What was your first reaction when you first saw Krystal?

Noooooot really. Love is a two way street, bro, or at least in the context of commitment and such. People can't love Krystal anymore than I can love Metroid: Zero Mission, as in the end both are the same (a collection of coding and visuals that please in some way.)

Aye, and what of my love of Martin?

Same. It works much like my love of previously mentioned videogame, or more relatably Wesker. He's all badass.

Then give reasons. You know the way this works.

I literly love Martin. The same way a kid looks up to a foot ball player. I Wish some times all the time that i could be with him, or exactlaly like him, I wish i could talk to him, a constantly think, what would martin do? I read his books over and over and over again. For infinty and five times I love him. I creid when rose died, I cried when Luke died. I Felt so bad for him.

You don't love Martin, specifically, as he doesn't literally exist. Rather, you love the idea of a person possessing the same or similar qualities as him. Totally different.

:| No because , i love Jesus and i have never met him. Heck its possible he was never alive! But i love him. People fall in love with other people over the internet, And all they see is an avatar and a few sentances. You can love any thing. While he can never responed or give back he still can be loved.

Yes, pretty much anything can be loved. I'd be hard pressed to argue against that. But even Jesus is an example of loving the idea, as well as the actions, rather than the actual person. In the case of Jesus, you love the idea that what is essentially the physical manifestation of God would come to Earth, live with us, teach us, and ultimately die for us. You love his teachings, you love his actions, but without knowing him and interacting with him yourself, you can not love him. Am I doubting your love of your religion, or the strength of your faith? No. I'm simply getting the facts, as I am aware of them, set straight.

As for the Internet, totally different story. When falling for someone over the Internet, you interact with them and know them. Of course, you run the risk of that person being 'fake,' so in a sense you are simply in love with the idea of the person in question until you meet them in person and get to know them more intimately, but it's still a different scenario. There is interaction involved, rather than you simply reading about Martin's character and loving the ideals presented by it.

I'm thinking I'll be making a topic in the Pub about this, since here we're constrained by the topic itself and I'm thinking quite hard about all this now. If you feel like arguing this any more, I'll see you there.

Sorry, But I completely disagree with you Xort, Are you saying that if you haven't seen someone for 10 years or something that you can't love them because they've probably changed, and so you love them for who they used to be, not who they actually are?! That's just nonsense.

And you can invest a lot more time in characters in a book (or in religion if you're so inclined) or something than you can in real people, you can know them more intimately than you will know most people in your life, you learn to see their faults as well as their strengths. And if the character dies at the end of the story you can be physically and emotionally upset as if a real person had died. The only difference is that you can rationalise that the character WAS only a story. But that only helps you recover quicker, it doesn't stop you being upset in the first place.

Having said all that, in the case of someone like Krystal, I do agree that when you first see her, (And given that she has no real established character, probably ever after that), the only thing that you can feel for her is lust—not love... but now we're just picking at details, since to a lot of people its the same-diff.

I first saw her on Garrysmog.org as a ragdoll for the Source mod of the same name. The post said

"well invisghost got banned so i felt like reuploading the model it was seen in some of kitty0706's gmod videos.. well i suggest you go check them out...i didn't make the model :/ also anyone wanna be my friend well try the luck

BTW in case you didn't knew krystal is a furry :D long live furrys! "

and all i read was

"well, invisighost got banned, so i blah blah blah blah Kitty0706 Gmod Videos blah blah check the out. blah blah blah models

BTW blah blah blah furry :D long live blah's"

but when i took a look at the picture i was like

  "Is she in a swimsuit" then I was like  :friends: "you're hot!"

Krystal technically is an anthro, not a furry because WE (i.e. us humans) are furries.

  "Is she in a swimsuit" then I was like  :friends: "you're hot!"

I wouldn't mind seeing this picture if you still have it.  And yes, she's quite hot indeed.

This post says more than you probably know.

...and there's absolutely nothing wrong about that.  :)

My first reaction toward Krystal was unusual. I can't explain it too well because I can't seem to remember the event much at all. I do remember being stunned by something for some reason. It was this weird feeling in my gut. I can't really explain what it felt like too well. I didn't really learn more about her till joining here, and I have developed some admiration for her personality, as well as her will to move on despite her past. But my first reaction was just weird.

Like people, threads have varying lifetimes.

This one happens to be extremely ancient.

Like it's KLA equivalent, it should be stickied so that new SF-O members can notice it easier and answer it right off the bat. :)

*obligatory post reminding everyone that Krystal has no personality and that she moved on so well because even she seems to have forgotten her past*

Oh, please. If people can get on to Milky for posting the same thing all the time, then I can use the same logic to get upset about all the things people say about how much they love Krystal. There's very little variety there, is there? And yet I don't see anyone getting upset because someone said "When I first saw Krystal, I was really impressed by her personality and her past and she's soooo beautiful," do I?

This is a shameful double standard. If you have a problem with Milky, fine, but don't try to disguise it as exasperation because he's repeated himself. It's feeble, and it makes you look hypocritical.
