If I take off my glasses, everything is blurry, and I can't see anything straight :(

However, I think I look better with glasses :3

Used to. Took laser eye surgery about a year ago, a decision I haven't regretted for a second.

Now I've got the sight of an eagle.

Good thing another, rare side effect didn't kick in.

Sorry, it fit too perfectly not to do. (Besides, I felt that Julius would get a good laugh, and I think he needs one)

Lucky for me that I took Intralasik, and not Lasik.

Intralasik was considerable more expensive, but since I still do have a dream of being able to fly a fighter jet one day, anything less wouldn't cut it.

Eyes fixed with normal Lasik are subject to bursting under the pressure a fighter pilot can be exposed to. Intralasik is the only eye operation the US air force will accept on their fighter pilot recruits. Pity the norwegian one doesn't, and I'm also to long to fit perfectly in the cockpit.

You're Norwegian?  I could have sworn you were Swedish. :3

If the U.S. military uses it, especially the medical class, I wouldn't trust it. If my mom had listened to them when she was pregnant with me, I wouldn't be alive today. I am actually considered a "miracle baby," that is, lucky to have been born alive. The entire situation is a bit of a story, but the fault was entirely upon the military doctor's bungling and idiocy. And that isn't the only incident with them, there are several more spanning my dad's service in the Army. He even had a friend, a colonel if I remember right, that had a bad knee and went in for surgery, and they operated on the wrong knee, so he now has two bad knees.

Luckily no. Norwegians and Swedes have an internal rivalry, even if we are friends most of the time.

There's a Dane on DA that actually pictures the Scandinavian, and the rest of the world, stereotypes perfectly.

It's not the US military that uses it. It's the only one they accept. All professional eye doctors will agree on that Intralasik is more precise and gives a better result, but for most people, it's not worth it.

Used to wear glasses. Now, my eye doctor says everything is fine and I don't have to.

For wearing my glasses? I had a case of a "lazy eye". That meant one eye would be weaker vision wise than the other. In my case, it was my right eye that was weaker. But as I said, my doctor said glasses were not necessary. That was 3 years ago. Now, I'm still living with no glasses on me.

Similar here. The situation is that my left eye

does "more effort" than my right eye.

EDIT: I just noticed that I chose 'yes' because I'm also talking on Skype and not paying attention. What a tard.

Actually me too, although I wear glasses. My visual acuity is extremely high (all opticians were really surprised, when he tested my eyes), the glasses just adjust the slight nearsightedness.

I also thought about laser surgery, but decided not to do that so far. It could cause problems with passing the first class medical. I'm still planning to start the pilot training at Lufthansa and they refuse people who corrected their eye by laser surgery.

Argentina, South America.

Most of S-A has state-owned

medical care, and althrough

the doctors are among the best

in the world, the equipment is not.

Unless the minister of health care

decides to upgrade and update it,

then we are struck with outdated

tech.
