Dublinthefox
I think avatars show peoples interests and personalities. For example, my avatar shows that I am both a starfox fan and a furry. But to some people its another meaning.

Matrilwood
I used to change my avatar to suit how I felt. Or if someone declared "random theme" avatar week (That was fun, we should do that here). Now I try to keep it the same, it makes it that much easier for people to remember who I am. I guess the only reason I started messing with my avatar was because I'd been on the site for 3 or 4 years and everyone knew me. But then someone very close to me told the Administrators that I actually did what I blamed my brother on, and I got banned Now I usually just have a picture of my favorite character that is relevant to the forum. eg, here I have a picture of Krystal, if I was on a Fire Emblem forum I'd have a picture of Roy. (My avatar on a Legend of Zelda forum is Roy, so I don't know how that works out)PS: If Matt starts asking me for links, I'll start treating him like I treated Garry. (I miss trying to kill that guy)
