Belial, of the Helghast Army (Formerly Known As General Stuart Adams of the ISA).

"Hello, Todd...." he said.

Todd's blood ran cold.

The two of them stood, face to face.

"I'm here to take you and your friends down!" General Belial sneered.

"Bring it on, STUART!  That's right, I know..." Todd said.

"You, me, one on one....unarmed." said General Belial.  "Fine..." Tod said.

They put down their arms, and circled each other.  Rain began to fall.

Todd's teammates cheered him on, as he engaged in hand to hand combat, with General Belial.

They fought each other, in martial arts, each of them highly skilled, in different ways.

Todd and General Belial traded punches and kicks, hurting each other.

Todd caught General Belial off guard, and really delivered a well placed jump kick to his head, knocking him down. 

But the General managed to do a jumping snap up, and he foot swept Todd to the ground, and pinned him with his legs, as

he knelt on top of Todd.  "When I break your neck, I'm gonna go to McCloud Hall, and have my way with your wife!" General Belial sneered.

Big Mistake!

Todd managed to get General Belial off of him, and he elbow struck the General, knocking the wind out of him.  He then kicked the General in the groin "THAT was for brainwashing me!" he said.  *SMASH* Todd then broke the General's ribs.  "THAT was for Corneria!" *BAM*  "That was for my friends and allies!" *WHAM!*  That was for Lieutenant Klaro!"  Todd then got the weakened General to bite down on a stone bench, and he curb-stomped General Belial, killing him.  "THAT was for anything and everything I missed!" he said.

He gathered up all his weapons, armed himself, and said to his teammates "Let's kill us a Dictator!".

Para nodded to Todd and the group, then they all stepped into the elevator.  This elevator was not like the others in that it was only a large platform with barriers that sprang up after Para pressed a flap-like switch with his hand.  It then made a loud clang and it delatched from it's supports, then began to roar up the side of the tower.  "Alright, let's make this quick and get out of here.  We are going to interegate this man, then we are to take him prisoner like Colonel Teplar requested."  Para informed, setting his rifle down to his side and looking to the group.  He then looked off to the distance as the elevator continued rising into the sky.  "And I am going to get a room to myself and relax the whole day with a first-class meal..."  He said quietly to himself.

Maradic's ears perked and rotated towards the thrown room's doors, but Scholar Razari remained silent and still --He already knew the group was on their way to his throne room.  "Maradic,"  Razari began, "Prepare yourself --They are coming..."

"I know, my emperor.  I will not let you down...!"

[Kursed]

the she-wofves loaded their guns with a new magazine.

"I sense MArcus."Krystal  whispered to Para... "he's probalby brain washed I'll deal with him.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Para sighed and looked up, "I figured as much...  Do what you can, Krystal."  He then cocked his rifle and anger appeared amongst his brows.  Soon, the elevator slowed down and the throne room's doors were in plain view.  The elevator stopped and the barriers lowered slowly with a loud clang.  Para grunted and began walking towards the doors..

"Maradic,"  Razari said, looking slightly in his direction, "Come to me."

"Yes, my emperor."  Maradic soon left his spot near the door and walked up the steps to where Razari sat.  "Yes, my--"

A loud gunshot rang throughout the tower.

"Do you really think your 'loyalty' will be enough to withstand these heathens that are about to storm into my THRONE ROOM?!?!  You are just as weak as the rest of my fallen sons!"  Scholar Razari growled, holding his pistol to Maradic's gut as a small hole was behind Maradic's back, and he choking --gagging in his mask.  "To be a TRUE son of my own, you would have gone out there and RISKED your LIFE FOR THE UNION!!!  YOU ARE NO HELLFURRRRIIONNNNNNN!!!!!!!"  Scholar Razari rose from his chair and shoved Maradic away.  Maradic stumbled and fell to the floor on his back --hands hovering above the gunshot wound Razari inflinched, and looked up at his leader.

"*Gag*... Buh...  B-but I ser...  I served...  *cough* Like you ordered me to--"

"MY ORDERS DO NOT MEAN A THING TO A SON OF THE UNION!!!!  YOU WOULD HAVE IGNORED SUCH AN ORDER AND GONE TO JOIN YOUR BROTHERS FOR THEIR FINAL HOURS!!!!"  Scholar Razari snapped back and pointed the pistol to Maradic's chest.  "NOW, JOIN THE FALLEN VEKTRAN SOLDIERS THAT STARTED THIS GODFORSAKEN WAR!!!!" 

Another gunshot rang throughout the tower.

Para froze as he heard the first gunshot, then the pause, and the next gunshot.  "No......"  He muttered and looked to the others in anger.  "LETS MOVE!!!  NOW!!!"  Para then started sprinting up the stairs and to the throne room's doors.
