Starzone: Liberation

"Hello, Todd....I am Lieutenant Klaro.  I am your contact.  They're expecting us both now.  They think you've sneaked away from the master ship, in desertion.  They don't suspect a thing.  Follow my lead, and we should be okay.  They think I'm a spy for them as well, but like you, I'm a double agent.  Not all the half breed Helghast are 'anti-Visari, anti-Helghast'...but be on your guard." the Helghast half-breed soldier declared.

Todd nodded, and followed the Lieutenant back to the secret Helghast Base.

"Dash make sure your gun is  properly latched before you shut the door."Ruby instructed Dash on the use of the Drop pod.

Dash nodded at Krystal as he strapped his blaster into his holster, and locked the shotgun into place. As he strapped himself down into the drop pod, he spoke into his comm.

"You ready Ruby?" he asked.

[Kursed]

"Just try to land right side up."Ruby replied, her tail swishing playfully inside the Pod.

"All pods confirmed Ready."Serena noted.

"Just try to land right side up."Ruby replied, her tail swishing playfully inside the Pod."

Dash grinned, "You be sure to do the same, girl." he replied to Ruby.

Dash realized that right below him was a hot zone, and he could probably get his butt shot off at any time. He couldn't help but feel a little scared. He remembered when he last dropped into combat, back during the Titania Ruins mission. He remembered what he had said, and he thought that would break the tension.

"We're on an express elevator to hell........ GOING DOWN!"

"Hold on Cowboy."Ruby giggled.

"When you hit the ground I want all of use to group up make sure your gear works before you go into combat please if we land in a calm area.

"Copy that,"  The flight commander confirmed back and nodded to the ship controlmen behind the ship's controls.  They each nodded to each other and proceeded to opening the lift-locks on the drop decks.  Soon, the intercom on each flagship rang on and a V.I.'s voice came through, "ALL PERSONAL:  PROCEED TO DROPCARRIERS IMMEDIATELY"  Para and Marcus exchanged glances and climbed aboard the drop carriers, sitting down beside the rails and holding onto them as they helped fellow soldiers up.  An engineer down below them handed Para two ISA assault rifles, then Para called out Marcus' name through the constant yelling and sirens going off.  He tossed one to Marcus, who caught it with one hand and rested it on his lap, and then they, Para, Marcus and the soldiers sitting beside them on the fully open drop carriers, all watched the other flagships launch their drop carriers.

"ALRIGHT,"  Marcus yelled to the men beside him, and they all turned to his attention, "WHEN WE TOUCH DOWN, I WANT ALL OF YOU TO STICK TO ME LIKE DRY ICE AND COVER EACH OTHER LIKE THEY WERE YOUR FULL BLOODED BROTHERS!!!"  They all acknowledged him and gripped the rails as they waited for their drop carrier to launch.  Soon, the V.I. came back through on the intercom:

"ATTENTION ALL PERSONAL:  PREPARE FOR IMMEDIATE DROP!  GOD SPEED BE TO ALL OF THE BRAVE AND NOBLE."  After saying so, the first four dropcarriers unlatched with a loud CLANG and roared down into the atmosphere.  Then, a green light flashed on and Marcus turned to his men, "ALRIGHT!!  HANG OOONNNN!!!!!!!!"  Soon, the same loud CLANG was heard and Marcus', and Para's, dropcarrier roared down and, like it were on a guided trail, descended in a diagonal path.

The Hellfurions and Venomians were all alerted of the Vectrans' dropcarriers and were stationed on high alert along, inside, and near the buildings and bridges.  They all hid behind stone, brick, and steel cover, gripping their assault rifles and heavy armoury, as they waited for the incoming Vectrans.  The waves along the shore crashed against the barriers outside where the Hellfurions, and Venomians, were stationed.  It seemed like an eternity until a brigade of dropcarriers were seen from several miles away.

"INCOMING VECTRANS!!!"  A Hellfurion luitenent yelled out to the soldiers and they all tensed their muscles, gripping their weapons tighter, and watching the skies.  "BE ON GUARD MEN!!!  FOR THE GLORY OF HELLFURE!!!"  Then, there was an uproar of 'GLORY OF HELLFURE' among all of the Hellfurions, but the Venomians remained silent, like assassins.

Dash saw that the other drop carriers were starting to launch from the other ships, it had begun.

"I think that would be our cue guys!" yelled Dash.

"...so, you're the cousin of the famous 'Fox McCloud', are you, Todd?" asked General Belial, of the Helgan military.  Lt. Klaro and Todd McCloud stood before General Belial, as he paced back and forth before them, in a dark, underground bunker, with dozens of Helghast soldiers just in that room acting as bodyguards for the general.  More Helghast soldiers and Helghast elite soldiers patrolled the anterooms and corridors beyond.

"Yes, sir..." said Todd.

"I am to understand your cousin is working for the government of Corneria, who have forged an alliance with the ISA.  Now, boy, tell me...why should I trust you!?" General Belial let out a blood chilling chuckle.

"I hate the ISA!  They are self-centered, imperialist pigs, who are dragging Corneria, and the Star Fox Team, into a war that's not ours.  The ISA has exploited the Helghast, who for too long have been shunned, oppressed, and persecuted by the ISA scum, who offered the Helghast Colonies no aid, sympathy, or protection...yet when the Helghast survived the unforgiving, harsh, brutal environment of Helghan, and built better homes and lives for themselves, suddenly the ISA had the nerve to make demands of the Helghast, like it was suddenly any business of theirs what went on with Planet Helghan." Todd said.

The General's Partrician eyebrows (or rather, where the eyebrows would be on his face if he weren't bald like all Helghast) raised.  He steepled his fingers in pyramid. 

"Hmmm...interesting...but why turn on your team, your government?  Hm?" he asked Todd.

"I still love my government, my team, my cousin...but, they are misguided...blind to the truth.  They must also be handled with tough love, especially my cousin, Fox, and the CDF, the Cornerian and Lylatian government and citizens.  I have to open their eyes, as mine were opened." Todd said.

General Belial smiled at Todd, then Lt. Klaro. "Very good, young master McCloud!  Well, I se you have potential...you would least likely be suspected, by your government, your team...you can prove to be very useful behind enemy lines...you have my approval."

Later, in their quarters, which Todd and the Lieutenant shared, they quietly talked.  "I'm surprised at how convincing you came off, Todd." said Lt. Klaro.  "Yeah...convincing..." Todd replied, staring away, in a distant manner.

Dash saw that the other drop carriers were starting to launch from the other ships, it had begun.

"I think that would be our cue guys!" yelled Dash.

"all drop  pods prepare for drop!"serena's voice said throught the aurora as all the drop pods began to launch.

"Whatch your trajectory  on your way in dash!"Krystal warned him.

The 5 drop pods crashed into the ground throwing dust into the air, once the dust 3 she-wolves in seemly light armored led by a blue vixen  were visable they had been mosty ignored since the hellfurions and venomians were focused on the vectans and coernians.

"Alright girls let's show um how it's done ,Dash you there"KRystal asked pulling out a gatling gun although this gun wasn't the standard starfox one it had been modified  with Cerinian tech making it  more accurate and maybe a little bite more powerful.

Lupe,Ruby and Tala(the three she wolves) pulled out  what looked like dual simple pistol liek blasters.

Dash had to kick open the door of his pod, as it had jammed up on impact. He unstrapped his shotgun from it's locks, and ran out to meet Ruby and the others.

"So what's the plan?" he asked.

take out anybody hellfurion aor venomoinian and stay close to ruby."Krystal told Dash rushing into the fight , leveleing a  small squad number of Hellfuriosn with her gatling gun.

Todd witnessed the battle from satellite imaging.  Him, Lt. Klaro, and General Belial all sat and watched at the console, witnessing the chaos.

"Tell me, Todd, who is that blue vixen there?" asked General Belial.  Todd hesitated for a minute.  He knew he had to gain the trust of the Helghast, if he wanted to gain their secrets.  He looked at Lt. Klaro, who wore a neutral expression, and then to General Belial, who stared inquisitively at him.

"Her name is Krystal.  She's part of team Star Fox...she's a telepath..." Todd began to explain everything, but not too much up front at once.  He spoke of the Star Fox Team, the CDF, and the Cornerian Intelligence Agency.  He also spoke of some ISA secrets that General Pepper had given him, to use as bait to gain the trust of General Belial and the Helghast.

When he finished, he looked at General Belial who said nothing at first, but then said "Excellent!  Well, Todd...it seems perhaps I should let you in on a little secret..."

The dropcarriers were soon about a thousand, two-hundred and fifty miles from the surface and soon their carriers were descending into the clouds.  Some of the soldiers were loosening their muscles as soon as they were into the clouds since the atmosphere they were in started warming their uniforms.  The wind that soon picked up started causing the uniforms to flap and wrathel with the wind, and then caused the fur on Marcus and Para to flap a little.  Marcus turned to his men to check up on them and soon there were several loud booms and small dark clouds that pasted the carriers, causing majority of the soldiers to flinch and look at them.  Marcus flinched and looked around, then back to his men, "ANTI-AIR!!  KEEP YOUR HEADS DOWN!!"  He yelled through the wind that drowned his voice.

Soon, a passing carrier drifted towards Marcus and Para's and the leaders of them waved at them, calling out to them but it only sounded like constant yells.  Marcus violently waved them away, "MOVE!!!  GET BACK!!!  YOU'RE TOO CLOSE TO US!!!"  The leader nodded and shoved the pilot, making him swing away and push forwards.  Soon, the clouds disappeared and the view of a large industicalic city was seen, then the passing carrier exploded into a massive fireball, throwing the soldiers on board off on flames, and Marcus' crew, along with himself, ducked as the debris flew past them.  The carrier howled and whistled loudly as it hurtled towards Krystal's dropzone and then crashed under the bridge, kicking up dust and threw parts all over the crashzone with sounds of clanging metal.

Marcus and Para's dropcarriers landing several clicks offshore, along with Ves' and Regul's, and they all stormed off; dodging bullet after bullet and rockets that aimlessly exploded around them.  They all huttled against a long steel barrier, releasing their magazines, checking the bullet count, slapping it back in, and pulling back the chamber to have a fresh bullet inside.  "ALRIGHT,"  Para started, "VES!!  I WANT YOU AND YOUR MEN TO PRESS DOWN CENTER, BUT STAY COVERED BY THE STONE BARRICADES THEY SET UP!!!"  Marcus then looked towards Regul, "REGUL, YOU TAKE YOUR SQUAD AND FLANK THE RIGHT SIDE!!!"  Para checked his ISA assault rifle he had been given, then him and Marcus both looked at each other.  "READY??!!" 

"AS I'LL EVER BE!!!  JUST GIVE THE CALL!!!"  Para yelled back over the loud and constant gunfire, bullets ricochetting off walls, and explosions gallore.  Marcus looked at everyone and they all nodded.  Regul pulled her night vision goggles ove her mask and pulled out her silenced machine pistol, and her squad did the same.  She commanded a squad of like-minded soldiers that worked together as one mind. 

"GGGOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!"  Marcus screamed and they all got up and ran as fast as they could to their posts.  Bullets whizzed by like screaming bumble bees and one of the soldiers following Marcus' squad screamed after they heard a low thunk, then hearing the soldier stumble around, then fell to his knees.  A medic ran over, ignoring the bullets whizzing by, and grabbed the injured soldier by the arm, and threw it over his shoulder; grasping the soldier's hip, and rushing him to cover.  He rested him down as soon as they were avoided by the bullets and he quickly pulled out his medkit, opened it, and pulled out a scapel, which he held gently in his right hand and gave the soldier morphine through a syringe, then placed a small narrow piece of wood into his mouth.

Soon, the soldier's head was whipped up, veins popping along his neck, and yelling, but the piece of wood absorbed all of it.  Soon, the bullet was extracted and thrown to the side in a bloody mess, and the medic quickly added a little more morphine to the soldier, then quickly wrapped it up; blood was soon staining it.  He helped the injured soldier up, gave him his rifle back, then got his own rifle and awaited Marcus' further orders.

while krystla continued to spray fire from her gatling gun Ruby and Tala sniped any hallfurions that got to close to her and some in front of her as well,

Lupe kept krystal's back clear by shooting anyenemies that had gotten behind her that the two sniping  wolves couldn't get.

[Guest Para Astaroth]

Hellfurions were constantly dropping, then a third of the whole army turned towards Krystal's group and opened fire; bullets blazing by.  Snipers in partially covered towers lined their shots up with red lasers visible if seen, one lining up with Lupe's chest, fired, but it sank and headed towards her right shoulder.  Others fired, but either hit the barricades or missed by just a hair.

Regul's squad flanked under Krystal's position, heading towards the Hellfurion's furthest side to take them out from behind; guns constantly aimed in front of them and their whole uniforms cloaked.

Ves' group remained in their spot as they gave pop-shots to the Hellfurions and Venomians, but mainly missing.  A few fell, then were dragged to the side as bullets landed into each other.  Left and right, bodies were piling up on both sides.

Marcus' squad quietly and quickly advanced through the outside of the battlefield, then up a few flight of stairs; shooting Hellfurions and Venomians stationed there as they ascended up the flight of stairs.

Lupe noticed a ping as a blue ring  rippled through her personal sheild  like a ripplle through water the ripple  floated outward around the sheild before dissapearing.

Krystal's personal shield was pinging slighty as bullets hit it she monitored it's power level via her whatch as she continued to spray laser fire from her gatling gun towards teh helfurions

Tala and ruby turned their attention to the towers trying to shoot the snipers through the small windows that let them fire back.

Then, Ves' voice rang throughout everyone's communicator channels, "PINNED DOWN, PINNED DOWN!!!  SOMEONE GIVE US SOME F***ING COVERING FIRE!!!!!!"  Regul stopped beside a building, behind a wall, holding her fist to the air initiating her squad to 'stop.'  She placed her hand over her communicator mike.

"Affirmative, Ves.  I'm going to get to a higher area to take a few of them out.  After that, you're on your own..."  She replied coldly and held her index and middle finger together, motioning in front of her and her squad ran along the wall, behind each other, and soon they were advancing inside the building across from Marcus' squad.

Marcus' squad advanced up two more flight of stairs and stayed behind one another in formation.  As they were stepping onto the nineth floor, Marcus swiftly raised the barrel of his rifle and rang a short burst of rounds out.  Blood sprayed momentarily in the air and a Hellfurion trooper twirled off the rail and tumbled down the stairs and onto the level below.  Marcus' squad was pressed against the wall as the trooper tumbled down.  He waved his hand to Para, whom nodded and walked up behind Marcus, then as Marcus raised his index to the sniper in front of them about seventeen feet away, the sniper's head recoiled violently, shooting blood from it's forehead, and it slammed onto the floor on his back with a low THUD.

"MOVE UP!!"  Marcus ordered and they did so.  "POSITION YOURSELVES ALONG THE WINDOWS AND PROVIDE COVERING FIRE TO VES' SQUAD BELOW."  All the soldiers slid down in front of the windows and pressed against them with their shoulders, and gripping tightly onto their rifles.  "On my mark...."  Marcus began slowly as he peered just barely down at the Hellfurions and Venomians in full assault.  Para slowly picked up the sniper rifle, examining it, then pulled the lever back, shooting an empty shell out, and peered through the sights as he aimed it down the hall.  He grunted eagerly under his breath and knelt down in front of the window.  Then, slowly, he placed the sniper rifle onto the window, slowly aiming it down at the enemies firing constantly at the Vectrans and Cornerians, and gave a thumbs up to Marcus. 

Marcus nodded.  "3.......2........1......."  Then, Marcus aimed his rifle out the window, "OPEN FIRE!!!!!!"  After giving the order, a loud and thunderous repeating sound of gunshots rang out from the middle level of the building, down towards the Hellfurions.

Regul heard the gunshots, stopped momentarily, then pressed on.  She halted at the next corner, then slowly peered around the corner.  She saw four troopers:  One medic, two heavy troopers, and one assault trooper.  She slowly unsheaved her knive from behind her belt, pressing it against her silenced machine pistol, and pressed herself against the wall around corner.  She rose three fingers, then motioned to herself, and three cloaked troopers followed close behind her.  They soon stopped behind them and raised their guns.  "On my mark......"  She quietly whispered, holding her cloaked hand to her side.  She slowly raised her gun to the medic's head, then the others did the same to their targets, and waited.  Soon, she unlocked her safety, causing the troopers to look around, and she yelled.  "NOW!!!"  Silent shots thumped into the four troops and they all collapsed, limp, onto the floor.  She looked around at the three soldiers with her, "...Great job...  Move up....!"

Krystal's small specialist squad soon met up with Regul's.

Krystal silently  greeted her ally with hand singals aslo holding her hand up in a fist telling the girls and Dash behind her to stop.

Everything good on your end? krystal asked telepathically something she did to keep silent that was how she worked silent and deadly.

Regul turned around and nodded while uncloaking herself.  She pulled her mask down, "We're fine," she began, "All we need to do is proceed to the twelvth floor and lower the bridge so Marcus and his squad can proceed to our position.  Then, we'll proceed from there after what Colonel Teplar has informed him."  The whole time, she was knelt over and glancing around the ledge at the Vectrans and Cornerians skirmishing on the ground; making sure no stray rockets flew in their general direction.

As Dash was listening to orders, a hellfurion soldier leaped over the wall and attempted to knife him, Dash let loose his last loaded shell, blasting the soldier back over the wall. He started to reload as another Hellfurion came around the other side of the wall, he fired at Dash, hitting him in his left arm. Dash cried out in pain, he had never been shot before, the wound felt like it was on fire. He pulled his blaster with his right arm and shot down the soldier that got him.

"I'M HIT!!!!" Dash yelled.

hearing Dash Ruby turned to Dash with a almost lightning speed turn she rushed to him and tended  to his wound "Be more careful."She said injecting some Cornerian form of morphine to relax his pain, She kissed him once she was done  with his wound."Stay closer to me next time."she added

Mind if we join you? Krystal asked turning her head back to Dash making sure he was taken care of she hadn't twitched when he yelled externally anyway.

"Thanks" Dash grunted as the morphine took over. He pulled himself back onto his feet, his arm had lost a little bit of it's mobility, he would have to be more careful. He moved closer to Ruby and drew up his shotgun to the best of his ability.

"you forgot this."Ruby mutter stuffing a magazine drum of shotgun shells' into Dash's shotgun it clicked into place.
