Favorite tune from Skylanders? ...Gotta be the masterpiece that is the Leviathan Lagoon:

MAN, Hans Zimmer knows how to make some brilliant pieces. (Yes, it was him who did the music for this game)

I'm taking a liking to this song. Currently imagining it in some epic E3 presentation of a Star Fox game. The final chorus is what seals the deal for me.

Listen to this

and then listen to this

The chord changes and bass(?) motif is practically identical. I know it's not as blatant as Megaman ripping off Journey or even the "unintentional" similarity between the Sonic 3 OST and various Michael Jackson songs, but it's hella close.

EDIT: Did a really quick 'n dirty mashup. See for yourself

I'm not usually a listener to Dr.Dre's stuff, but this awesome trap remix is an exception:

(I may need to put an NSFW langauge warning here)

Sometimes, I imagine the Star Fox team fighting on Fichina to this music.

Fallout has left a surprising side effect: an affinity for swing. In which case "Time And Time Again" by Ian Wiese, performed by Hannah Martin. For those of you not in the know, this little song featured in Portal Stories: Mel is a pretty nice callback to swing music back from the 40s. Unfortunately it's nowhere on the internet as far as I could see. The good news is that if you have Portal 2 the mod is free so go ahead and take a shot to listen to this piece during the game.

And just so this isn't spam and random trivia, here's something relevant.

well for awhile this has been my favorite song: https://youtu.be/lCbwe7h9kkE
I love the steampunk esc, also any of the vids in the suggestions would fit too.

but I can't choose a specific song I bounce all over when I'm working. music helps me remain calm when I often want to go into a berserking rage. Also I wish the greatest possible suffering on whomever invented the Darude Sandstorm thing when someone is looking for a song after watching a video, then again this wouldn't be happening if people would just learn to put the goddamn song in the goddamn description.

I don't mind bronies at all, several of my best friends online and in person are bronies, and if people did have a problem with it then it is their problem, people should either learn to be more tolerant or keep their bigotry to themselves.

this is brilliant as well, a good draw away from the last I mentioned, this is at a slower pace that leans more towards atmosphere than intense action. Sounds great for an opening theme or prologue sequence; I also love the use of sounds of gas-pressure pipes, moving mechanical parts, and running cogs, really draws the listener into it. towards the middle I feel like a technician in a steam powered mechanical engine room, keeping a machine alive. Sorta makes me think of the City of Ember. Steampunk is a beautiful and underused genre. I'd like to see more anime in steampunk, lately it's been almost all shonen super hero fantasy and Slice of Life.

Remember this show? Because, I do, and the theme ("The King of Rock n' Roll" by Daniel Lioneye) is getting stuck in my head. It's so headbanging and awesome.

And in order to provide some contrast to Gestalt's discerning tastes in the sophistication of classical music...
