Sabre
Continuing the off topic talk from wow look at sony.ahem no more heroes anyone?now please lets get back on topic before the gods come and lock it up. No More Heroes was an awful mess made worse by it being a wapanese wet dream and a pretentious artsy game, which I lothe. It might have been good had it not been for all the grind, crappy open world ect. Oddly enough, I heard spyborgs does the 'hit baddies in the face' thing quite well. Steve
I don't know, for gamers like me, the wii keeps delivering. I'm not a constant console gamer, and I usually buy one or two wii games per year so I don't have complains , right now, I'm looking forward for metroid other M, and the next legend of zelda, those will probably be my picks for the next 12 months. Red steel 2 and monster hunter tri are booked after their price gets down to like 30 bucks or maybe I won't even get them since I'm not totally interested.Wii kicking?, if we are on the same channel, then I do believe that's a mixed feeling. CrypticQuery
Frankly, the only reason I still have my Wii around is because I have the hope that a new Starfox game will be out soon. If Nintendo doesn't go hardcore again, I don't believe I'll be buying any of their consoles, except for the Starfox games that is :D

Mr. Krystal
Right now I'm several years behind on playing awesome games, so the Wii provides more than enough. I'm not the kind of person to play four hours a day though.
ThePointingMan
I enjoy computer games, but I like having memorable characters, the wii has a lot of those "characters." I also like TF2, cause it's fun, and it has characters that aren't just like, "oh I'm a guy, Oh look at me, I'm another guy!" They give there characters personality (Gordon freeman don't need no personality though.) I am sick of seeing games that are the equivalent of ipod apps on the Wii though. Asper Sarnoff
While I'm not going to say if I think any of the big three consoles are superior to the other, I'll say this:I bet I have at least as much fun playing on my Wii as most who play on an Xbox 360 or PS3 do, and in the end, isn't it that who is most important? To have fun?Tough, I'm very jelaus at those with a PS3 now, simply because they will be getting what seems to be the most awesome racing game in history. Gran Turismo 5. The machine is ultimatly meaningless these days. There are various pros and cons to each. The main thing though is games, and the wii had a good start, but then smahsed into a lampost. It's the casual wasteland that was feared on PC many moons back. I don't doubt that there exist fun games on the wii, but as I said before, nothing as good as what the rest offer. For example. Why get cut versions of a game when I can get the full version on 360? Why get a typical ok ww2 game when there is a quite good one on PC for the same price? Numberous times I have come close to buying certain games. Klanoa, Day of Crisis, Darkside Chronicles, HotD Overkill, Spyborgs and Silent Hill, but each time I've gone "or I can get Ratchet, Prototype, FEAR 2, Batman, Left 4 Dead 2, Torchlight, Modern Warfare 2 ect for the same price or cheaper."Much like you, I want a PS3 for a couple of games. Ratchet in my case, but the price is to much. I'm now putting serious thought into getting one though after I ended up with a bit of a saved cash and various knowlage of the system I didn't have before. (Dude, PS3 is region free and you can use regular laptop hard discs on them)

And you are not proving your point, The conduit is not the best FPS, it MIGHT be the best FPS for the wii (I doubt it, personally), but it's no where near the best FPS of all time. Just leave it at YOUR best FPS.

Steve
i am not writing i am typing and you havent seen the commerical of the conduitDude, I own the conduit I got it like, one week after it was released too, I wouldn't be bothering you with this if I didn't have it. It's a great game, and a step into the right direction for FPS on the wii, and I have no doubt that the conduit 2 will raise that bar as well, but as overall FPS experience, the conduit falls short to games like halo 3, modern warfare and crisis. And I must clarify, I'm not really fond to halo or any of the other picks, but I recognize their superiority. Your opinions are way too biased and you are not accepting the truth, the game might be your best pick, but it's surely, not the best pick overall. The conduit is a solid FPS, but it does not innovate (aside the super custom controls). Missions?, they lack on the creativity side, you can't even use a smart cover system, the all seeing eye?, fancy gadget, but it's only that, a gadget. AI? I have seen perfect dark 64 AI behaving smarter. Graphics?, the wii is not about graphics but gameplay, and still, fancy effects will never beat a good art style. Controls?, I do agree, super kick ass. Multiplayer? by today standards, it sucks. Period. It's fun and engaging, but only for wii standards, which I think it's sad, the wii should be the best pick for FPS because of the wii remote that "should" be better than a mouse/keyboard combo, but sadly, developers haven't taken full advantage of this ( Again, metroid is more of an adventure game).Seriously dude, if you keep turning like that, Sabre will definitely be more harsh than me. It's not about "let's all support the wii! yay!" it's more about experience in games and recognizing what is better and what is good, without being biased. I don't own a 360 or a ps3, but I can steadily say, FPS are way more developed on those consoles, like it or not, this is a fact not an assumption. And finally, call it writing or typing (you smartass ), I'm not the only one that have said this, watch your grammar because it resembles a 6 year old kid, I invite you to prove me otherwise. Halo is OVERRATED, but you know why it is overrated? cause it can be overrated, it's well built and it's good, like it or not. Okami falls on the same section, people claim it's overrated, but you know what? it's really that dang good, and I don't see us complaining about that. And I don't think you understood me when I said , I DON'T like halo.

Guest Para Astaroth
Well, speaking on what Sabre said about a game being nearly on par with the Xbox, there is Metroid: Other M that we can look forward to since, by the screenshots and gameplay, it looks like it could be a pretty interesting Metroid game. These being games, there is always an eliment of coke v pepsi. However, with explaination of why it's better I can understand your reason. 2 examples1- A review of Supreme Commander 2 (a polerizing game that was either dumbed down or streamlined depending on your opinion) basicly beat the game up. The reason they claimed was no blood and gore ...in a game about tanks. This guy wanted bleeding tanks, and thus I branded him an idiot and vowed never to read that sites reviews again.2- I used to think all Morrowind fans who hated Oblivion were nostalgic fools. Oblivion was better in every way. Both technically and Mechanically, and there were fewer exploits to abuse. So I felt for months as all they offered was "Oblivion is teh suk. Morrowind pwns all lol." It was 1 morrowind fan months later that changed my mind when he explained that he agreed Oblivion was better gameplay and technically. He said he prefered Morrowind though because of the mood and plot. In Oblivion, the plot is a cliched hells demons are eating everything, you are the one true hero, so go and save the world nownownowNOW! so if felt odd when you kicking back at the magics guild picking flowers. Morrowind you were an undercover agent who spent the first half of the game ablivious as the rest the world to the creeping terror no one know about until near the end where zombies started coming out of the walls, so it didn't seem odd people were asking to clean up their gardens and meant all side quests were part of funding your secret agent ways.
