Mr. Krystal
I'm currently up late, working on an assignment. I'm watching "The Most Extreme" on Animal Planet. This is the episode about the most extreme oddities. Anyways, during "Number 3," you'll never believe what music was playing in the background. The EXACT music from the Krazoa Palace in Adventures. Guess Rare didn't do their own music. Edit: This episode comes on again November 7th at 3 AM. I'll try to be up to record it.

Mr. Krystal
Got it! Check it out. http://www.dwightdesign.com/temp/musicThatShouldntBeThere.mp3 Okay, so it isn't EXACTLY the same. This version uses flutes or something similar for the extra instruments. The Starfox Adventures version uses Harps, horns, and voices. But the background is obviously from the same source. james mccloud
HOLY FRIGGIN KRAP DUDE!!! Thats so AWESOME!!! Wow... I cant beleive that. I wonder if rare knows about this. hmmmm.... Maybe it was a really old song from a differnet country and they both just decided to use it! YAAAAAAAAAAAAYYY Im SMART!!!
XG Fox
Whaaaaaat??? That's so weird! I don't know if I've seen that exact episode or not, but still... good find there! :x
Jaith
It sounds a hell of a lot similer though I don't think it's the same song for Krazoa Palace... (is listenning to it now)

(is listenning to it now) Yes, like I said, it's based on the same baseline piece (probably bought in a huge pack of prebuilt music to which both the show and Rare added to make them more unique). That show, "The Most Extreme," uses lots music I've heard from elsewhere. The song that they play when they do the 3D animations is the EXACT song that comes with my DVD burning software (one of the themes).

Conall Drest
Man I love the Krazoa palace theme. It is one of the few songs that reminds me of Krystal. If I ever make a video game starring Shawn that will be one of the music themes for one of the temples.
EvolutionSFox
Actually, I think it's a mere co'inkidink due to all the music thats going around in the world... this was made like, in Japan?
DZComposer
Rare did not use Canned music in SFAd. They had a composer, David Wise. One reason it sounds alike is that I am pretty sure they used the same sample library: Peter Siedlaczek's Advanced Orchestra (Which Wise admitted to using in SFAd in an interview. He later said that Rare now uses VSL, which is a truly amazing library that I'll never be able to afford ). Advanced Orchestra is a midrange library by today's standards, and can be found at a good price, though you still need Gigastudio to use it. Similarities happen all the time in music. This is a classic example: Listen the the opening of the 4th movement of Dvorak's 5th Symphony ("New World") and then listen to the theme from JAWS.

We can count on you, DZComposer, to sort out our music mysteries! Edit: Huh! Only $193 bucks (http://eastwestsamples.com/details.php?cd_index=420), not bad. DZComposer
That's the Roland version. Useless unless you have a specific line of Roland synthesizer. The price changes when you get to the good formats: http://eastwestsamples.com/details.php?cd_index=22 (likely the version Rare used) If seen that version for a much better price elsewhere, though. ( http://www.soundsonline.com/sophtml/details.phtml?sku=BS-228_V1-5 [oddly enough, from the same company O.o]) It sounds nice in many areas, though the brass (as SFAd showed) leaves some to be desired. GPO has better sounding brass, IMO. And GPO's brass ain't great either. I don't use Giga, though. I use Kontakt. http://www.projectsam.com/libraries_ext.html#6 <-- This is yummy. I have the horns already, but I have an early version that doesn't work well with Kontakt. The new versions work with it though. I need $500....
