:bill: By your powers combined,

        I am Captain Bill!

*Song*

Captain Bill, he's a hero,

gonna make you pay all your bills now,

he's our powers magnified, and he's fighting on the lawyer's side.

Captain Bill, he's a herp,

gonna make you pay all your bills now,

gonna help him, collect bills,

from those who do not pay a cent.

The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. The sciences, each straining in its own direction, have hitherto harmed us little; but some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the deadly light into the peace and safety of a new dark age.

What is that from?

That is a line from the beginning of "The Call of Cthulhu" by H.P. Lovecraft. It is talking about Lovecraft's recurring theme of "forbidden knowledge" of how the universe actually formed and works, which has driven men insane when they learn even a small part of it. The quote happens to be one of my favourite from any source, since I often ask people, "Like we truly know anything of how the universe works? We scratch the surface and call ourselves masters of our domain."

That's actually very good. I like it.

Lovecraft could get very deep sometimes, though one story, "The Whisperer in the Darkness" was quite obvious, and the protagonist was apparently beaten in the head with a pipe as a child. Other than that, however, I have found every story of his to be rather suspenseful.

Reminds me of when my friend got into a school sanctioned red bull drinking contest, and he won by drinking thirty-something cans, and had to go to the hospital to get his stomach pumped. He was awake for days due to the red bull his system already absorbed. His heart was going crazy.

Iraqi Jackass all over again....

For those that don't know, it's a video of a bunch of U.S. Forces in Iraq being bored, and acting stupid as hell. I personally felt bad for the guy who put Deep Heat on his privates... I have accidentally done that when an itch arose. Burns so unbelievably bad, and it was just a very small amount.
