Chapter 1:

I, Julius Quasar, had just overcome a complicated ordeal, having endured blackmail from mobsters, a secret deal involving weapons of mass destruction, exile to Planet Venom, taking down an organized crime syndicate, battling with space hot rodders, and even seeing the spirit of a hero, the original Star Fox himself, James McCloud, and so much more...

We were now vacationing on Planet Sauria, on beautiful Cape Claw.  Todd, Lola, Madame Vulpine, Conrad, Misty, and I were staying in Todd and Lola's cottage.  Fox, Krystal, Tigress, Akasha, and Kylie stayed at Krystal's cabin.  The others stayed in dome tents pitched on the beach above the high tide lines.

We had beach parties, barbecues, and we swam in the beautiful waters of Cape Claw, which weren't as dangerous as they used to be, since the sea predators were all wiped out.  Also, the creatures that used to live in the sand and spit green stuff at us were all gone now, thanks to the Aparoid invasion.

In three more days, our vacation would be over, after today.  We were having a great time, but we were also looking forward to getting back into action.  Misty and I were swimming together in the cove, in front of the Ocean Force Point Temple.  I wore jammer swim trunks, and Misty wore a wetsuit just like this

or she wore a white swimsuit like this

Today she wore the wetsuit.  We were swimming, splashing, and laughing.  Todd and Lola were swimming near us as well, Todd wore red and black board shorts, and Lola wore a black, one piece swimsuit, with a thong cut on the back.  Yep.  They got out of the water, rinsed off under the waterfall next to the temple, dried off with their towels, and Lola placed her black sarong skirt around her waist, tied it and then sat down next to Todd, looking out over the cove.

They then relaxed on the portable folding chairs they set up on the front stone platform in front of the Krazoa face on the Ocean Force Point Temple.  Misty and I swam a little more, then we rinsed off under that same waterfall, and we dried off, and sat in portable folding chairs next to Todd and Lola's chairs.  We watched the cove beaches, where Fox, Krystal, Falco, and Katt were on one team, and Akasha, Kylie, Tigress, and Fara were on the other team, as they all played beach volleyball.

Tigress' side was winning.  That Tigress was some athlete (still is!).  She wore a full size wetsuit, that was white with black tiger stripes.  Akasha wore a red, one piece, racer back swimsuit, Kylie wore jammer trunks like mine, but his were black with a blue stripe, mine were black with a red stripe.

Fox wore gray swim trunks, Krystal wore a brown bikini, with white markings like that of the Suarian tribal outfit (bra and loincloth) that she wore when she and Fox had first met.  Falco wore navy blue "banana hammock" Speedos, and Katt wore a silver bikini.  They were all having fun...

Fara wore a fuschia pink one piece swimsuit.  Silas lurked in the shadows, one of his favorite things to do.  He wore black swim trunks.  Madame Vulpine wore a blood red one piece swimsuit, with a blood red sarong, as she and Conrad (who wore blue swim trunks) snuggled, and cuddled, on the stone platform where the Sharpclaw's cannon used to be.

Rud "Pal" Whetherwax, whom we called Pal, was with Fay, on the beach in front of the former Sharpclaw brig.  They were snuggling on a blanket, Fay in her gold bikini, and Pal, wearing a short white robe, as a cover up.  But then Pal gently stood up, and removed his cover up robe to reveal what he was wearing under it...he was wearing a woman's cobalt blue, iridescent one piece swimsuit, like the one Lt. Dangle wore in an episode of the TV show "Reno 911", a show on Comedy Central that lampooned the TV show "Cops".

I'm not kidding. "Oh, wow...you guys see that!?" Lola said, laughing, and pointing at Pal.  We all laughed, and said "Yeah...".  I hate to admit it, but Pal looked good in that woman's swimsuit.  Fay slapped her forehead, and rolled her eyes at Pal as he sat down next to her on the beach blanket.  "Pal's always cross dressed....throughout his childhood, Pal lived with his crazy old Uncle Niles a lot, to get away from his immediate family, who was abusive towards him.  Unfortunately, Uncle Niles raised Pal as a girl for the longest time..." Todd explained to me.  I chuckled amusingly.

Slippy wore purple swim trunks, and he was building an awesome sand castle on the beach.  Babs, who wore a chocolate brown colored one piece swimsuit, and a brown sarong, and Edge, who wore a black Long John style, sleeveless wetsuit, helped Slippy with the sand castle.  Miyu wore a purple one piece swimsuit, and a purple sarong, as she took a stroll along the wet sand of the beach, her feet just in the water.

Lola stood and stretched, her sarong billowing and flowing in the coastal breeze.  She sat down, in Todd's lap, and they cuddled.

As we all relaxed, Fox and the others who were playing volleyball finished their game, and packed up the ball, the net, and the collapsible poles, all into the carrying case duffel bag.  Todd and Lola walked off, and the others slowly left the beach, to go to their tents, Krystal's cabin, or Todd and Lola's cottage.  Misty and I had  the beach mostly to ourselves now.

Misty and I went to the edge of the beach, where the Hi Top had hidden one of his gold bars, at the water's edge...we lay next to each other in the sand, and began to make out.  I slowly, gently, unzipped Misty's wetsuit, as she slid my jammers down..."Hey, you two!  Get to the cottage, and get changed!  Fox needs us!  It's an emergency!"  Misty and I were startled by Lola, who stood before us, still in her swimsuit and sarong.  A breeze blew Lola's sarong up, and she pushed her skirt down, and we all laughed.

Misty zipped up her wetsuit zipper, and I pulled up my jammers.  We followed Lola to the cottage.

Everyone was there, including Prince Tricky, now the size of a Jeep Commander.  I took my Saurian translator off of the table in the dining room of the cottage, and Misty got hers.  We turned them on, and joined the others outside as Tricky spoke...

"...and it's getting REALLY bad!  Those damn Sharpclaw have gone too far!" Tricky said.

"We'll help you, Tricky!  As an honorary members of the Earthwalker tribe, both Lola and I will definitely be there.  I'm sure my cousin and the rest of the team will help you too.  Ah, here they are now!  Tricky, meet Misty Bluehour, and Julius Quasar!" Todd said.  Tricky turned to us.  "Hi, I'm Misty!" Misty said to Tricky.  "Hi Misty!" Tricky replied.  He turned to me.  "Hi, I'm Julius Quasar, from Planet Earth." I said to Tricky.

"HI, Julius!!! Wow, Earth....do they all look like you there?" he asked me.  "Just the ugly ones!" I said, sarcastically.  Tricky laughed, getting my joke.  The others laughed as well.  "You're not ugly, Julius!" Fox said amusingly.  But then he became serious.  "Listen up, everyone!  I know we wanted to enjoy a vacation here, but we gotta cut it short!  The other tribes here need our help, against the Sharpclaw!" said Fox.  We all said "No problem, Glad to help." in our own way to Fox.

Fox and Tricky were pleased to hear we were willing to help.  "Great!  Thanks team Star Fox!" said Tricky.  "Everyone, get changed, get prepped, and meet back here!  Tricky will fill us in on the details!" said Fox.  We all did just that.

*that's it for this chapter*

Chapter 2

I changed into my clothes, I wore combat all terrain boots, jungle camo fatigue trousers, a black tank top, and a black headband.  Misty, Madame Vulpine, Babs, and Lola each wore this and Krystal wore her tribal bra and loincloth.  Fox had his green sleeveless flight suit, and silver travel vest.  Falco wore something similar, but his flight suit was blue, Fox's was green.

Kylie wore something similar to Krystal's outfit, except no tribal bra.  Conrad wore his black, special ops. raid outfit the CIA (Cornerian Intelligence Agency) had given him.  The rest of the team wore what they usually wore.  We got our weapons ready, Krystal held her staff with pride, training and practicing with it.  We gathered around Tricky outside Todd and Lola's cottage, as the sun set.

"We're ready!" said Fox.  "Good!  We gotta make a really good plan!  The Sharpclaw are on the warpath!" said Tricky.  His voice sounded powerful, and loud, like a truck horn.  We sat around, on the stone wall, on the picnic table benches, or the garden benches, as Tricky told us the details...

The Sharpclaw had conducted multiple surprise attacks.  They had hit every tribe, and stolen something either valuable, sacred, or just generally important.  The Thorntail Tribe had nothing stolen from them, but their sacred beacons had been extinguished...again.  The Cloudrunner Tribe's 3 Energy Gems which powered their city, were stolen.  The Litefoot Tribe's Wooden Carved Blocks had all been stolen.  The Hi-Top's Gold bars, the Sacred Golden Root of the Snowhorn Tribe, The Sun and Moon Stones of the Earthwalker Tribe, all stolen as well.

Some key members of the tribe were also missing...The blue Snowhorn elder, Gradabug the engineer to the Cloudrunner city, Musclefoot of the Litefoot Tribe, and the Thorntail prince, were all missing..."I bet the Sharpclaws kidnapped 'em!" Tricky added, in disgust.  "Any idea where the Sharpclaw might have taken the stuff they stole, or the kidnap victims?" I asked.

"Yeah..their temple, it's on the end of a peninsula, far from here, at the other side of Cape Claw..." said Todd.  He had been there before. The peninsula had the Sharpclaw Tribe's marketplace, armories, barracks...and General Scales' palace, where Todd had broken into, and where Lola had saved Todd's life.

"They have a holding cell dungeon, and a vault...opening the holding cell is no problem, the drop bar over the door just needs to be moved.  The Vault, however, is locked by a custom cut key, there's only one...we'll have to keep close to General Scales, spy on him, find out where he has the key." said Lola.  She had explored the General's Palace, prior to saving Todd's life.

"General Scales was last seen on Ice Mountain, according to the Cloudrunner Tribe's scouts." Tricky said.  "Let's go to the Warpstone, in Thorntail Hollow!" said Slippy.  We all headed there.  We made it as the sun set.  It was a warm summer's night.  I smiled at Misty.  "I love those 'Red Sonja' outfits you, Lola, Babs, and Madame V. are wearing." I said to her.  Misty smiled back at me, and we exchanged a kiss.

We looked around.  There was the Warpstone, bumbling around.  We walked up to his enclosure, and he looked at us.  "We need your help, mighty Warpstone." said Fox.  "NOBODY BRINGS ME GIFTS ANYMORE!" he said to us in his deep booming voice and Scottish brogue.  Fox sighed.  "Todd, you think you could get 10 Scarabs, and go buy something for our friend, here?" Fox said.  I found a Sharpclaw basket outside the Warpstone's enclosure.  I smashed it against the rocks, and out came a Golden Scarab, worth 10 Scarabs.  I grabbed it, and Todd, whom I didn't see standing there, said "Nice job, Julius!  Let's go into the store."

***

We climbed down the wall, and entered the Thorntail Store.  The shopkeeper appeared, flaoting before us.  "Welcome to my store!  Feel free to look around, at the many items within these walls!  I sell food, special goods, and many maps...and if you like to play games,  feel free to try my scarab room.  Oh, and that's the exit.  Now, when you've found an item you want to buy, we'll discuss a price.  Is that clear?" he asked.  "YES" Todd and I replied.  "Good!  Now hurry up and choose something..." the shopkeeper said, and I interrupted him by saying "...OR GET OUT!", imitating the shopkeepers voice.

"HEY!  I say that, not you!" said the shopkeeper furiously.  Todd and I laughed.  We ran into the special goods room, and selected the piece of rock candy there.  "You pay this much!"  the shopkeeper held up his scarab pendant, displaying the amount.  10 scarabs.  I handed him the golden scarab.  "Okay, I'll sell it to you!" said the shopkeeper, putting his pendant away, and taking the scarab.  Todd and I brought the Rock Candy out of the cave, and we were just in time to see Tricky lighting the last sacred torch beacon with his flame breath.  The Thorntails all cheered.

While Todd and I were in the store, the rest of the team, and Tricky, gathered fire weeds from the fire weed tree, and re-lit the sacred beacons for the Thorntail Tribe.  "Thank you, Fox, and Tricky!" said the Thorntails.  The Mother Thorntail spoke to us all..."Fox!  You're back!  Thank you for your help! My son is still missing!  Can you help find him!" she asked.  "You bet!  We're gonna check Ice Mountain, to see what we can see...General Scales was last seen there." said Fox.

He turned and saw Todd and me, holding the rock candy.  "Ah!  There you are!  Thorntail Tribe, this is Julius Quasar, from Planet Earth.  Julius, Thorntail Tribe, Thorntail Tribe, Julius!".  The Thorntails greeted me, and asked me if it was true that Dinosaurs once lived on my planet.  I said yes, but they weren't like the Saurians.  After I was done meeting them, Fox said "Well, good job Todd and Julius. We gotta get up to Ice Mountain...but here's the thing...Everyone, listen to me, for what I have to say is VERY urgent...We can't all go up there at once...I think we should send one person up there via the Warpstone."

"One person won't attract attention...and they can sneak about unnoticed, to spy on the Sharpclaws...who wants to...?" Fox was interrupted by me "I'll do it!" I said.  "Are you sure, Julius?" Fox asked, staring dubiously at me.  "Let him go, cuz...he found the Scarab to buy the Rock Candy.  I'll loan him my jacket.  Also, the Sharpclaw don't know who he is, yet." said Todd.  "Okay..fine..Julius will go..now remember, Julius, just go up there, listen in, and then warp back here to tell us what you know. Okay?  Keep it low key." Fox instructed me.  Todd handed me a black, warm jacket.  "It's cold up there, even in the summer, Julius, and you don't have fur like us." he said to me.  "Thanks." I said, putting the jacket on me.

I nodded.  I went to the Warpstone, and handed him the Rock Candy.  "AHHH! A LOVELY SWEETIE!" he said as he ate it.  "You're like the Rock Muncher, from 'The Never-ending Story'..." I told him.  "Wha's that?" he asked me.  "A movie character from my planet, your mighty...mightyness." I said, nervously.  "He needs to get to the top of Ice Mountain." Fox said to him.  "AHH, FOX M'BOY!  GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN!  OKAY, I'LL SEND JULIUS ON HIS WAY." He turned to me, and said "BE CAREFUL, LADDIE!  ARE YOU READY TO WARP?"  I said yes, and he warped me there.  It was amazing!  I was traveling through a black wormhole, lined with beautiful purple and red shimmering streaks...I arrived on top of a warp stone pad in a cave, atop Ice Mountain.

Chapter 3

Man, it was cold atop Ice Mountain, even in the cave.  I sneaked to the edge of the cave, and I could hear voices.  The Sharpclaws!  "We just now capture Musclefoot!" one of them said.  I then heard obnoxious laughter.  "Took you long enough!  Now, I heard that those meddling Star Fox mercenaries are in the area, so look sharp, they can pose a serious problem.  Where is Musclefoot, now?" asked an unpleasant, loud voice.  General Scales!

"He's over at Moon Mountain Pass!  We caught him going for something up there!" said Bribeclaw.  "What was it!?" said General Scales.  "Me not know..." said Bribeclaw.  I moved out of the cave, slowly...I saw another cave, where a metal door was opening, and the Sharpclaw were gathered outside.  The moved into the cave, General Scales himself in the middle of his entourage of Sharpclaw.

General Scales kept talking, as I moved closer to the group to eavesdrop "I have entrusted the only key to the vault with the leader of our allies, the Redeye Tribe, who will plan a surprise attack to kidnap the Royal Earthwalkers, especially that brat, Prince Tricky!  I hate him!  RRRgh!  They will ambush the Walled City at Dawn!".  I paused when they stopped, but I moved when they moved, staying perfectly quiet at all times. They didn't notice me in that dimly lit cave.

"The first thing we'll need to do is increase security!  If that damn Star Fox Team really is here, then..." *SNAP*  Someone had stepped on a twig, and broke it, getting General Scales' attention.  It wasn't me that did it, but the Sharpclaw I was closest to, as I had moved into the cave behind them, eavesdropping on their whole conversation.

He had seen me!

"What the hell!?" he shouted.

The Sharpclaw soldiers turned around.  "WHO ARE YOU!?"  They advanced on me, surrounded me.  I screwed up my courage.  "Oh, how rude of me, my name is-" I cut my sentence short by diving between the legs of the biggest Sharpclaw soldier there, and rolled to the right of his tail.  I ran for the rocket sled in the corner.

"After him, you fools!" shouted the General.  I got onto the Rocket Sled, fired it up, and zoomed past the Sharpclaw as they dove out of the way.  I heard a clanging noise against the back of my sled, and I then heard the General howling with rage as I zoomed down the sled run.  Unfortunately, there were 2 rocket sleds pursuing me.  Four blue Sharpclaws, two on each sled, were hot on my tail. Speaking of which, I kept hearing this annoying rattle at the back of my sled, but I didn't have time to turn around and check it out.

I had to lose these guys, fast!

I kept going, going....I went through ruts, caves, sharp twists and turns, nearly hitting boulders in the middle of the run many times, but I finally made it to the bottom....

WHHHHOOOOOAAAAAAAA!

I went over the edge, and splashed in the hot spring water below me.  My rocket sled crashed into the rock wall ahead of me, and I dove out of the way as it landed where I had been.  I saw a double prong hook, stuck in the back housing frame of the seat.  I removed it.  It was General Scales' hook hand!  I searched the sled, and found a hidden compartment in the seat, containing an empty backpack.  Perfect!

I saw the two rocket sleds stop at the top, and the Sharpclaw soldiers looked down at me.  "He got the hook hand!" one of them shouted.  I ran away from them.  "He got away!" another Sharpclaw yelled.  "Uh-oh!" said another one.  The fourth one said "Boss is gonna kill us!".  I stuffed the hook hand into my backpack, and continued onward.

I ran towards a huge lava pit.  The heat dried me off.  No way was I gonna walk through a snowy wasteland, soaking wet.  I didn't want pneumonia.  I climbed down the ladder, into the pit, and ran across the stone pillar in the middle of the pit, jumped to the other side of the stone platform, and climbed the ladder on the other side, and went down to the Snowhorn Wastes...

I made my way through the wastes, I found an icy clearing, with a stone block at one end of it.  I climbed the block, and made my way further down. I passed the Snowhorn Mastodons.  They stared at me in shock, and I stared back in shock.  As I followed the crude signs, written in Saurian, I figured they'd lead me somewhere.  I came to a huge cave, blocked by the leader of the Snowhorn Tribe.  He had other Snowhorns with him.

"HALT!  Who goes there!?" he shouted at me.  I swallowed hard, and said "It is I...I mean...me, Julius Quasar, of Planet Earth, member of the Star Fox Team." I said.  "WHAAAAT!?  Star Fox!?  Fox McCloud is here!?" he asked.  "Yes sir." I said.  I then explained to him what happened.  After I finished, I held up General Scales' hook hand.  The Snowhorns all laughed, upon seeing this. "Ooh, you're gonna be in serious trouble for that!  Scales will definitely kill you!" said one of them.

"That's enough!"  The head Snowhorn said to his lieutenant.  The leader then turned to me, and said "I am Garunda Te, leader of the Snowhorn Tribe!  I appreciate what you and The Star Fox Team are doing!  Good luck!  Please rescue our elder, and the Sacred Golden Root!  Speaking of which, you should dig two Alpine roots up before you go, and feed them to our elder, so he will have the strength to make it back here on his own."

I dug up 2 Alpine Roots, and put them in my backpack, with the General's hook hand.  "Good boy, Julius!  Now, this cave here can take you back to Thorntail Hollow!  Your friends must be worried sick about you!"  I nodded, and the Snowhorn Tribe bade me goodbye and good luck, and I thanked them and headed back to Thorntail Hollow.  I avoided the flaming bats, swam the water channels, and then ran out to the cave, exited Snowhorn wastes, and I entered Thorntail Hollow.

I climbed down the ladder, ran past the well, and headed towards the hollow.  "Guys!" I'm back!"  Tricky, the Thorntail Tribe, and the Star Fox Team ran towards me.  "Julius! Julius! Where were you!?" they asked.  I told them what had happened.  I showed them the hook hand.  They all laughed. "Aw, man, I'm sure he's pissed!" said Falco.  Krystal giggled "That's just too funny!".  "Awesome, Julius!" said Todd.  Lola laughed, and said "Scales is gonna kill you, even though it's his own fault what happened with his hook hand..." and Misty said "I wish I had been there to see it!".  "Me, too!" Slippy said, agreeing with Misty.

I told them of the Sharpclaw Tribe's plan.  They gasped.  "I gotta go back to the Walled City and warn my tribe!" Tricky said.  "We gotta rescue Musclefoot!" said Akasha.  "We gotta hit the Sharpclaw Fortress, after getting the key away from the Redeye King!" said Tigress.  We all quickly worked on a plan.  We'd rescue Musclefoot from Moon Mountain Pass, go with Tricky to the Walled City, evacuate the Earthwalker to safety, steal the key from the Redeye King, and ...we would then raid the Sharpclaw fortress, all before dawn.

***

"Lightfoot Tribe will help you, if you help Lightfoot Tribe!" said the chief.  We had traveled to the Lightfoot Village, and I had been introduced by Fox to the Lightfoot Chieftain.  The Lightfoot Soldiers gathered around us.  "We know a secret passage into Sharpclaw fortress, but we only tell you, if you help get Musclefoot back!" said a female Lightfoot.

"I'll do it!" I said.  "Now, wait, Julius, I think you've..." Fox said, but Todd interrupted him "If he wants to do it, let him!" he said.  "Shut up, Todd!" said Tigress.  "You shut up, Tigress!" said Lola.  "All of you shut up!  Listen, we're all going, as a team.  We'll go to Moon Mountain Pass, and get Musclefoot..." said Fox.

We headed out to Moon Mountain Pass, and we walked over the wind chasm.  There was a large arched stone bridge erected over the gap.  Fox had told us that originally, you used to fall down the chasm, and have to make the right turn through one of the two side holes in the chasm shaft, and get blown out of another chasm shaft by stronger winds, and hope not to wind up back on the same side of the chasm you had started from.

We headed into the eerie Moon Mountain.  So weird, yet so...beautiful, it was.  We went around the twists and turns. "STOP!" Fox held us back.  He looked through his scanners.  "I see Musclefoot....he's at the gate...the Sharpclaws are holding him on either side, and they're beating him!  We gotta go, now!  Edge, Conrad!  Get your sniper rifles...." Fox whispered.

As Edge and Conrad set their rifles up, Fox, Krystal, Todd, Lola, Misty, and I made our way up the edge of the valley, towards the gates.  Sure enough, Musclefoot was there, on his knees, as the Sharpclaw beat him with their spiked clubs.  "You tell us what you doing here!  NOW!" said the Sharpclaws to Musclefoot.

*ZAP*

Conrad, or Edge, one of them anyways, fired a shot from their laser sniper rifles, killing one of the Sharpclaws.  Another and another shot rang out, killing the other Sharpclaws.  "Now!  Go!" Fox shouted, and we helped Musclefoot up.  We helped him limp down the valley, and as we were escaping, we heard more Sharpclaws shouting and snarling at us.

We heard thumping noises, and saw exploding barrels being launched from the gates at us.  We moved as fast as we could, and made it to the bottom, as Conrad and Edge finished packing up their rifles.  We all got out of there, and back to Lightfoot Village.

The Lightfoot cheered at seeing Musclefoot home.  "Well done, Star Fox Team.  We help you raid the Sharpclaw Fortress, when you ready, we show you secret back entrance to the fortress we find long ago!" said the Chief.  "Thanks!  We gotta go help Tricky and the Earthwalkers." said Fox. "Good luck!" said the Chief, and the other Lightfoot Tribesfolk.

Chapter 4

We made our way to the Walled City, with the help of the Malestrom (Todd's ship), and the Snakefang (Silas' ship), and we landed there in twenty minutes.  We all got out, and ran to the pyramid in the center, and met the King and Queen Earthwalker, along with the other Earthwalkers.  After Fox introduced me to them, we discussed the past events that happened since Tricky had found us.  When we were done, the Earthwalkers were rolling on the ground, laughing, when I showed them General Scales' hook hand.

"You really did get his hook hand!" the King Earthwalker commented.  "What are you gonna do with it?" asked another Earthwalker.  "I dunno yet." I replied.  "Save it, for now...it might come in handy." said the Queen Earthwalker.  I nodded in agreement.

Fox and the rest of the team laughed, along with everyone else.  "Okay, now let's get serious.  We need to go to the chamber of the King Redeye, and get that vault key.  I assume that when the Sharpclaw stole the sun and moon talismans, they also stole the gold and silver dragon statues' teeth, right?" said Fox.  "Correct you are, Fox...they sneaked past our guards, and did just that with the teeth and the talismans.  But they were stupid enough to hide the teeth in the same places as before.  You know what to do to open the door to that underground chamber don't you?  You also know how to find those teeth, right?" asked the King Earthwalker.

"Yeah, I remember...I can save some time though.  Todd, you and Lola place sensor bombs on the pads next to the temple fire pits.  Each of you then throw a pebble at the sensor bomb to detonate it, and 2 Earthwalkers can run that gauntlet, and light the sacred fire pit when you reach it.  That will open the sun and moon door over the entrance to the Redeye King's lair.  Akasha, you can run the course through the city moat, and get the Silver Dragon Tooth, using Kylie's staff to pick the lock.  I'll go with Krystal, up to that building up there, and we'll use her staff to pick the lock on the box up there, and get the Gold Dragon Tooth.  There's no Death Barrier blocking it like before.  We'll put the teeth back into the Dragon Statues, and then go below to fight the Redeye King." said Fox.

"RIGHT!" we all said.  We got two Earthwalkers to help out with lighting the sacred fire pits.  Todd and Lola set up the sensor bombs....

*BOOM!*  *BOOM!*

They detonated the bombs, and the fire pits rose up from their platforms.  The 2 Earthwalkers ran the gauntlets, and lit the fire pits with their flame breaths.  The sun and moon on the door to the underground Redeye King's lair lit up, and the door slid open.

Meanwhile, Akasha triggered the timed running course, and in a record breaking dash, the fast little Smoke Persian kitty set a new record for beating the timed course, as Kylie stood outside the locked gate of the room containing the Sharpclaw locking box, which held the Silver Dragon Tooth. When the gate opened, after Akasha passed through the last ring, Kylie went into that room, opened the Sharpclaw lock box, and got the Sliver Dragon Tooth.

They came back, we had watched Akasha run all that way, and congratulated her and Kylie.  Fox and Krystal congratulated Akasha and Kylie as well.  They had seen the whole thing from up on the hill where they had recovered the Gold Dragon Tooth, which they now held.  We all went down into the entrance to the chamber, and placed the teeth into the Dragon Statues, the silver tooth in the blue statue, the gold tooth into the red statue.  The gate slowly opened.

"We're all going in there, breaking up into groups, and taking one of four corners each in the Redeye King's run.  We'll each take a grenade, and throw it at the Redeye King's head once he's fallen.  Someone in the group needs to stand on the activation pad, to shock the Redeye King, and make him fall.  Once you've hit him, we all run, and take turns rotating from corner to corner, and hitting one shock pad after the other, to get this done quickly.  Watch out, he might change direction, so we need to stay alert to his movements.  Okay?" said Fox.  "RIGHT!" we replied.

We went down there.

I was in the same group as Misty, Todd, Lola, Akasha, and Kylie.  The others took the remaining 3 corners.  We heard the Redeye King exit his chamber.

"RRRRAAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRRR!"

That sound haunts me to this day.

The Redeye King stood at the end of the corridor from us, roaring at us.  His body was massive, bigger than a tour bus, if you stood it on end, his massive, boxy head had a spellstone shaped dent in the forehead area.  A key hung around his neck on a thick rope.  He came towards us.  "Julius, stand on that button, charge up the electricity....NOW!" Kylie said, waiting for the right moment.  He had time it right, and I shocked the Redeye King.  He crashed to the floor, and Misty threw the grenade at his head.  *BOOM!*

"Got him!" Akasha said into the communicator.  We ran down the corridor, as the other groups ran down the corridor. We stopped when we found where the floor buttons rose up for us to activate the electric shockers.  We repeated the actions, and this time the team opposite the corridor end from us hurt the Redeye King.  The Redeye King changed direction, and ran the other way, as we rotated the other way.

"Dun-dun, dun-duuun, Da-da-da-da-da-da-da!  Heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh-heh!  Heh-heh-heh, heh-heh!"  I sang, imitating Peter Griffin in a Family Guy episode, when he was making a film of a dinosaur eating Quagmire, to help Quagmire fake his death.  "Was that from Jurassic Park?" Todd asked me.  "Well, that, and Family Guy lampooning it, sort of..." I replied.  Fox's team and the team opposite the corridor from his team floored the Redeye King with the shockers, and hit him in the head with grenades, and we defeated the Redeye King!

We cut the rope around his neck, and got that key.  We exited his chamber, and Fox held it high as the Earthwalkers cheered.  "We have to evacuate this city!  The Redye are planning a surprise attack at dawn, and you'll have to take cover at a safe haven." said Fox.  "We'll move to Thorntail Hollow.  However, I will supply you with an army of Earthwalkers as reinforcements, when you raid the Sharpclaw Palace." said the King Earthwalker.  "Thank you, your majesty!" said Fox.

"We'll help, too!" said a female voice above us.  The Queen Cloudrunner, and her battalion of Royal Soldiers flew above us, circling, then landing in various places on the temple steps.  "Hi!  Great to see you all!" Krystal said.  "Hi, Krystal!" said Kite.  "Hello, Kite." said Krystal.  The Queen Cloudrunner turned to look at me.

"Are you the one that stole the hook hand off that infernal General Scales?" she asked me.  "I'm Julius Quasar, of Planet Earth, your royal...royalness..." said nervously, taking the hook hand from my backpack and showing it to the Cloudrunners, and again to the Earthwalkers.  They all laughed.  "Kite saw what you did on Ice Mountain, Julius." the Queen Cloudrunner said to me.

I quickly explained to the Cloudrunners what had happened.  They found it hilarious.  "Well, now that we've got the key, warned the Earthwalkers, all we have to do is evacuate the Walled City, then meet up with the Litefoot Tribe, and plan a surprise attack on the Palace.  The Litefoot know a secret way to the palace." said Falco.

"That's great, because the main road to the Palace is heavily guarded.  And there's only one way in, and one way out, other than this 'secret entrance' the Litefoot Tribe claim to know of...I'm sure they're right about it, though..." said Kite.  "Yeah, they were right about the Krazoa Mound in their village." said Fox.

"Okay then.  Let's do what we have to do, and we'll all meet up in 2 hours." said the head of the Royal Cloudrunner Battalion.  "Two Hours it is. " said the Earthwalker General.  We all agreed, and in two hours, the Earthwalker Tribe was safely hiding in Thorntail Hollow, except for the Earthwalker soldiers, who, with the Cloudrunner Soldiers, and the Litefoot Soldiers, met us at the edge of the Sharpclaw peninsula.

Chapter 5

The Litefoot Army arrived.  Their leader, a Litefoot with two blue markings on his body, greeted us.  "Hey Fox!  Good to see you again!  Musclefoot have to sit this one out, at Chief's insistence.  He hurt too bad to fight.  Musclefoot say he sorry." said the Litefoot.  "It's okay.  Tell him we hope he feels better soon." said Fox.  The Litefoot nodded.  "Come!  We show you secret entrance to Sharpclaw Palace!" he said.  We all made our way down the peninsula's rocky coastline...we arrived to the secret entrance, an opened sewage tunnel, where the metal bars had been broken away, perhaps by Musclefoot.

"This take you into the Palace!" said the head Litefoot.  "Where does it lead?" asked Katt.  "It take you into dungeon corridor.  There is prison on one side, treasure room on other side." said another Litefoot.  "Okay...Star Fox Team, Litefoot Tribe, you take the secret entry into the Palace.  We'll provide air recon and support.  The Earthwalkers can provide support outside the Palace to provide protection from reinforcements!" said the Cloudrunner General.

"Right!  We'll take cover in the foliage around the Palace!  Luckily for us, the Sharpclaw are too lazy to trim the growth out there!  The foliage is also too dense and wet for them to burn!" replied the Earthwalker General.  "Okay....we need to be out of here before dawn, okay?  We don't want the Redeye to arrive at the Walled City, only to find it empty, and figure out what's going on with the Earthwalkers,  If they were to show up as additional reinforcements, it could jeopardize this mission." Fox added.

"Let's do this!" said Todd.  "We need to get in there, take the treasure, release the prisoners, get out of there the way we came, and cover the Snowhorn Elder and those who are rescuing him as we cut off the enemy's ability to pursue us.  We can get into the rear courtyard where they have the Snowhorn Elder, and Julius can feed him those Alpine Roots.  The Snowhorn Elder can break open the gates.  Meanwhile, the Litefoot can provide backup, the Cloudrunners can provide recon and diversion, the Eathwalkers can cover our escape!" said Lola.  We all nodded.  The Earthwalkers went back up to the foliage outside the front of the Palace.  The Cloudrunners circled the sky above us.  We moved, with the Litefoots, into the sewer....

We trudged through the sewers....fortunately, they were dry.  We came to a round spot of light with several small squares in it.  A sewer drain!  Several voices wafted down from it..."If ever I get my hand on that blasted Julius Quasar, I'll kill him!  He has no idea how hard it is to obtain a hook hand!  Rrgh!".  General Scales!  He knew who I was!  Everyone stared at me, the Litefoot Tribe fought down laughter.

"What we do about the Redeye?  If they not here to help us, we leave Palace vulnerable!  The Redeye too far away to come back to help us!" said another Sharpclaw.    "That's why it's a 'surprise raid', you fool!" shouted General Scales.  The voices faded away.  All was quiet.  "How we get up there?" asked a Litefoot.  We stand on each others backs, stupid!" said another Litefoot.

They did just that, with Fox donning his Sharpclaw hologram disguise, to scope out the area first.  "All clear!" Fox said to us.  We climbed up on the Litefoot Tribes stack of soldiers, who stayed behind in the sewer tunnel to cover the prisoners who would escape through there.  We were in the dungeon now, and we could see the locked vault door at one end, and the locked prison door at the other end.  "Lola, Todd, keep watch!  I'll unlock the vault, you Litefoots can get your wooden block carvings, and Falco, Edge, Katt, Akasha, Madame Vulpine, and Misty can get the other items.  The rest of us will release the prisoners." said Fox.

Tigress helped us lift the heavy drop bar off of the prison door.  We opened it, and found a round room on the other side, surrounded by arch doorway barred cells.  The Thorntail Prince and Gradabug, were each in a cell.  The other cells were empty.  I saw a ring of keys hanging on a wall hook, and used them to stick in the keyholes next to the cell doors, and the bars lowered into the floor.

"Thanks you!" said Gradabug, and the Thorntail Prince.  "You're welcome.  C'mon, we're getting you out of here!" said Fox. We headed back into the main dungeon corridor.  I went into the now open vault, and watched as the Litefoot gathered up the wooden block carvings, and my teammates got the Golden Root,  the 4 Gold Bars, and the 3 Energy Gems.  Lola placed the 3 Energy Gems in a net bag she found in the corner, and Misty placed the 4 Gold Bars into a backpack, which she handed to Edge.  Akasha took the Sun and Moon Stones.

I stepped out of everyone's way as they passed me.  Falco handed me the Golden Root.  "Here, make yourself useful, and take this, will ya'?" he asked me.  "You can give it to that Snowhorn after you feed him." he added.  I took the root, and placed it in my backpack, after removing the hook hand from it, and placing that hook hand under my belt.

Lola gave Gradabug the net bag with the energy gems in it.  "Thank you, my dear." he said to her.  He jumped down through the hole, Edge went next, and so did the other Litefoots.  "Uh, guys?  The Thorntail Prince can't fit though the hole!" said Slippy.

"Damn!  Well...I'll stay here, and ride the Thorntail Prince, covering his back....literally, as he escapes...Lola, you go with Julius, guide through the sewer tunnel to the rear courtyard where the Snowhorn Elder is.  When you both get there, go back out with the others.  Julius, you need to get into that yard, feed the Snowhorn Elder, and ride him out of there, and have him break down the doors leading out of the dungeon, to the main courtyard, and I'll ride the Thorntail Prince out of here, and we'll ride alongside Julius and the Snowhorn Elder.  If any of you Litefoot want to come with us, I'd appreciate it!" said Todd.

A dozen Litefoots volunteered.  Great.  "Sounds like a plan, cousin." said Fox.  The others left, out the sewers.  Lola led me to the next sewer drain, under the rear courtyard.  "Good luck, Julius!  Be careful." she said, kissing me on the cheek.  I smiled as she ran off to join the others.  Then I looked up at the drain to see the edge of a big wooly blue ear.  "Psst!  Hey, you!" I whispered.  I heard someone grunt "What?".

"Down here!  If you open the drain grill, and lift me out of the sewer, I'll give you two Alpine Roots!" I said to the Snowhorn Elder.  A large blue hairy trunk opened the sewer grill, and I handed it an Alpine Root, and then another one after hearing a *CHOMP!* and a *BURP!*.  I heard one more *CHOMP!* and another *BURP* and then "Ahh...that's better!".  The blue trunk pulled me out of the sewer, and I was now on the back of the Snowhorn Elder.

"I got your Golden Root in my backpack.  If you can bust out of here, then bust open the doors to the dungeon, over in the main courtyard, then break down the gates, you can have the Golden Root back." I told him.  "DEAL!" he replied.  He walked across the courtyard, and the Sharpclaw on the ledges shouted at us, and tried to call for help.  But, the Cloudrunners dived down, and burned the Sharpclaws with fire breath attacks, making the Sharpclaws fall off the walls.

The Snowhorn Elder rammed the gates to the rear courtyard open, then he turned, walked over to a corner of the main courtyard, and rammed the wooden doors to the dungeon open.  "YAAAAHHH!".  Out came Todd, a dozen Litefoots, and the Thorntail Prince.  The Cloudrunners still covered us all, with their dive and fire breath attacks.  The Litefoots lifted the drop bar off of the gates, and the Thorntail Prince snapped it in half, smacking it with his tail.

The Litefoot opened the gates, as Todd fired his hyper laser assault rifle at the pursuing Sharpclaws.  The Litefoot ran out the gates, Todd and the Thorntail Prince folowed, and I rode out last, on top of the Snowhorn Elder, as the Cloudrunners still covered us.  Once we were all outside the Palace, the Litefoot Tribe slammed the gates shut. I took the hook hand of General Scales, and said "Hey!  Take this hook hand, and jam it into the gate handles!" I said to the Snowhorn Elder.

He did just that.  The Sharpclaws rattled the gates and grunted in frustration, unable to understand why the gates wouldn't open for them.  "We could've used a stick for that!" said Todd, noticing.  "Yeah, but I wanna send General Scales a message." I replied.  Todd, the Thorntail Prince, the Snowhorn Elder, the Litefoots, the Cloudrunners, who now joined us outside the Palace, the Earthwalkers, who emerged from their hiding positions and joined us, and the dozen Litefoots who had escorted us out of there, all laughed.

We made our way off of the peninsula, the Earthwalkers fended off the Sharpclaws in the Sharpclaw city on the peninsula.  The Cloudrunners helped us with their continuing air support, having pulled out of the air space over the Palace.  We were now regrouped with the others who had left the sewers, and were running along with us.  My Teammates were riding the backs of the Earthwalkers,  Krystal rode on Kite the Cloudrunnner, Gradabug rode on the back of the Cloudrunner General.

We finally got off the peninsula, and arrived back at Cape Claw, as the sun rose.

^ lol. At first, I was like, That's it? Then I saw "more to come". But besides me being blind, I think it's a great start to the chapter.

Folks, I'm sorry to cut this story short, and to change the name, but we're almost done with this story (but not the series of Julius Quasar and Star Fox fanfics I've written.)  I changed the name and the main plot of the story, I'll explain later.

This fanfic is now known as:

Sauria's Plight (F.K.A. Epiphany...)
