Sticky cover system, anyone?

And better A.I., different types of enemies, better gameplay mechanics, etc :P

Does anyone want a much larger Corneria city? Even if all parts aren't accessible, I want it to look like an actual city, not just a smallish island in the middle of a featureless sea. That makes no sense, as far as the evolution of cities go. There would be no resources there at all. At least make it somewhat like NYC, on a peninsula, with maybe a delta connecting a major river to a sea. And make it actually look like the hubcap of the Lylat system. And let us go in some buildings please. Like a restaurant. Maybe a mechanics shop to get supplies or something. /fangirl griping.

I agree; I would of liked it if there were more buildings and if the city was located on mainland, like you said. For a place that probably has a high population, it looks bare and widespread. I would like it if it looked identical to either Hong Kong or Singapore (not literally, thou).

No kidding, for what should have been a massive and sprawling city, comes nothing less than a desolate wasteland that's sparsely populated.  I'd expect to see buildings galore, different monuments/structures, streets, pedestrians, and even other vehicles.  "Corneria City" has seemed much more like an isolated military base in its current iterations.

>pedestrians

I think you mean corpses. :trollface:Actually, that would only apply to that one scene in Assault...WELL GREAt, I JUST RUINED A JOKE!

Indeed, it would of been better if they had based the city in the game based off the Super Smash Bros Melee level and/or the Paths of Fate (fanmade SF game) level. It would of been interesting to see more of Corneria's culture.

I'd like a multiplayer co-op mode

Make that multiplayer co-op mode with wifi. YEAH!!

With splitscreen too. Four player splitscreen. And not with shrinked screens (e.g. Lost Planet 2, RE5, MW2, W@W).

That would be perfect!

I would make another game with similar mechanics to SF2 ~ except with all of the team rather than just two, and Andross' forces try to take back other places besides Corneria and the satellite depending on the difficulty. You are on foot, instead of in the walker, and you make the ground levels MUCH bigger, and much more complex. The other thing to do would be to have different objectives that are randomly selected for each planet, improving replay value (Different objectives that gain you access to the base). Also having a healthy mix of rails missions, and more difficult bosses that in SF2.

You can choose which one of the team members you wish to play with, but if you die with one character, they're out for the rest of the playthrough. Your wing mates fly in the missions with you aka SF64.

There also would be several waves of attack (like expert in SF2 only more), which increase in difficulty by varying amounts depending on how well you do in the previous wave, and a penultimate mission where there's an attack made on Corneria (By Andross just for the sake of argument), followed by a counter attack to (Andross') Main Base. Starwolf fights you a couple of times through out the game like in SF64.

I also think that StarFox is a mercenary unit, it's probably one of the ONLY situation where getting money actually makes sense, you get money depending on a whole lot of variables which enables you to by bombs (Different types that vary in destruction and survivability by your team mates) and laser upgrades and improve speed and shields etc..

Sorry if that wasn't very easy to understand ~ I'm trying to concentrate on several things at once.

Sounds a lot like StarFox Command, which I would like if it weren't for the bad story. The gameplay was great.

The currency system sounds fun though. An in-depth customization system would be AWESOME.

I would have it as a massive ship to ship combat sim liek Ace combat. you can get multiple fighters and you can customize it.

the final battle will be over ten thousand ships in an all out brawl as

:fox::wolf:

In a cataclismic fight in beetween the wreckage of space ships and dodging friendly fire

in a startling twist, Krystal would  show up, not in a fighter, but as a gunner for anti aircraft/fighters. her opening shot would be her (digitally redon for the new consols) as she takes control of several battaries of Missiles and guns VIA a holographic system that encompasses her hands. And thus she would blow the living crap out of an etire collection of fighters and bombers looking incredably awsome as she does.

And at the last moment during the final mission Peppy, Falco, and slippy all help you engage wolf as Krystal fends of Leon and panther

Yeah, I could definitely see StarFox with Ace Combat like gameplay. In fact, that would be way more awesome than what we have now.

I'm loving this idea. If only Nintendo would pick up these hints. To be quite honest, as much as I suck at first person shooters, I feel like Nintendo could pick up a few things from CoD or Halo as far as the on foot sections go. I'm not talking about violence, or about ripping off the other games, but I feel like that the destructible environments and huge maps could definitely add on, as well as the currency system. Now, as far as flying, I liked the Assault style. I really wish Assault had been a longer game for this reason. Those flying sections, especially the ones you had where you had to switch back and forth, were almost golden, although I felt like the map needed to be much larger.

I slightly had the same idea in my mind like Andross like you can choose the character you want to play, like you could in StarFox 2.

I don't really know how to explain it, but I try to *bricked*

You could select through the characters (Fox, Slippy, Falco, Krystal, Wolf, Leon, Panther... depends on how much characters are available), and every character has his/her own missions and stories, special movements etc etc. You can select if you want to be a single character player or if you want to have a second character which is only a support or the character that your friend wants to play (Co-op while playing the story mode)

Just like in Command you can see the Energy, Shield, Bombs etc. on your screen, also some kind of special attack that depends on which character you are playing, therefore you have a special gauge that fills up whenever you shot down an enemy. When the gauge is full Fox, as an example, could launch many lasers which hits every single enemy that appears on the screen, but to make it not THAT powerful it won't have a target ability. Falco on the other hand could target many enemies and kill them with just one hit, he's the ace pilot afterall, but his special gauge needs longer to get filled completely.

Well I hope some of you can get my idea here ;D

The characters shouldn't be too strong or weak, so like in command the characters will have their own "play strategy" to end a mission without taking too much damage or getting killed after 1 hit, the only difference is that you don't have a time limit / you can't run out of fuel.

You have a score system like in every game and it works in the same way as in N64/Assault, just putting the combos, the time you needed to end the mission etc. together at the end result.

You can choose the difficulty for yourself, but the harder it is the more enemies will appear and they need more hits (which is obviously), you can unlock an art gallery and jukebox when you find secret items inside the levels (I'm not talking about those flags like in Assault) OR inside the cities you can check out.

Yes, inside the cities. It would be interesting to enter Corneria, Katina and other places as a "City Area" where you can run around freely and talk to the residents, going shopping for items or to find secret items that can be found the farther you get through the story. Maybe their could be a day and night time function to make it more realistic, in that way the city/cities change and you can enter some areas you couldn't when you're visiting the city/cities at day time. But besides of those "City Areas" where you can run around freely the missions will work with Arwings only. Though I like the on foot missions I think it would be better to place Arwing missions only so there is enough space for the players to run around the Cities on foot.

Also it would be interesting to see how the cities could look like when they got attacked - you can enter them still but there will be paths you can't enter anymore until the city/cities have recovered from the attacks. Not every single city needs to get attacked, only those where the creators think it's the most important. Maybe you can even encounter one of the main characters inside the city and talk to them, or getting special missions from people that you need to finish on different planets. The harder the mission is, the higher the reward will be.

The mission depends on the characters - If you play as Leon, Wolf or Panther, you need to destroy the City/Cities, if you're playing as Fox, Slippy, Falco or Krystal, you need to help the city/cities to get rebuild.

...Yeah I know, much to read but I can't help it!

^ That is quite the impressive wall of text there Saphiria!  There are quite a few excellent ideas and points mentioned; my personal favorite is the idea of entering the cities and interacting with NPCs.  Although, I can safely doubt that Nintendo would ever spend that much effort and time on a series that is not Mario, Zelda, or Metroid. XD

Thank you very much, Crazy :D But yeah, we can surely doubt that Nintendo will put that amount of effort into a StarFox game, which is a real shame. I think if they would care about it that much we would see more about the franchise. But I won't forget that it's a hard business to create a game, and that you need a lot of money to pay the storyboarder, the concept artists, music composers, animators etc.... it's a tough job. Still it would be nice to see a game that has different mixes inside of it. I really liked Assault, but I lately start to think that their should only be "on foot" parts when you enter a city - it has a better atmosphere. But those Arwing and On Foot missions could also depend on the character you are playing and if it's a main mission which is important for the story or a sidequest mission. On Foot missions would be perfect for Slippy in my opinion. But who knows, who knows...

That's...epic, Saphira. That just blew my mind. Add some urban combat while on foot in the cities, civilian escort missions, the whole shebang (And my sticky cover system) and you'd have the most mind-blowing game ever.

Yes yes! Something like this could also happen inside the cities! I guess if Nintendo really would put much effort into things like that then they would have a very long and interesting continue for the franchise. Like I said, on foot missions only in cities or when you're playing as Slippy, but otherwise you just have Arwing missions.

mein gott you two are on to something!

Why not have it so you can cutsomize your charecters race and stuff. hell why not make it an MMORPG? leik star wars galaxies only less gay! with urban combat and stuff you can seriously giv ethe star fox name some real cred.

Race=Species in this instance.

No MMORPG. That would turn away too many good fans. Now, customizable loadouts and such would be nice, but I'd prefer the canon characters. So...I guess, changable outfits and weapon loadouts, but keep species and stuff canon. Urban combat similar to this would be my preferred type:

I would like to see Starfox more like the Metroid Prime series. Metroid Prime has a nice dark feel to the game with a sense of danger at every turn. Starfox should have this darker feel.

Starfox should have a balance between ground and flight missions where the team can participate in a flight mission from one planet to the next while fighting on the ground on some planets. This would be like Assault, although with much better controls.

Krystal should be a playable character either in a way that you would alternate control between her and Fox or in a co-op mode with a guest.

There should be a multiplayer mode again but with better battle areas and modes like capture the flag, king of the hill, slayer, etc. Make multiplayer more of the calliber to Halo.

If another game is ever made I hope it is more realistic and has awesome graphics.

I hope they give the Arwing a machine gun or something, bring back the Blue Marine, and do

the story some justice. They need to portray Star Fox as more mercenary than in the past, and

answers some of the unanswered questions of the series such as: is James McCloud really dead?

What happened to Krystal's Home Planet?

As for a villan they need to resurrect Andross who is now out to destroy Lylat rather than

conquer it. The missions should have new types of objectives other than just "destroy and

destroy that"- such as escorting and recon- things that real mercenaries do.

And PLEASE... no more new planets from out of the blue!!!

One thing i would love in the new starfox game is 4 diffrent story lines

1:The old school starfox team with james

2:Origonal Starfox Team with Fox

3:Team Starwolf

and 4:The new starfox with marcus

You know a couple things I want...

Time Travel

Alternate Universe

Krystal + Fara clone

Story takes little bits from all games, SNES to Wii/DS

Why?

Because then Krystal can see what happened to her planet, and if she goes back and saves it, it creates a new timeline which Fara is in instead of Krystal, but she still meets Fox.

Fara clone? Ya, someone who can take her place and who is canon.

Little bits of everything from every game, like this: SNES SF Corneia Wii/Re-mix, SNES SF2 Mission map, N64 SF64 3D rail action, NGC SFADV Adventure features, NGC SFASS Ground Multiplayer aspect, DS SFC Multiple endings
