Ris smirked.  "Ah, so you -did- hear that."  Figuring that the wolf wasn't a threat, the teenager slid his hands into his pockets.  "Nah, I live here.  Good ol' Corneria.  And with the whole cop thing, don't worry about it.  They just consider me--"  Taking his hands out of his pockets again, he made quotation marks in the air with the first two fingers of each hand.  "A public nuisance.  They don't like what I do for fun, but hey, I've gotta do something, right?"

The Black Soviet had been following Steve.

He appeared into the rooftop like a ghost,

literally not even his engine made a sound.

He scanned both Steve and the arctic fox.

"You do not pay your fines" said the ship,

trying to sound casual.

"They don't like what you do for fun", Steve repeated, looking at the fox curiously. "What do you do for fun?"

His ear twitching in response to the sudden appearance of the ship, Ris returned his attention to the wolf.  "I'm a traceur, but I'm all for freerunning, too.  You know, you still haven't told me you name."

"And you still haven't told me yours."

Looking towards the ship, Ris' ear twitched a couple of times.  "Is that thing talking to us?"

After a few moments, Ris began slowly nodding, keeping his eyes on the ship.  "Umm...Do you know...it?" he asked the wolf beside him.

"He's a friend", steve said, smiling.

Looking sideways at the wolf, Ris asked skeptically, "You're friends with a sentient ship?  Seriously?"

"I consider him my friend."

Said Black Sov, rotating slightly

to Steve's direction as he spoke,

then he turned to 'face' the arctic

fox again.

Looking sideways at the wolf, Ris asked skeptically, "You're friends with a sentient ship?  Seriously?"

"Indeed", Steve said, nodding. "I expect you to act like this; This is the first time you've seen each other."

"First time we've seen each other?  Heck, this is the first time I've ever spoken to a sentient ship..." the fox mumbled.  Shrugging it off, he said, "Well, if the ship says so too, guess I'll have to believe ya."  Extending a hand toward the wolf, Ris gave a short nod, smiling.  "I'm Ris."

Steve took his hand, shook it, then said, "Steve McKarter"

"Well, now that we're all acquainted, maybe I'll see you around." Ris said with another short nod, releasing Steve's hand and walking towards the opposite edge of the roof.

Stopping, Ris turned around.  "Leaving." he replied simply.  "Didn't expect me to stay on this building all day, did ya?"

"Well ok."

Raising his hand in farewell, Ris again turned to face the other side.  His ear giving a light twitch, the fox took off in a full sprint, leaping off of the edge of the building.  Both the tails of his headband and his own tail flew back behind him, the wind ruffling his fur as the air tried to push back against him.  As soon as his feet made contact with the roof of the adjacent building, the Arctic Fox tucked forward into a roll, easily ending up on his feet again, his speed maintained throughout as he continued on.

Steve watched as Ris had gone, and put his hands into his pockets. He looked up at the clear, blue sky, then said, "Everyday we meet someone new..." He looked back at where Ris had went, then said to Black Soviet, "Come on, let's go.."

with that he started to walk back....

Back in the deep dark alleyways of Corneria, there lied a young lion in wait. He wore a grey coloured hunting vest and a pair of camo-pants. He was leaning on a nearby dumpster, calmly smoking a cigarette he had stolen earlier from a nearby convenient store.

From above, a ship in stealth mode slowly descended upon the dark and abandoned site, moving as slow as possible to be unheard of by others around it. Leon, the oranged-maned lion, glanced upward. The ship had landed. There was a moment of silence, before Leon spoke up.

"You're late. If it wasn't for the money, I'd be gone hours ago."

The voice within the ship replied, "Yes. If it wasn't for the money, you wouldn't be here in the first place. Now listen up. In order for this to go through, you have to do everything we order you to. No resistance or the deal is broken, got it?"

Leon stepped out of the shadows and realized he was talking to two robots. "I play by my own rules. The deal was for me to get the job done and for me to get my reward."

The robot on Leon's left said, "So we have agreement?"

"Yes. As long as you do your part."

"And as long as you do yours." replied the robot to Leon's right.

"Okay. So here is the briefing. We start with the lead on the south side of this city, to get the attention going to that side. When we give you the signal, we want you to break into the Cornerian National Laboratory and steal the...'jewels'." announced the robot on the left side. "And do it with whatever means necessary. We don't like failures." finished the robot on the right side.

Leon growled and threw off his gloves, revealing razor sharp claws. "And I don't like cocky freaks who like to boss people around, acting so high and mighty." Leon threatened.

The two robots took one look at the claws and backed away.

"Just as long as you get the job done. We'll be watching." the robots both said simultaneously.

Leon grunted and broke a nearby window, sounding the alarm. He took one last glance at both of them and dove through the window, making his leave.

"Do you think he's the one, Azul?"

"Maybe, Thunder. If he brings down the Sky Force, just maybe..."

And with that, they retreated back into the shadows.

(who are the two robots?)

(who are the two robots?)

(Oh. Sorry. I forgot to clear that up.  I was planning to, but I had to go for school. I'll edit it now.)
