Lucid McCloud
Nintendo is up to something with Star Fox.1: They got the address "www.Starfox.Com", odd. Probably spend some $$$ on that but i wouldn't know.2: in Super Smash Bros Brawl, (a huge game for Nintendo as we all know) instead of taking out Star Fox a supposedly hated series by Nintendo, they actually add another character in. whats with that? If they wanted Star Fox to just fade away they wouldn't add a 3rd character to one of there smash hit games. If anything they would keep just 2 or even (i know this might be spelled wrong) ween us off by only including fox instead of him and falco. To add a character takes L O T S of time and $ for programming and whatnot.Have any other things that seem to be a little, off? (in a good way. For Star Fox fans )

Mr. Foxer
Barely any new characters in SSBB. Guess they couldn't think of anyone else to add so why not Wolf?
Mr. Krystal
No. This is nothing. They renewed starfox.com because they didn't want a squatter, porn site, or us to grab it. They don't hate Star Fox any more than they hate Pikmen.
StarFoxfan-FUR_ever
But if I remember correctly, didnt someone (was in Miyamoto...i dont remember) at nintendo say that they were in the process of, i guess, brainstorming ideas? And this was said like a year ago or so? I need someone to refresh my memory, because now i'm thinking of "Nintendo of Europe" being involved.... They've been saying it for about 4 years. And even if they aren't saying it, they are always thinking about new ideas. Whether or not they use them in a game, how, and when, are different questions altogether.
Star Fox Runner
There really isn't any concrete evidence that Nintendo is doing anything with Star Fox, simply speculation. If the project does exist, (which is highly probable, but not proven) they could be working on it internally with EAD, they could have handed it off to Retro Studios as the secret project they are working on, heck, they could have handed it off to THQ, EA, or even LucasArts for all we know. It's all just speculation. Kit-Karamak
Last thing heard about STarFox was when IGN talked to Dylan Cuthburt and one of the Japanese higher-ups. They were talking about the endings of Command. I believe they said something along the lines of, "As fun as it was to do the ending with Fox and Krystal's kid having Falco join the group, minus one leg (Dunno where THAT came from??), and as fun as it was to give Slippy hundreds of kids, there's no set ending. These are all POSSIBLE endings depending on how you play the game, but there's no single one of them that will seal the deal for the next game in the series." Shortly after that, Shiggy M. says that he's pondered how fun it would be to fly, along the lines of an Arwing, by using the Wiimote. There's lots of cool things that could be done to implement the idea of using the wiimote as a flight yoke / stick. Let's think about StarFox for a minute. Star Fox, first to introduce the FX chip. Star Fox, first to introduce the rumble pack. Star Fox, first to introduce static fur layering effect. Star Fox, first flight simulator developed to fly with a touch screen / stylus. I do believe that Ace Combat came out for GBA, but not DS, so... yeah. Each "star fox first" was very well done and showcased that technology to the fullest. Someone once argued that SF64 was also the first full-speech game on a cartredge but... Rock 'n Roll racing did it on the SNES, Mortal Kombat Trilogy did it on N64, a year before SF64 came out. And PlayStation had already made it a "no big deal" perk. So, most likely, Nintendo probably DOES have Star Fox in some stage of development, but they're probably NOT rushing with it. They had a Star Fox on the drawing table for the virtual boy, and the only systems that didn't see a StarFox (other than NES, obviously) was GBA. So! It's VERY LIKELY we'll see it for Wii. But the signs that you've pointed out... eh. Not all that tell-tale. However, I WAS surprised to see that StarFox.com no longer has ANYthing on it. It used to have stuff for the older games posted. Maybe they're working on something? Who knows. But they could EASILY have left the old page up. Also, I don't think they hate Star Fox. It's sold a 'million copies (platinum sales)' status for EVERY game released. That's the mark of a very successful franchise. It sells better than F-Zero games. It sells better than Sony's Sly Cooper franchise, better than EA's James Bond series, and, unlike the newer Sonic games, which are tapering off in popularity (by sales), STAR FOX is STILL holding its own. I mean, no matter how you look at it, with EVERY GAME in the series having hit platinum status, they're going to assume the next release will, too. Maybe Nintendo is going to do something different or special for the next one. MAYBE they'll do it IN HOUSE... but I doubt it. They love having someone else do it. Ah well. It'll eventually happen. But they'll be SUPER tight-lidded on it for a while, trust me. They would never want to make the same mistake they made before with SF2 for snes. That's a "NEVER AGAIN!" kind of thing and probably left an ill taste in their mouth. Kinda' like how John Carmack told Game Informer that "Doom4 is in a blacked out part of the building, where no one can go anywhere near that whole wing." That's his way of psyching people up for future doom4, but not a single further detail can get released. Black out contract, they don't want no one to know anything. And for all we know, they've not found a good third-party group to do it, yet. D:

It isn't wise for a company to let domains expire, especially if there is a chance you may use them in the future. Squatters, parkers, and pranksters love to buy domains that people may unexpectedly stumble into. It's basically trademark protection. Plus, they're cheap. Nintendo probably gets a package deal for their domains that is close to wholesale price, so it is likely keeping starfox.com registered costs Nintendo less than $2 per year. Retail domains run between $5 and $10 (without hosting) yearly depending on registrar (if you're paying more than that, you're getting ripped-off). Some hosts even give one to you free if you host with them. Hosting is more expensive, but Nintendo is large enough that they probably host their websites out of their own datacenter (if you already have the infrastructure, why pay someone else for it?).2. While a new Kid Icarus game is rumored to be in development, we haven't seen it. But we still got Pit in SSBB. Also, there hasn't been an Ice Climber since the NES days, and Nana and Popo are in 2 Smash games. Just because characters appear in a game like SSB doesn't mean there are games for their respective series in development. That's like inferring a band that hasn't released a new album in years is going to release a new one soon because their songs ended up on a compilation album. Many people said they were thinking about how it would work. They've been saying it for about 4 years. And even if they aren't saying it, they are always thinking about new ideas. Whether or not they use them in a game, how, and when, are different questions altogether.This.

Kit-Karamak
LOL jesus! So what caused this? I didn't know anything about it, all I knew is that in the ending picture, Falco is so far to the left that one leg is out of the picture and so I took that article and wrote it happening into my FFstory, Reflections of a New Generation. But what was really the reason Falco lost his leg? or, rather, how do they word such an injury in the ending piece? THat's pretty epic, if not completely humbling, for someone like Falco. ;Maybe it was a bike accident while hanging with the Space Hot Rodders? xD
X-Gamer
Wow, falco lost a leg huh? Anyway, I don't think Nintendo is going to do much with starfox at the moment and possibly the near future. I think they just made and included SF stuff like wolf in brawl to...1. Have one extra character for brawl2. Remind others that SF did in fact once exist
