I have a veeerrrry old autoshade for my windshield, the original owners of my Kammback bought it in the early 90s, and it says "Do not drive with auto shade in place"

I once had an iron, and on the instruction sheet it stated, "DO NOT IRON CLOTHES WHILE ON BODY."  That's sad.  Also, I heard of this case where this woman left the driver's seat of her RV because it was on cruise control.  The RV crashed, and she sued the company, and ACTUALLY won.  :facepalm:

That was one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.  I also heard of a criminal attempting to rob a house because no one was around and there was a big tent over it.  It was being fumigated. :facepalm:

Its actually killing people... See in America, (Yes were talking about your country, get over it) in America, if you help someone, say, out of a car-crash and for whatever reason the person dies, even if the person would have definitely died if you didn't help them, the family can sue you for big dollars. See the problem?

If you have a high chance of getting sued for mega dollars and I'm talking tens of thousands here, you'd be an idiot to help somebody. Hence people are dying and getting murdered in broad daylight because everyone is suing one another.

America's been known as the land of the lawyers for quite some time now.  Washington DC and New York City especially have a bad rep like that.

I don't think it's a law saying "You can drive with coffee" I think it's like in the UK it all comes under the blanket law of driving without due care and attention. Putting on makeup, talking on the phone, reading a map, reading a book (yep, that happened) and so on. Oddly enough there was one outcry when a man was arrested for eating chocolate while driving. Insert usual "Police got nothing better to do" claims here, but as someone who has seen a fair few near misses due to this kind of thing. (I was narrowly missed by a woman putting on makeup once, didn't even notice me) I think making someone wait until they are at home before breaking into a mars bar is a small price to pay for not being squished.

My dad, as a lawyer, has had to defend his clients from the most ***ed up lawsuits.  Also, he has cases where his client and the opposition are squabbling over the most stupidest things. 

We've also had family friends who were really wealthy 25 years ago, and now they're piss poor, 'cause they lost everything...just frittered all their money and assets away.
