CrypticQuery
Nintendo actully made its own tv color game so NES wasn't the first console!http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_TV_GameYeah, first the color TV game six, and then fifteen. They were pretty cool, and I believe they were pong consoles. (Haven't looked at that wiki article yet)
Sabre
i want u guys to know that wolfenstion actully wasn't the fps it was maze wars 3d i thinkThis is debatable. 3D monster maze didn't have a gun. Battletanks was a tank game. Wolfenstien was the first proper FPS, but it wasn't real 3D, it was smoke and mirrors used to give the impression of 3D (and way beyond my thoughts) I forget what the first true 3D FPS was though, most people say quake but iirc that's not true.Oddly enough, horror has the same kind of weird "who was first" type history. In both cases, it's hard to deny the popularizer though. Doom for FPS, and Resident Evil for horror. I also count RE as the first horror game because it was the first game that managed to really be scary instead of laughable. X-Gamer
Yeah, people my age and time have lost the true nature of video games. I asked my best friend if he would still play the Super Mario games even if Mario looked 10x more uglier and the graphics were worse than the ones today. He said no. I was pretty surprised and I asked a few others and a good number of them said no. Whatever happened to gameplay? Doesn't that count anymore? About the history, I'm not that deep into stuff like that --- Except for when it comes to Legend of Zelda. I'm probably 90% right on the history (not the time line. I mean when the order of the release on the games.)

Matt Macdowel
Pretty much green about what happened before the SNES. I knew of only one guy who had one, and I had never seen anything like it at that time. It was witchcraft! And please Matt, don't feel like you have to impress us on every possible subject.*starts crying* but it makes me feel smart llol jk jk What's the point of copy pasting something extracted from the net when you are supposed to be the one to tell us how much you know?i know alot of crap but wiki is just a faster way to do it!
