You know, it's kind of strange. I've been here for close to 3 years now, and I have seen plenty of members come and go over these past 3 years. I noticed we had a slew of new members join recently, and people have left over time as well. Three people I became friends with that have left over time are Catwings30, Sylum, and Absoludicrous91.

Though I'm still in contact with Catwings and Absoludicrous, it's still sad to see people leave. Though I don't find this a bad thing, people come and people go. That's just what it is. Maybe the ones that left will come back, maybe they won't. I'm still friends with some of the people that are still here, and maybe I'll make friends out of the new members.

I'm not sure how long I can stay here anymore myself. Going into the army for one year this autumn, and I don't know how often I will have internet access anymore.

I can promise tough, I will return once I'm done there.

But it's a little early for goodbyes yet. Heck, I might be allowed to bring a laptop there as well and use in my spare time. In which case, not much will really change.

It is just that some people do not like to... well, "bear arms against their will", as they put it.

I have an ukranian classmate whose parents seem to be like that, and they got away

to avoid having him into military service.

No problems if you want to do it through. In fact, for some reason I think you will do great there.

I'm definatively not some kind of pacifist. I prefer peace of course, but I'm also prepared to do what I believe is right. "Speak softly, and carry a big stick."

Last summer, I even applied for officers school.

After passing the physical test, giving a very good figure in the personal interviews, and doing very well in all the other various tests as well, I was actually formelly accepted in. About two thirds of all the competent, smart and atlethic juveniles that applied, didn't pass this loophole.

In the end, I realised that I didn't want to bind myself to a four year contract, not at my age. So I thanked no, and vent home.

All in all, I think I'm going to enjoy my stay in the army. Even how much I'm going to miss those I can't meet as often as I use to now.

They're disgusting cowards, IMO.  People like that should be executed.  If I had my own country, and there were people like that, I'd have them executed in the town square with a bullet to the back of the head, and I'd bill the family for the bullet.
