StarFox Armada PROLOUGE IS UP~!

alright, seeing as its kind of incomplete and needs some editing here and there, i will repost the final draft on deviant-art, but for now, since everyone's been so patient! i present to you the prelude to my fanfic!

NOTE: go to the starfox-online jukebox and listen to the endings song from starfox command, really puts you into the mood.

PROLOUGE

Epilogue to Starfox Command

After defeating the Anglar Emperor, Falco and Slippy begin to celebrate. Fox, on the other hand, tried to convince Krystal to rejoin the team despite the fact that she joined his arch enemy StarWolf. Yet despite the entire teams support, she refused. She didn’t want to continue life as a mercenary, especially if that meant a relationship with Fox. Fox couldn’t be deprived of his relationship with Krystal, he had to convince her somehow that she was making a mistake, his love for her was strong and he couldn’t imagine life without her. Besides where would she go? Would she go back to StarWolf? He couldn’t bear the thought of losing her to the man that haunted him his entire life, the man that once teamed up with the person responsible father’s betrayal and ultimately his death, Pigma. After months of celebration for the rest of Lylat, Krystal and Fox continue to argue as though the victory never took place, overshadowing their compatriots till finally the argument escalated to the entire disbandment of the StarFox team, for which Slippy and his new wife Amanda, take as an opportunity to start a family. Falco on the other hand, took the news very sourly and couldn’t forgive Fox for not letting Krystal decide things for herself. When they disbanded, Falco went to Slippy to see if they can start some form of new StarFox team in the ashes of the old. However Slippy turned him down in defense of his new family with Amanda. Katt, an old friend of Falco decided to contact him with an offer just to get away; to find their own adventures and start a new life without any aid from anybody. With the bitter division still left on his tongue, he departed for a life with Katt.

Fox's resolve to live a life with Krystal was so great, he decided to leave StarFox and promise a life with Krystal, and without Fox at the core of the team, it would mean the disbandment of StarFox as a whole. Despite Falco's arguments, Fox left and shattered the once mighty union of Starfox. Krystal just couldn’t refuse Fox after such a great deal of sacrifice. However, Fox couldn’t help but stay away from piloting, so he joined the Lylat grand-prix and started a new racing carrier. Soon he won victory after victory, making the once grand status of the StarFox team fade into legend. As Fox’s fame rose, Krystal soon felt like she was just a wife for show, soon fox became a household name to fans of racing. Eventually Krystal became pregnant, bearing his child meant the world to Fox, he appreciated her support of his newfound carrier and life couldn’t be better for Fox, yet he still felt remorse after remembering Falco's determination for keeping the team together, and couldn’t help thinking what became of his rival and friend.

Krystal had just given birth to a new baby boy. Her thoughts would often stray elsewhere as she sat in the hospital room, Fox’s career made him so happy, yet it seems as though she felt robbed of the relationship she felt Fox had promised her. It all seemed like a distant memory, her feelings changed, she couldn’t think that her life would stay this dull, just a shadow of Fox’s life, she felt as though she was simply a hologram, empty and translucent. Yet she had a child now as well as a second on the way, what could she do? She couldn’t bear thinking of life as a mother. She loved her child, just as any mother would, but every time she looked into its newborn eyes, she saw the vastness of space and the sense of adventure she once had when she joined StarWolf. Yet no matter how much she looked away, she still missed the excitement of being in a Wolfen. The blow was almost too harsh to bear, barely a few weeks after Krystal gave birth, she took off with Fox's son without a single right or reason once again. His brain scrambled as his emotions welled within him, perplexing and torn at the loss of both his wife and son. Fox would keep racing, yet every victory could never feel as full as when he had his beloved wife at his side, was he destined to be alone in this Galaxy? Fox would never be the same after such a scar. He lived as one who was already dead, the fire and passion of life had left his eyes as he stared somberly into the sky.

Soon tensions rose between Corneria and the now booming planet Venom. With the aid of a terraforming device, Venom had been turned into a hospitable place with seas teeming with life. The planet’s sky became a greenish blue as the scar of the once extinct polluted planet began to sprout from the ashes of ruin. With Dash as the newly appointed leader of the planet, the planet was soon a thriving place for sentient life. Dash, being a relative of Andross, his scorn for Corneria was a personal vendetta against the pristine blue planet on the other side of the Lylat system. With a powerful dictator at the head of the Venomian army, flamboyant speeches arose about the hypocrisy of Corneria, and soon, rebels began to form, making life in Lylat worse and worse for its inhabitants. Bill had no choice; this rebel army was just starting to reach Sector X, That’s where the Cornerian army had planned to confront this new threat. As an enlisted pilot, they needed all the help they could get, despite his adopted son Lucas Grey, he had to leave. He turned to Fox for help begging him to promise that if anything happened to him, he would take care of Lucas. Fox couldn’t say no; Bill’s determination was too great, his persistence persevered and Fox decided to accept, every time he saw Bill, it reminded him of his academy days, his friendship and history together had a great influence on his decision. Besides, he had prepared to be a father for most of his years; it had seemed fate had deemed him to be a father in some form or another. With a clear conscience, Bill took to the skies to fight the army rising on the other side of the system.

The fight lasted for 4 months, and after quite some time, victory fell in the hands of Corneria. As most of these rebels were simply conscripts and recruits. However, war does not come without a cost, both sides suffered heavy casualties and finally settling for a moment of peace to mourne the dead. Lucas welled up in tears as he read the letter brought by two of Bills best friends, the heartbreak was all over thier faces, how could they bring such terrible news to a 7 year old boy who didnt have anyone else, since bill never married, he was all alone. Fox opened the door to the soon vacant apartment. he saw the boy balled up in the corner of the couch, licking his wounds of his adoptive fathers death, yet Fox knew the boy didnt know, as Bill had recieved him at birth and never got the chance to tell the boy of his origins. it was like loosing a real father to him, and Fox new perfectly well what that was like, all too well. At least that gave him a foothold.

im probably not going to do the whole thing, it gravitates too much around falco and others...

im definately taking fox's mothers name big time, but i feel she should be more obscure so i kinda blamed her death on child labor... kinda cliche...

i gave a bit of background on James, seeing as he doesnt have much of a background, i decided to give him some personality.

this hasnt been written or finalized yet, im just looking for some opinions and input...

I  think the fact that Vixy was taken by a bomb ment for james does make more sense than child labor. besides if she did die  after Fox's birth this would make Fox very prone to diseases his mother may have had immnities to so that canceles out Fox's non frail body.

also how do you feel about Fara Phoenix almost being like a mother to Fox? i know in the official series him and her are the same age, but i think that having her as a mother figure twords Fox and her being as old as James would really be more suitable... giving fox mixed feelings about his real mother seeing as fara looks so much like her... it would also eliminate her as a love intrest in Fox's eyes and really make Krystal the only one he truly desires...

unless we scrap that idea all together and have her return as an ex girlfriend after Krystal abandons him, really creating mixed feelings for Fox...

im not too much for drama, but it makes an awesome plot device XD

i think the worst part is, i think i might have to start from scratch thanks to all of my newfound ideas!

sigh, at least it will be better than when i wrote it the first time, and this time i have friends who are good at editing grammatical errors and such, im not exactly pro at correcting my own papers..

hopefully ill have SOMETHING done soon, in the meantime stay tuned, hopefully ill have some good topics to post around the forum related to it!
