I don't recommend anyone going to Blackwater at all. They're going through some serious scandels right now.

Not so.  People like me unfairly rejected by the military for service can get into there, as can anyone who knows someone inside Blackwater...I *might* have an in, one of my relatives befriended someone in it.

I'm an Air Cadet, hoping to get some pilot training before I age out. We had our annual inspection last week... 2 hours standing at attention in the hot sun in a full dress uniform, but it's worth it. I love the program.

Took the words RIGHT out of my mouth!  Those are my EXACT reasons for joining, but mainly for self-discipline.

And no, crazyfoolinc, I'm not going to fly a plane.  Look at my earlier post about my vision and that would be my reason.

Do you seriously have any proof at all?  How can you judge whether our guys are fighting for a "just" cause?

1. He is joining the Coast Guard. Most likely he'll be off the US coast on a patrol boat to enforce maritime law, provide port security, ensure waterway safety, and render aid to distressed vessels.

2. On the issue of front line warfare, while the intent is not to kill civilians, it happens, and there are some cases where soldiers may not have used due care in exercising their duties. That doesn't mean everyone is careless.
