All technology is inherently neutral, it is only when it is applied by man does it becomes good or evil.

:peppy: "Machines are machines, after all...those without strong wills can be turned to evil..."

The best guess is they would party likes its 2999.

ha ha, good one Sabre!

I always received the same pleasure from South Park as I did from being beat over the head by a rusty pipe.

that's about what all the new cartoons do to me.

this is why i'm sitting on the computer for five hours straight instead of whacthing Tv IT SUCKS NOW!

Indeed, the only good T.V. is older shows, and even then you're lucky to catch em on at convenient times. The only time I ever really watch T.V. myself is when I eat, or when I flip the channels over during a loading screen, or while waiting to find games.

Agreed on both.

American Idol is the worst reality show, ever!  It's an insult to music.

I believe he was talking about "Ed, Edd, and Eddy," as well as "Johnny Bravo."

Actually, the way it is supposed to work is it is  2013 as the Mayan calendar doesn't work quite the way ours does. And many people believe it isn't actually the end of the world, but a better tomorrow as the way it was worded meant essentially, "It is the end of the world as you know it." Obviously that wasn't the exact meaning, but it was along those lines, and many people believe what it means is that something will happen that will completely revolutionize life, I however, believe it to be the potential end of nearly all life, given the state the world is in today.

Question: Why does the Mayan Calendar stop at 2012?

Answer: Because when the Spanish invaded South America, they practically destroyed Mayan civilization.

(Another theory I was told was that the Mayans placed a curse on any Whites descended from those conquistadors that they would all die in 2012. Which isn't good if you happen to be Spanish and living in America but it is good for people like me who were smart and invaded Australia instead)

I've never watched any of those shows. Though AirGear is a good one. Basically my philosophy is: Avoid Anglo-Saxon cartoons at all costs, watch Japanese Cartoons. So far hasn't led me astray.

I like ed edd and eddy:) Probably the main reason i like it more then bugs bunny and tweaty show is because of how it's always on, so I've watched em all a multitude of times...

Johny bravo, I think I liked it, but I don't remember.

So, can I add a little side pocket to this topic, do video games rot your brain?

Not sure, ThePointingMan, I would play violent ones when I would get mad enough to feel the need to hurt things, that always helped, and kept me from committing a few felonies.

Spending 5 hours watching cartoons may be worse than watching 5 hours of documentaries.

Not if the documentaries you're watching are by Michael Moore (bleehhh.)  :P...

^ this

"Don't come-a-lookin' for a piece of the pie with Michael Moore around.  He ate it all."

I would never allow my own children to have a TV in their own bedroom, ever.

Other countries don't watch as much TV as Americans...maybe that's partly why American kids are being beaten by foreign kids....

Yes.

I've really been interested in physiology and psychology lately, I might even plan that being my expertise, aside from what I do now. (computers in and out) I can tell you right now that television can really rot your brain. But think of it this way, what do you consider "rot?"

Television can be a great way to entertain yourself and keep you informed with whats going on in the rest of the world. Lets put it this way, without it, its a little hard knowing whats going on! But if you watch fake content like Jersey Shore, you REALLY need some guidance in what life really is.

Just thought I should say that
