CaramelDansen--misheard lyrics issue

The Green Fox

Recommended Posts

Carameldansen is one of my favorite songs. When I hear the lyrics in other languages besides English, I often find that the words sound like odd sentences in English. Other people have noticed this and put up misheard lyrics, but none of them have reached my same conclusions. Please listen to each version and tell me what you hear, if anything.

The japanese version is really weird when it comes to sounding like odd things in english:

As does the swedish version:

As well as the german version:

What I hear in the Japanese version:

Oh I'll have to leave and I still look fat,

woah, I'm exhausted, I need my juice.

Call me Jen. That's so much a part of me, part of me.

I can't tell what the rest is, you decide.

What I hear in the german version:

If you know my rights, you'll know I'm a window pane.

Communist spies like red cellophane.

Attention to the beat, wahaha, mousey dear, bestow a melody.

something like that.

Come talk to me, trapped inside the handbag, if you agree, let's all have a fish fry.

What I hear in the swedish version:

Oh then if you leave take a photo of me,

I'm not a fool to scan evil see,

throw me down, it's so much a part of me, part of me.

So whistle to yourselves, say wahahaha,

so we can eat our health and live a lie,

you're a bee, sing then a melody.

I want a lot of..

your smelly arms trapped inside a handbag, yours show me yours, honest be the best man,

you smell alive, pizza ain't the problem, move it behind, I'm a male dolphin, oo-oo-ooh wah-wah. Ooo-oo-ooh-wah wah-oh oh.

You sexy fools will never touch the stars,

ok forget the rest, you figure out what the rest is.

It isn't the "swedish version". The song was originally swedish from the beginning, and has just been translated from there.

Since swedish is so similar to Norwegian, I can understand the lyrics quite well.

So... It is a REAL song of just some

sort of spoof?

(Yeah, my musical experience is VERY

limited... you guessed correctly. )

lol. If you listen to the song, you'll hear strange things in english, I swear.

Also, this version makes the weird stuff sound really clear:

Oh then if you leave take a photo of me,

I'm not a fool to scan evil see,

Call me Jen,

that's so much a part of me, part of me,

so whistle to yourselve say wahaha

so we can eat our health and LIVE A LIE

  • 1 month later...

(I love this song so much but it drives my friend crazy tho when I'm with all my other friends they've never heard of this song! I'm the only person I know of besides my friend who's heard of it. I'm glad Caramelldansen has a fanbase because now I don't feel like I'm the ONLY person who liked this song. Thanks. ) Now as for the misheard lyyrics I heard:

Women are you ready for your meds,

I must see santa clause,

Call Migail

Friends fall on me (fall on me)

(And that was just in the first verse!)

I have to say, I like the techno-ish

style  :) + +

However, WHAT THE HYPER are they/it/she/him saying??!

I heard some strange things,

being a native Spanish-speaker,

and knowing English pretty well:

"Celular yeah" (Cellphone, yeah!)

"Co-Commie yeah"

"It's me a melody"

"A volar" (Let's fly)

"Soy mayor" (I am adult)

"Adios, ya apague la gente" (Goodbye, I put off people)

"Animarme a carameldansen!" (Try carameldansen!")

UBERIZED ROFL

at the weirdness.

Does not it have an English version?
