To me the problem is that she is a relatively

'young' character. I mean, Peppy, Falco, Slippy and Fox

have been here since SNES. Even some of their enemies

were since then (Andross...). Additionally, the third-parties

developing them are allways doing something to her. In Command

she was at the worst, being a manipulative character.

I say: Give her time.

She has only been in like only half of the game's

(Counting SNES and SF2 as canon games). I say we wait...

It is true that her appearance made a broken fanbase.

But, that does not means we can overcome it. Additionally,

phearps a new game appearps that pleases all parties.

We simply do not know what lies in store for her, or the entire

SF team... Maybe even Miyu and Fay make a cameo.

I strongly like her, contrary to popular belief.

I like both Fara and Krystal.  I don't think there's anything wrong with that.

The only issue is that they are both romantic interests of Fox, so unless we suggest he's a polygamist, this will at some point, become a problem XD

Don't forget the huge Fox X Falco preference in Japan. Krystal is unpopular and Fara virtually unknown there.  (I'm not sure the Benimaru Itoh comics were ever published in Japan...which is ironic because "Farewell, Beloved Falco" was published only in Japan.) X3

Itoh? Pretty sure, considering he's Japanese and that was helped with Miyamoto.

I'm not saying he wasn't.  I'm sure the comic was probably made in Japan.  But I'm not sure it was ever actually published in Japan.  If it ever was, I'd love to see samples. :P

I'm a straight male and I dislike Krystal because I'm a Fara fan. Call me a shipper if you like (I'm really not >.>;; ) but I am a traditionalist and she was there first. That's all.

Fara was hardly ever there to begin with. She never appeared in any major plot at all, and your reasoning here is just as shallow and stupid as people who dislike Panther for hitting on Krystal.

Only popularity=/=what happens with a character plot wise.

Fox is straight. Fara was comics only. Krystal is the "official" choice no matter who anyone thinks would have been better. Krystal may suck and not be well written but it's the way it is.

Yeah...neither Fara, Miyu, Fay, Katt, Amanda nor Lucy are objects.  They are all respectable women whom I consider beneficial to the ensemble.

I've never been able to quite articulate what all exactly it is about Krystal that bugs me.  There's just something about her that seems...(what's the right word)...  ...false, maybe?  And I don't mean how much of her may or may not be made of silicone.

Wat. Katt is supposed to be so over the top flirty that she can hardly be taken seriously at all.

By the way, the thing that bugs you about Krystal is that she was imposed in from an entirely different game. She wasn't really meant to be in a universe where space travel was the norm and technology was advanced, she was just patched in hastily and it shows.

Krystal isn't necessarily an object. Her depth goes just as far as the other females and she hardly wins against any of them in any one category except maybe the amount of furries she's made. She was once going to be respectable, but her role as a main character slipped and she was stuck as a damsel.

Even though it was remade, Fara -was- in Starfox 2. Canon or not, that's more than just a comic-- she was a serious consideration. And may still be, we don't know.

Fara was never canon, Krystal was.

She was in the beta of starfox 2.

Exactly. Betas don't count as canon. Fara doesn't exist. Krystal stole nothing.

Only nothing suggests that. Fara, while not being horribly canon, was his old girlfriend and now we have Krystal taking him as well.

By the way, there is a difference between friendship and bromance as far as Fox/Falco goes.

Fox is asexual. There. No more arguing over his possibility for a mate, since he can't have one now  See what you lot have done? XD

Wait a second, so Marcus was just spawned from Fox's forehead?

On the contrary, Fox is pansexual.  He's capable of engaging in romantic relationships with ANYONE.  Canon wise, unfortunately, has only perceived him as straight...for now

Actually, that makes a lot more sense if he's pan.  Sometimes I lump that in with bi (simply because I'm neither), but there apparently is a real distinction - bi is an attraction to men simultaneous with an attraction to women (like being separately gay and separately straight at the same time), while pan is an attraction to people (or maybe to their personalities) independent of their gender.  I remember hearing a pan person once illustrate this sentiment: "What's the difference?  They have the same number of body parts."  I suppose pan can be considered a kind of bi, but probably not all bi people can be pan.

I think that Krystal is a very beutiful and unique character. She's kind and loving and knows her way around a gun/blaster.

Guest Mr. Mario

Maybe for 1 game, Krystal could team up with Leon S Kennedy in the next Resident Evil game.

That would be cool. I'd like to see that.  :)

Better than using a mod right?

Maybe Leon's personalitty might change a bit but he'll still have the attitude of a cop.

One of my ex's was pansexual.  It was....interesting to say the least. She didn't like it when she was being referred to as bi.
