China actually does because their economy is largely based on exporting to the Western World.  If America doesn't buy as much from them then that greatly affects their bottom line. 

Furthermore America's GDP is $14,256,275,000,000 as of 2009.  China's is $4,908,982,000,000 which is actually third place worldwide I believe still and is just over a third what the U.S is, although I swear they overtook Japan recently for 2nd...

Actually, China could take us out any time they want. Most of our borrowed money is from China. All they have to do is say "no more" and our economy collapses. (I don't remember precise details, the documentary I saw that on I saw a couple of weeks ago)

Nope, it wasn't on TV. Why would TV say that China could wipe us out without firing a single shot if they were going for entertainment value anyways? ( I say this because there are alarmists in America who would take advantage of this and start making "bomb China" t-shirts and spreading that they PLAN to wipe us out)

The problem with them doing that is that China's economy would also collapse because America's currency would then inflate so much that not only would the American dollar would be pretty much worthless it would spark the biggest worldwide crisis in history and everyone would be screwed.  China isn't stupid, that's the last thing they would do because all the American money that would get back would be like Germany's currency right after World War 1 - virtually worthless.  What China (and other countries) are doing right now that hold U.S. investments is diversifying them away from anything American.
