RPGmaster2000
I'm using Photoshop for creating images for RPG Maker, but all of them need to be at most 256 colors to be properly integrated to the program. Photoshop doesn't have such a feature to decrease colors (or so i think) and when using Paint to save the image as a 256 BMP, it always look bad. So i need some tips about some image optimizers that can properly convert a 24-bit BMP to an 8-bit BMP. Thanks in advance. ;)

RPGmaster2000
I tried that, but it didn't make any difference. Still unable to be imported to RPG Maker.
TravisFox
Save the files as a .png. This is usually the standard for sprite files.
RPGmaster2000
1. I did save it as a .png, but it didn't work because... 2. ... i need to change the colors to 8-bit, and that screws up the colors royally.
TravisFox
That can be hard to work with such a small bitmap of colors you have to tredo the whole thing with 8bit. I just downloaded this RPG maker 2003 andit seems fun but I have no clue to scripting any of it..Right now just working on charcter sprites and the map though.
