Guest Julius Quasar
What about Jell-O? Gelatin is made of rendered animal connective tissue. It's also not kosher. X3Whoa, whoa, whoa...I thought Jell-O was agar gel based, with [good] bacteria...
Dermot
Whoa, whoa, whoa...I thought Jell-O was agar gel based, with [good] bacteria...Ahh, yes. Jell-O is made of refined collagen (which is animal connective tissue). See here. Not really...After dinner/lauch themost I had ever was anapple... Not much into sweetthings either... Ahh, more a fan of subtle sweetness? Do you like unsalted peanuts, and unsalted unsweetened all-natural peanut butter? It has a subtle sweetness that goes great with fuji apples. Vy'drach
I believe they've started using seaweed in place of the connective tissues for gelatin, however. Mostly due to the large number of vegetarians, and the existence and likely pressure of groups like PETA.

Vy'drach
I believe it was kelp specifically, I know they have used it to replace animal products in gelatin.

Dermot
A snack after dinner is called a dessert . I usually have a cookie I have a congenital blood sugar disease, so I'm slightly diabetic. That doesn't mean I can't have sweets, but must have them in moderation and in balance with nutritious food. So I don't have cookies, cakes or brownies that often (though I do like them and have them seldomly), and I almost never have doughnuts. But what I truly love...is ice cream.Especially chocolate ice cream, though the above picture is more gorgeous than any chocolate ice cream photo I could find. X3I devised a magnificent chocolate ice cream recipe that uses brown sugar, and it's perfect for eating in small amounts in small nibbles. It's like heaven. Dermot
Depends, what do they do with them? They're just available for public use right?Yes. And you would have to release them into public domain or a Creative Commons license or something like that. Then they can be used for...just about any purpose. For Wikipedia, for Wiktionary, or for nearly anyone else who likes awesome stock images. Some of my Yellowstone pictures are up there. You upload them in the largest resolution you have available, and Commons allows you to link to versions at nearly any arbitrary smaller size.
