Alright, some facts to make a successful thread :

1.- Don't make new threads about every random idea you get or every happening in your life, that gets annoying and other people will probably not be interested (if the idea is good and developed enough, then sure)

2.-Don't break the rules (duh)

3.-Quality before quantity, it's better to have a low post count and a lot of praise than having a high post count and low praise by others. If you are posting on an important topic, be serious, going "do a barrel roll!  " or  trying to act cool and stuff like that IS annoying for some people.

4.- Longevity of the threads can vary, if you want to ask people about something, then the longevity might be short , and that's fine, but if you want to debate, then make sure to pick something most people here would like.

5.-Most importantly, know your audience, if no one knows about what you are talking about, then no one will post.

6.- You need to let the topic die if there's simply nothing else to talk, keeping a topic just because it's yours is heavily inappropriate and selfish, let the staff lock the topic if everyone is done with it

7.-Finally, grammar is your friend.

Be careful as to which forum you post your topic.

The staff hate to have to move a topic to the proper board.

I agree. Grammar are your friend. Spellhing is good too.

Going back on the serious note, avoid unnecessary topics or posts. (I.e. Steve sounds like a cool name.) I mean, what kind of topic would that be? Who would care about that topic? Those are annoying. Also, think before thou speaks. Think about if people would enjoy discussing this topic or would it just become flamebait.

Well, I think I have an idea to make a good, durable, and a long-lasting thread.

Make sure you're gonna do a topic that is very interesting. Something that will make users come back everyday and see the new posts, reply, then come back again the next day. Something that will make users come back for more and share their ideas.

Another thing to take note is how you reply. You must post a reply that is related to the topic, but will also catch more users' attentions, which will make them post in your topic.

This is not a pointless topic, he is looking for a way to become a better poster, something most of you kiddos should do as well. So don't put him down.

We know. We're just joking. Sorry Wierdoutinfo. Anyway, I agree with Landwing totally. Hooking an audience is a great way to keep a topic alive.

Also: Never, ever, make a thread if you know that is going to cause trouble.

You might think that it is funny, but it might get you banned, phearps permanently.

Example: A "I hate Krystal" topic would results in Krystal fans going mad at you, possibly igniting a flamewar, plus, the thread by itself could be considere troll by the staff.

Another example is when it is not so direct E.g.: "I hate a certain blue character" This one will possibly also make Falco fans go mad at you too, especially if you later do not clarify...

You probably know this but I just wanted to clarify...
