I definitely saw that a while ago, but it doesn't make me any less excited for a (possible) new Xenosaga game. I  LOVED Xenosaga, you see.

I think I'll get it, even if it's not. I've been hungry for a new RPG and don't have a PS3 for FFXIII.

Sceptisism. ie. Show me and I will believe.

Also isn't Xenosagas famously one of the worst and most outdated- Sorry. 'epic' and 'traditional' JRPGs out there.

You're just like my older sister. She's a "show me" kind of person too. Odd thing is though, I was born in the show me state and she wasn't.

The Last Story or whatever it's called is coming out in Japan this year. It looks pretty good to me

I'm not sure we're talking about the same game. Outdated how? Being an older game doesn't make it outdated, necessarily. Having a somewhat Biblical theme might make it a bit outdated, but I dunno.

Either way, Xenoblade isn't related, so, it doesn't really matter anyways.

By outdated, I mean a game JRPGs full of grind, bad user interface, random battles, overly long and wordy story ect. Whereas most genres have moved on and changed, JRPGs are all pretty much just Final Fantasy for the NES with better graphics. Some change. Combat wise Grandia 2 is ok, and so is Last remnant. Compair to WRPGs. We've gone from D&D 2nd to Fallout 3. FPS and Platformers games get called out on being samey, but if it's a JRPG it's 'traditional', and if it is full of padding and grind, it's described as epic and not padded.

All that said, I have to put the disclaimer that I don't know Xenosaga well enough. Only what I've heard through the grapevine.

Those aspects of the genre are enshrined by the players. If you don't like the genre, fine. But don't go calling a tiger outdated because it still has stripes.
