Economic problem happened before, greenhouse effect (global warming?) has been popular among hippies since they were invented. It's a paganistic belief that changes from global warming, to cooling, to o-zone (the thing, not the band) and back again. Illegal logging? I don't get that one. It makes no sence. We grow trees to use the same way the breed carrots or chickins. Pollution? See hippies. Also see the london smog.

PLUS, Mayans, who predicted the end of this

"cycle" would be celebrating it - According to them,

magic is cyclical. It comes, expans, weakens, and leaves.

And then it repeats. So according to Mayans (the creators

of the calendar people are using to say about 21/DEC/2012

doomsday) that day magic would return to the world,

so in any case, it´s creators do not believed that date

to be "bad", but "good".

Also, do not get your hopes too high.

There is no guarantee that anything "special" happens

The history of the human race is full of murder, thievery, beatings, slavery, plots of treason, warfare, genocide, and countless other atrocities. Every generation has them. They are no proof of end times.

Morality is relative. What is "bad" to some is "good" to others. Genocide is condemned as "bad" by the west. But, to some cultures, it is a great honorable thing to rid the earth of the "evil" of another culture. This has happened so often throughout human history that we can't make judgments about the end of our species based on it.

It could happen in the next 5 minutes, it could happen a thousand years from now when we are all dead and gone. No one knows.

I dare go as far in saying that global warming is all another huge Y2K type scenario, only a lot more long term.  Ultimately it will be a waste of resources fighting it (i.e. money) and 20+ years from now (since 2012 is a hoax) everything will be worse than it is today.

As for Nuclear war.....not going to happen, we've had far worse periods of tension involving Nuclear War (Cold war) and with the large efforts of many nuclear nations in disabling and lowering nuclear weapon stockpiles it's not as much of a threat as it used to be.

North Korea just wants international attention, that's all they've doing since the Korean War.  I can't begin to count all the threats they've made over the last decade that have been mostly meaningless.  As far as China goes they have publicly stated that they don't want an arms race with the U.S. and would prefer to focus on the economy first and foremost.  You can't build up an effective superpower style military without establishing bases (air, army, navy) all over the planet

Global Warming has little to do

with doomsday events,

and contamination?

If money caused it, money can solve it.

Nuclear War is unlikely. There is too much too

lose, nothing to gain, and it would simply be stupid.

China is far more interesting in Economy than in

Military, and North Korea... They have missiles, yeah,

but they are not going to launch them simply because

that is all they have. Nobody is going to resupply

them with missiles, so even if the fire first they are

on the loser´s side.

As far as stockpiles go, NK knows for damn sure they are outnumbered by a vast majority of missles compared to anyone. Sure they have them but they don't have the ICBM technology to get it past the sea of japan. China doesn't give 2 sh*ts about us. They know they're economy is pretty much stronger than us. The only nuclear power we have to worry about is Russia and they're in the same boat of lowering stockpiles. We're pretty much safe off at this point.
