Sabre
No, it's not. When you shoot someone, they don't explode in bloody fountains.Blood is life-giving, silly. Lack of blood inside someone HURTS people. Shooting people and these gory deaths remove blood and vital organs, which does hurt people. Honestly, your statement makes no sense.I *do* say that about books, film, music, etc. I don't like "mature" media because it's not fit for human consumption, not just child consumption. Make no mistake, I don't support censorship, but I wholeheartedly support people intentionally not choosing to view destructive and crude media. Halo, Bioshock, and all that, were not rated mature for their difficult-to-understand themes, it's for the cursing and the gory violence. What if you like that stuff and what if it fits the tone of whatever you create? If a zombie kills a guy, it's not going to be a bloodless, clean affair. It's omission is more jarring then any harm it could do.Even if they did cut the blood out of those games, and the swearing(?) I dount they would get a PG rating.

The Green Fox
I agree with Mr. Krystal. People seem to act like if you engage in destructive behavior that's real mature or something, it's retarded.

Milkyway64
No, I think it's mature enough.Only it's kinda not. There's a time and a place for rated M games. Inside my Mario, StarFox, and Zelda is NOT it. I'd rather it stay to my Team Fortress 2, Bioshock, and Resident Evil.
"User"
I wouldn't mind the Star Fox series take a more mature turn....considering, you know...Star Fox/Wolf are mercenaries and make a living killing people. And of course the purists would be completely against me for suggesting that :)
Robert Monroe
Seriously. Starfox? Starfox? An M rating? It doesn't even live up to its T rating!Blood and guts and sex and profanity, a good game does not make, nor does it make good writing. Resident Evil is a testament to this, and that is where Starfox's weaknesses lie. How about we get a good damn GAME frst, instead of wanting Grand Theft Auto: Corneria City.A real game that needs an M rating? Try the Xenosaga games. A plot so thick you need to play the game thrice before you find all the details, character death, psychological themes, suicide and love triangles, and a mature cast of characters, and the game gets off on a T rating because of its animu art style. That's bollocks, to me.

Robert Monroe
No, that's bad story telling.Which is? Starfox or Xenosaga? Starfox, yes, and thats sort of why it doesn't need a cheap M rating to try and boost sales.Xenosaga is up to opinion, I personally never found its story telling to be bad (though it did get annoying sometimes), but that is entirely irrelevant to the conversationa t hand, which is Xenosaga was a mature game for adults that got a T rating. Milkyway64
I cracked up at the "Grand Theft Auto: Corneria City" thing. ROFL.I've played it before.Once I was playing as Wolf O'Donnel and I broke into this skyscraper and stole a prototype jetpack. Policeman Falco saw and gave chase, shooting at me with a pistol. I found a tank nearby and commandeered it, driving away and running over bystanders Slippy and Krystal.

Matrilwood
Pokemon, seriously that should have grown up a LONG time ago.A proper version of Spyro. Legend attempted it, but as a Spyro game, it fails in so many ways.
