Chapter 6

Everyone was cheering and celebrating, as we reached the beach.  But I felt uneasy.  I grabbed a conch shell and blew it like a horn, and everyone quieted down.  "Everybody, we can't celebrate just yet!  The Cloudrunners need to get back to their fortress, but it will be too dangerous for them to go back there, at least without our help!  We need to ready our personal craft, and protect the Cloudrunners from that flying Galleon of General Scales!

Also, we need to do an air raid against the Walled City, and drive out the Redeye Tribe, the Walled City must be overrun with them by now!  It's a good thing we evacuated it earlier!"  I said.  "Julius is right!  This is far from over!" said Krystal.  Fox turned to the Litefoot Tribe  "You guys can go, now, if you want to.  Thanks for all your help." he said.  "No problem, Fox!  We take wooden carvings back to Village now!  Thanks for you help!  Bye bye!" said the Litefoot with the blue markings on his body.

The Litefoot left.  "Can you guys escort the Snowhorn Elder back home?" I asked the Earthwalker General.  "Sure!  We can go back to Thorntail Hollow afterward, and wait there!" he replied.  I took the Sacred Golden Root out of my backpack, and gave it to the Snowhorn Elder.  "Here, sir!" I said to him.  "Thank you, Julius!  And thank all of you for your help!" he wheezed.  We bade him goodbye, and he bade us goodbye, he took his Golden Root, and left, with the Earthwalkers protecting him.  "Thanks, all of you!  I appreciate what you've done!  Todd told me you've re-lit the Sacred Beacons, I and my Tribe appreciate that!" croaked the Thorntail Prince.  He joined the Earthwalkers and the Snowhorn Elder as they left.

All that remained were the Cloudrunners.  "We'll escort you back to the Cloudrunner Fortress!" Fox told them.  "Thanks, Fox!  Thank you, Star Fox Team.  We appreciate all your help!" said Gradabug.  "No problem.  Everyone!  Get into your personal fighters, and we'll escort our friends home!" said Fox.  We did just that.  Ten minutes later, we were flying with the Cloudrunners back to their fortress.

As we made our way through the morning sky, I saw something coming out of the sun.  It was the Sharpclaw Galleon!  He was coming from the direction of the sun to confuse us!  With the sun at his back, he would be harder to see.  "Guys!  The Galleon's coming from the sun!  Get the Cloudrunners out of here, I'll hold off General Scales!" I said over the comm channel.  "I'll help!" said Misty, from her ship.  "Me too!" said Todd.

"Some of us can hold off Scales!  The rest of us can get the Cloudrunners home!" said Pal.  Todd, Lola, Pal, Misty, Madame Vulpine, Edge, Babs, Silas, Conrad, Akasha, Fara, Fay, Miyu, and I turned and attacked the Galleon, as Fox and the rest of the team, along with the Cloudrunners, disappeared into the distance.  That galleon was HUGE!  It was a hideous, wooden ship with a dragon face, fireball spitting figurehead on the front, and 2 dragon cannons on the back, with a 4 barbed propeller on the lower bottom of it.

The sails were massive, blocking out the sun as the ship got closer.  We attached it with lasers, nova bombs, and avoided the attacks the Galleon threw at us.  We destroyed the propeller, blasted the rear cannons, wrecked the dragon figurehead, and blasted the mast, causing the ship to fall from the sky and crash into the mountains, far away in the middle of nowhere.  We cheered, and told Fox the good news.

"Great job, team!  The Cloudrunners are home, safe!  Now we'll regroup with you, and we can raid the Walled City!" said Fox.  "Those Redeye pricks don't stand a chance!" bragged Falco.  We changed course, as Fox and the others joined us.  We headed to the Walled City...

The Redeye were everywhere, looking for the Earthwalkers.  We flew in, low, keeping the sun at our backs..."FIRE!" said Fox.  We blasted the Redeye Tribe, one after the other.  Those that weren't killed, fled into the canyons.  Unfortunately, two thirds of them got away, including the Redeye King himself.  But we had reclaimed the Walled City.

After we returned to Thorntail Hollow, and told the Earthwalkers the good news, they thanked us, and told us the Snowhorn Elder and his Golden Root were both back in Snowhorn Wastes.  The Earthwalkers returned to the Walled City, where we landed and talked with them.  Akasha gave them the sun and moon stones, and they were very grateful. "I can't thank you all enough, for what you've done!" said Tricky.  "Without you, Star Fox Team, we would've been massacred!" said an Earthwalker.  "And we, the Royal Earthwalkers, would have been taken prisoner by the Sharpclaw!" said the Earthwalker King.  "We also would not have succeeded in recovering our Sun and Moon Stones, or our home!" said the Earthwalker Queen.

"It was our pleasure!" we told them in response.

We had a bonfire on the shores of Cape Claw to celebrate that night, and many of the Tribe's leaders, soldiers and representatives were there.  It was our last night before we were to leave, and return home for duty.  We had a lot of fun, we ate specialty dishes made by the tribes, Grubtub Mushrooms aren't so bad, to be honest.  Edge returned the 4 Gold Bars to the chief Hi-Top at Cape Claw, and he thanked us for recovering them.

After the bonfire wound down, we packed up our things, broke camp, put away the tents, cleaned up, double checked, and locked up Todd and Lola's cottage, as well as Krystal's cabin, we bade the Tribes farewell, and we left, just after sunset.  We made it back to the Great Fox, and headed towards Corneria.

"That was some fun, huh?" Fox asked us.  "Yeah!  You bet!  I'll say!" we replied.  We had won.  "Well, I'm glad you guys didn't mind cutting the vacation short to help the Tribes of Sauria like that, I'll make sure to treat us all to something really special next time!" said Fox.  We all cheered.

Back on Corneria, after we landed, and put everything away, everyone and everything was all present and accounted for, and we were back in our own private homes on Corneria, Misty and I relaxed in my house.  "Misty, I have a surprise for you!" I said to her, taking out a dark blue velvet storage box.  Misty opened it.  Inside were all the Blood Diamonds, now fashioned into platinum jewelry, just for her.  Misty squealed in delight, trying every piece of the jewelry on.  She loved it.

"Thank you so much, Julius!" she said, kissing me.  "One more thing.....for someday..." I said, taking out a small velvet box.  Misty gasped.  I had taken the biggest Blood Diamond, and put it on a platinum ring.  "I know the laws ban 'fur and skin' marriages, but that may change someday...I want you to marry me when that day comes!" I told her.  Misty tried on the ring, placed it back in the ring box, put her jewelry back into its box, and kissed me.

"I hope that day comes...." she said to me, before putting the jewelry away in the safe in my...our, basement.  I smiled, as she joined me in bed, ten minutes later.  We were glad to have been through so much together, and we were glad to go though more together, be it on Corneria, Cerinia, or Sauria....anywhere, for that  matter, as long as we went through it together, and survived...we couldn't wait to see what the future had in store for us, and for Team Star Fox.
