Fureox
I say, get Adventures first, then Assault, then Monster Hunter 3. I really encourage you to play Adventures before you play Assault so that it feels like you're continuing the Star Fox story, instead of going back in time and playing Adventures after Assault. Then Monster Hunter 3 just because the Monster Hunter series is awesome and this one is going to have online features :D

Fureox
Yeah that's cool too. I really just want to stress that playing Adventures before Assault is better than the other way around. Of course, that's just my opinion. Some people like playing more recent games first then going back to the games that led up to the one they started on. Steve
Red Steel 2 doesn't have too much replay value, so you are better just renting that game for a weekend (I'm planning to do that), Grinder...for what I know, won't be coming out in a while. Starfox games, well, you can probably get them really cheap so, go for them, and moster hunter tri seems like a solid choice as well. If you want more fun for your buck, then go for the starfox games, ebay or any other online store will have them really cheap.

Steve
Alright, I'm not biased soo. Adventures is short, easy, predictable and cheesy, you are better picking up Assault first if you want something like starfox 64 (or just buy starfox 64 on the virtual console), however, without considering the costs, I would go for Red steel 2, but like I said, you are better picking this one used or just rent it, it doesn't have too much replay value. Mr. Foxer
Don't get any of them, they're all horrible, trust me. Also you don't have WiFi?
Geo Stelar
For me, I think you should probably get Assault. One of the best action flying games on GameCube. Also, one of the best games in the series.Well, all of us here can't force you on which game you'll buy... it will be your choice in the end. You don't want regretting what you bought just because one of us here said so and voted for.
CrypticQuery
Easily Assault. It will have you playing non-stop, its just THAT fun! Gameplay is addicting, story is good, and the only thing that may take away from this game is the length. And for $15 at most game stores, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG! X-Gamer
Assualt if you want to play awesome mix of action, adventure and just pure skill. Adventures to stay in flow with the SF storyline, then get Assualt. All the other games, I dunno how it is so I can't say.
