Stepping Down

[Mr. Krystal]

Hi all. Mr. Krystal here with a very important announcement.

Effective immediately, I am stepping down from a leadership and administrative role at Starfox-Online. This means I will no longer be making updates to the site, moderating posts, or being anything more than a normal user on SFO. I will have no special abilities or powers on this forum or the site. I have already talked with DZComposer about this and he will be taking over all site duties to be divided up if, and as, he chooses. The Krystal Archive subforum will be closed.

In a few hours, DZComposer will be receiving the culmination of all of my research, data, and access passwords for all materials and assets of SFO currently in my possession (about 5 GB-worth). Hopefully he can get it organized and posted for all to enjoy.

The Krystal Archive, Saurian Translator, Star Fox Command: All the Words, and all of my other websites are completely unaffected by this change and will be continued to be updated and maintained. I will more than likely continue to visit SFO daily as a regular member and poster.

My reasons have to do with difficulty keeping up with the demands of so many websites and personal issues with regard to the direction of the site.

I know I don't know you well but it makes me a little bit sadder that an admin is going to step down.

Now the only active ones are Steve (I think) and DZComposer.

Heh, you two almost make it sound like he's dying.  He's just gotten a little overwhelmed with all his responsibility.  Sure, we may be losing a good admin, but we still have a good member and it's going to make his life easier, right? ^^

I like the fact that your being optimistic about this, but it is kind of a big deal...

I'm not doubting DZ but it seems a little much to just hand over the ENTIRE site AND the Krystal Archive to just one Admin.

I repeat. THE KRYSTAL ARCHIVE AND MY OTHER SITES ARE UNAFFECTED BY THIS! *I* still maintain full ownership of those sites. I was never the full owner of SFO, just the half-owner. Now DZ is the full owner.

To be more specific, the main reason I'm stepping down is because DZComposer and I have fundamental disagreements about the direction the site should be taken in. We were unable to reach a compromise, so I volunteered to step down.

My Apologies, I guess i got a little confused when you mentioned the Subforums going down.

Btw, aren't the Krystal Archive Subforums the official forums for the site? That would pretty much make the people on that site unable to communicate, Well the newbies that pop up every so often anyway....

I'm happy you'll be staying around, but I have to say that it'll be a little weird not seeing you in a position of complete authority.
