I thought Silverhawks was the '80s :

Well, according to the French Wikipedia, Silverhawks ran in France in the mid 90s, whereas the English and American Wikipedia says mid 80's.

True, but by that logic it could be an '00s cartoon because Cartoon Network used to play it in the mornings in the early 00s :P I used to watch it and the Flintstones before going to kindergarten (so at least as late as 2002). I'm pretty sure it was on the air here when it was new, though. I barely remember it, to be honest.

I can play that on the piano. Fun little piece, although trills are quite frankly a pain in the ass on the piano. I like the orchestra version the best (dat finish), but Virgil Fox's version from his Fillmore East/Carnegie Hall concert's a close second (bogged down by the wimpy electric organ).

Pretty sure I just cemented myself as the vice-president of SF-O music snobs :P

On the extreme flip side, this song's part of a long-running injoke between my brother and I. Don't ask why. Just is.

Eh, thanks for pointing out the orchestration, âˆš(infinity4) I had no idea it existed.

How on Earth are you people able to put videos and images and other thingamabobs in your comments? I'm dumbfounded. It's like you guys have this manual that covers everything you can do on the Internet or something.

Anywho, I listen to Justice. Cross 5evar.

*Shake Rattle and Roll*

Maybe it's the real instruments creating music, maybe it's the sound of voices that aren't autotuned, all I can say is I love this kind of music. It's upbeat and relaxing at the same time and it's absolutely perfect. How this kind of music fell out of favor with the kids is beyond me.

Here's a gem I found myself listening to today.

Its kind of dark and sad, and I also feel that in some ways it was ahead of its time. It tells a tale of mankind's progress over time not being such a wonderful thing, and perhaps ultimately leading to its own demise. It reminds me of progressive rock to a good degree and is very different from most 60s music I usually hear (though to be fair it was made in 69', so its pushing it). Whatever the case, I really like it.

My brother really needs help with promoting his music, so I'll stick some of his great stuff here:

Primal Fear is an amazing power metal band. I highly recommend their music, especially their newest album, Delivering the Black.

In all seriousness, though, I really like this song.

I don't know why, but I've never been too hot on metal. Not anything against the genre or it's 1.21 gigajillion sub genres, just one of those genres that just leaves me cold. However, I will say that most metalheads I've met aren't are much nicer people than the stereotypical close-minded snobby longhair metalheads.

With that said, I've got my guilty pleasures, mostly of the goofy hair-metal variety :P
