Starfox as an animated motion picture: Yay or Nay?

When I first got into SF way back when 64 first came out, I always wanted them to make Starfox into an animated movie, somehtign that would be really fun to go to the theaters to see. And with so many video game movie coming out, some are good but most are shit, I think it would be nice if someone actually tried really hard to make adapt SF to film, by actually trying to develop a good storyline and character structure, I think it could work.

Since I have high doubts that any studio will even be contemplating the idea, AND since my ambition is to be an actor, Director and screenwriter, I will try to make it happen. I even have a screenplay in the works that I hope I could some how show to nintendo years down the road if I ever become a film maker. I would say it is very accurrate and true to the original material, only problem is... I am trying to hard with the character development and story that it is more drama than it is action. And... it is padded with risque stuff which makes it obviously R-rated, but it is not Hard R, it;s not excessevely violent or have the F word thrown around 100 times (but it is used quite a bit, so far mostly by Falco) But hey, that;s my vision on how I beleive the general public would like to see from it. I am trying my best to make it to where someone who has never even heard of the SF games could go see the movie and understand it.

Well, As of now, It is no more than a Fanfic, written in play format however. Maybe, if there is any chance... I could post it on the Fanwork section when it is done.... BUT it may not meet the guidlines becasue it is pretty Risque compared to the games.

Anyway, in a nutshell... do you agree to SF becoming a movie?

Well, Star Wars is in the top of my list of favorites because of the Movies... so, if it can keep up with Star Wars... ok, why not.

Miyamoto in interview about Star Fox 64: "We made a shooting game that's also like a movie." and "I didn't exactly set out to do this, but Star Fox 64 became an example of what I think interactive movies can be."

Yes, the Starfox series shows about the most promise for a successful video game to film transition in Nintendo's main arsenal. It would be better than a movie about Zelda or Metroid (from a practical standpoint) because the story is much closer to the way a movie works. There's lots of dialog, but plenty of action too. I think it would make a wonderful movie so long as it's not live action. CGed or animated would be much better. However, I don't think it would still be Star Fox to many of us if the rating was that high. Falco can be plenty insulting without those words. And you don't want to throw away your target audience by getting it a rating beyond their age. Sure older people like Star Fox too, but that's no reason to ®estrict it to them. If you want to make it all like that, I'd suggest that the main characters be the Star Wolf team, since they aren't nearly as clean as the Star Fox team.

However, keep up the work. Maybe I'll change my mind once I see the script. Good luck.

Yes, but if they intend to make it successful, they oughta make it line up with the story and characters. Otherwise, it just plain sucks.

It should be made except,

-If the SF movie was R, I would be heartbroken. I am 11. Falco can say darn, crud, etc., but not fuck, crap, etc..

-It has to be 3D animation. Or else itll suck. Live action SF would be dum.

-It must stick too the videogames. Its story must be canon StarFox info. I want the movie too build onto the games, not take advantage of the SF popularity and then make it completely different.

Well, I think Dreamworks Animation would be the best for it, they proved worthy enough to me with Shrek and Madagascar.

Oh, and SDI, just to let you know... IF this does happen, this will be years down the road and I can assure you that you will be at least 17 if not older, I mean, I am only 17 right now as it is, and I estimate that for me to get this made into a movie.. it will be at least 8 years or more from now, because... well... these kinds of things take time. So, no matter what the rating is, just about any of us here right now could be able to go and see it in the cinemas with friends without any problem... but that shouldn't suggest that I go and purposely make it R rated. But that's just how the script turned out.

Now, If I went and took out all the F words that have been used in my Script, it would still b R Rated I think because of... well... I suppose the really psycologically powerful, heavy, really depressing events the Characters go through, I puched the envelope on the Drama a little, which is why I am at 105 pages right now, will not expect to be finished until 180.

Actually, anything would be good now! Star Wars has comics, video games, action figures, movies, cartoons, animations (some of the movies' effects), sound tracks, etc. You name it, they are there!

So, it is time for StarFox to step up to the plate and "try" to reach to the level of Star Wars.

Like if that will aver happen.

You never know!

True. It might not happen in a week, a month, a year, a decade or not even in my life time... but if someone gets the idea a step forward... that might make it happen.
