CrypticQuery
If you had a choice between staying on Earth, or taking an opportunity to be transformed into a furry (I dunno, some stupid plot device like that) and go to Lylat to live out your life, which would it be? I would take Lylat, I honestly can't stand Earth.
Guest DRL
I would go to Lylat and be a furry ANY-TIME!Thing with Earth is that humans are screwing it up.I mean, nature here is nice and all, but global warming is pure human cause...Maybe Lylat is not what we think it is, but still, at least I would be a furry and have a furry girlfriend

Really though, if humans never did appear, we wouldn't have internet or anything, BUUUUT the world wouldn't be such a screwed up place. If I was given one chance though, and never be able to come back, I'd probably take it.

Asper Sarnoff
I'm fine where I'm at. Being human and living on earth ain't that bad in my humble opinion. However, my desire for adventure would probably get the better of me. It would be a once in a lifetime opportunity, and despite the obvious sacrifices I'd have to make, I would do it.
Sarita
pure human cause...False. Global warming is natural and we NEED global warming to survive on this planet. Or none of the warmth would stay and we'd freeze to death.Humans just made it worse. But that's off topic, I just wanted to make that clear. X-Gamer
Stay. There's many reasons why. Excuses as easy as I'm too lazy to move or to serious ones like you never know what the dark sides of Lylat are. Who know? There might be something that know human ever knew before and can get killed from it. Just saying hypothetically.

Guest DRL
False. Global warming is natural and we NEED global warming to survive on this planet. Or none of the warmth would stay and we'd freeze to death.Humans just made it worse. But that's off topic, I just wanted to make that clear.COMPLETELY WRONG.Global Warming would not exist today were not for humans.Earth, by itself, has as self-regulating system; human destruction of nature and alteration of Earth´s ecosystemscaused it to happen. Animals do not need any "Global Warming"effect to survive - they evolved and adapted to an environment.Humans modified and/or destroyed an environment. This makes us, effectively, a virus, even if you do not like it.And as you said...But that's off topic, I just wanted to make that clear.ON TOPIC,I will risk anything to go to Lylat.Yeah, there are possible risks, like say, the Lylatians have aFlu-like virus which instantlykills humans. But, I am willing to risk that.Just being in the same systemthat my heroes live in isenough for me... Animals do not need any "Global Warming"effect to survive - they evolved and adapted to an environment.Humans modified and/or destroyed an environment. This makes us, effectively, a virus, even if you do not like it.I beg to differ, global warming is indeed, a natural circle that the earth uses to warm itself. I believe it's just a matter of being confused by the terms. Now, I googled some stuff in order to corroborate this. "Some scientists have suggested global warming is due to a natural 1,500-year cycleGlobal warming is a natural event and the effects are not all bad, two respected researchers claimed yesterday.Authors Dennis Avery and Fred Singer looked at the work of more than 500 scientists and argue that these experts are doubtful the phenomenon is caused by man-made greenhouse gases.Climate change is much more likely to be part of a cycle of warming and cooling that has happened regularly every 1,500 years for the last million years, they say."source: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-481613/Global-warming-Its-natural-say-experts.htmlNow, calling humans a virus, is a little bit harsh. If there's life outside Earth, I believe every intelligent species would learn from their mistakes, something we are "trying" to do as well. No one knows if people on Lylat went through the same, after all, if I remember well, there was a freaking ubber waste polluted planet in starfox 64. And finally, I'd rather stay here, as a human. I'd rather embrace reality than wait for a fantasy to become true.

Do not PRESUME you know what I do and do not like. I agree that we modified and destroyed the environment for our own purposes, but I (and many others) will hold that global warming is natural. Read a text book from an Environmental Science class and it will TELL YOU that global warming (and cooling for that matter) are completely natural processes that are NECESSARY for survival on ANY PLANET. The reason there is no life on other planets in our solar system is not just because they're too far or too close to the sun.And just so there's no question, I AM angry. I take my planet very seriously, and I like facts, and people that know them.

No offense, but it is you who is completely wrong on this one.Global warming is a completely natural process, and without it, there wouldn't excist life on earth. At least nothing more than some microscopic bacterias and virus. Also, saying humanity has contributed to change the fragile balance in this system is also quite the overstatement.Only 0.28 % of the greenhouse effect can be attributed to humanity and our actions. Directily and indirectlyThis doom and gloom some "scientist" are trying to spread is nothing more than a natural process, the like of which the earth has experienced countless times since its creation.People believe earth itself is constant. Nothing could be further from the truth.Moder nature walks whereever she wants, and all we can do is hang on as best we can and enjoy the ride.Okay, time to get back on topic. The climate changes the earth is undergoing now, as it has always done, is something better suited for discussion in another thread. I might end up creating one soon. Just to point it out, *why*, a planet would overheat over time? The Statistics do not lie. Just look at them. You will notice that, during the past years, the global warming effect increased as the contaminating industry did. That is why the poles are melting now - poles melting is not a natural thing... It never was.2] The only "natural" global warming we know of dates back to millions of years ago when a meteor crashed on Earth, effectively altering the environment and overheating the atmosphere. Then it happened a thing we know as the "ice age" - Earth´s self-regulating system cooled it down. 3] The last point [the human-virus thing] is personall view... Completely. There is no "right" or "wrong" there - after all, it was an opinion, not intended to be a fact (althrought it might be a fact). Now, I suggest to everyone goes back On-Topic. Steve
Dude, really, you just need to read. Seriously, read. There are two kinds of global warming, the one that is natural from earth, which is earths own process to be "ok" and the second one is the unnatural global warming, which is caused by contamination and fumes and stuff like that. Global warming IS increasing because us ,humans, but that doesn't mean WE created it. Again, you claim the earth has it's own self regulating system to warm itself, well, that's right, thing is, it's called "Global Warming" the NATURAL one.You can't expect people to go back on topic if you are debating on something in where you are wrong or miss-leaded. And finally, you can't expect people to be ok if you say "humans are a virus" it's like if I go "Krystal/Starfox sucks", you will get annoyed by that.
